I haven't had base salvage in YEARS... and I'll never have it again. Many of us will never have base salvage again and new players won't either.
I would really love it if the base salvage tab was removable from the salvage window. I say this because the default size of the window makes for the invention tab to be just outside the clickable area. If the base salvage tab were removable, then the invention tab would be clickable without having to click the cycle button.
OR
make the salvage window like the chat window where we can change the order of the tabs. I can put the base tab at the left end and never have to worry about it!
Just a thought. -
The one thing people should know:
That when it comes to video games, I have the attention span of an ADHD kid hopped up on sugar and stuck in an elementary classroom on a bright and sunny day - and yet I have stayed with this game for 7+ years.
I am not playing CoX because of the theme... I read my first superhero comic book 7+ years ago.. which would be the comic book that came from my subscription to CoH.
I am playing CoX because it's fun, engaging, and surprising.
It's fun in the way I want it to be fun - which changes from play session to play session depending on my mood. It's solo fun, team fun, or league fun on any given day - including Sundays and Holidays. It's street sweeping, badge hunting, arc completion, or farming fun.
It's engaging because the writing is just that good. The stories are fantastic and they just keep getting better. Going Rogue - to me - has some of the most intriguing stories in the game. Each new release just builds on the world and the writing. I amvery excited to see what's next.
It's suprising because you just don't know what the developers are going to release next. From awesome new costumes to QoL thing we never thought we would get. The devs listen to our feedback and give us what they can when they can as well as stuff we didn't ask for!
Power customization? Yup... Reflections? Not only on windows, but costume pieces reflect as well.. how freakin' cool is that!? How many remember the story behind the Kill Skuls badge or the plaque at the substation next to the KR tram stop? Coyote?
All in all, City of Heroes is where the people playing the game are just as passionate about its future as the developers who create the game. -
I have played CoX on two different ASUS laptops. The one I am currently on has a 17.5 inch monitor, which is really nice when not attached to my flat screen.
I bought, at the time, a top of the line model and it's been great. It's a gaming machine. You might want to take a look at them. I bought mine from Best Buy, I bet they're less expensive somewhere else tho. -
Wait wait wait wait! You can die and still get the MoLRSF badge????

Quote:Stupid Chuckers and his stupid vacation. Punch a character in their big heads for me?
It's so nice to be missed! Or at least thought about.. I look forward to rejoining you next Tuesday!
P.S. They won't let me near the characters ever since that episode a few years back when I had just gotten off the Tea Cups and barfed all over Minnie Mouse. (She deserved it anyway.. she's such a b-word.) -
[QUOTE=VoodooCompany;3633452]Still not sure where you are getting this "frozen" bit from seeing how he comes out of a giant pool of lava. Unless he's like a Hot Pocket; scorching hot on the outside but with frozen chunks on the inside.
[QUOTE]
Well, in regular missions w/o a giant pool of lava, they look like walking frozen turkeys.
I would love to join you next week, but I will be spending 9 days at DisneyWorld. I leave on Saturday!!!! -
I remember when the big frozen turkey AV was hard....

Quote:I had noticed the lag before, but last night was the first time my character ever stopped dead from lag. It was unbelievable.BAF lag really really really sucks. Escapee portion seems longer than it needs to be now and more "stressful". 2 runs and only 1 escaped, but felt damn lucky that's all it was. Timing for Pretty badge was off by a few seconds, but pulled it off with the last run.
BTW, sorry I kept stealing the star! -
I can do a tree spec
What's the level for the first treespec? 22-34?

I'll do the sutter with my elec/kin troller then switch to trials.

Quote:How can you run two iTrials at the same time? Also, I am not available tonight.Remember that this is an experiment since iTrials are a little different in regard to team forming. Will fill for a Lambda or the team will join an available BAF. Teams may be switched around if joining others for a trial, but can reform afterwards if doing more.

Quote:Just an FYI, if you're more in to drops or getting more incarnate xp on BAF, you can try to get more drops in the AV phases. If your team can handle it, you can keep the AVs ticking and drop the adds as they come in: there is a building on the north side of the tennis courts that you can get up against and make this easier.
Got a lot more Incarnate XP in a run when doing this, though of course it does make the trial longer. So if you're just in it for the rewards at the end, it's not as worth it.
I did a BAF the other night where we juggled AV's for about 9 minutes. It was awesome. Confusing the 9CU's really helps!
I went from 22% to 75% on the first slot. -
I will be absent on Tuesday, but I should be there on Wednesday.

F.Y.I. The new TF's are not a one and done type thing. You will need to do them several times in order to unlock the new incarnate slots AND get the equipment needed to fill said slots.
Shards are not used for the new stuff, threads are the building blocks. Also, the TF's experience towards the new slots. Plus, BAF and Lambda give DIFFERENT experience. Of the 4 slots, two are unlocked by BAF and two are unlocked by Lambda. After you unlock the first slot of each, then you start working on the second.
And you really need 24 people for BAF and 16 for Lambda to succeed. Be prepared to fail ALOT in the beginning. -
Seems like it cleared up, I just connected with the launcher.
-
I am getting an error message that the launcher can not connect to the update server. I try skipping that part and the launcher locks up. I was able to get into the game once and upon entry into RWZ with my character, she flew straight up and wouldn't stop. No matter what I did. Almost like my keyboard was stuck, but it's not.
Now I am trying to log in with the old COH launcher and it's verifying/repairing 3.2G of files. -
I'll take a slot on Manti with Kellie, but I won't do any Master of as I tend to die and ruin it.

Quote:Yeah... what's up wit dat crap? I say no body, no space...
Chuckers, I don't know what kind of shenanigans Tonto here is trying to pull, but if a spot is free, I'll let ya know.
It's like when you're waiting in a 2 hour line for Space Mountain and some little twink comes up and tries to pass you while saying "My friends are up there.." I want to turn around an say, "And if you had waited with them, you would be too." -
I'll take a slot each night if still available.. count me in for both runs both nights. Whatever you have available, I'll do

As many things come and go in our lives, so the tides must flow while the winds of change blow the shifting sands of fate.... Therefore, I will not be in attendance for tonight's ITFs.
