Further to my note, just before i go on hols... Im trying to arrange for the current server to stay live, but to include sections for the other games that some of us are playing...
More on that later. -
Hey all.
Just a note with one of my last remaining posts. Ill shortly be converting TS to a private server for me and my close gaming mates. Simple fact is im paying money for a facility I dont use anymore. Sure ive met a lot of nice people over the past few months on TS and they will continue to be able to use the server. Its just I dont need 50 slots anymore and so ill reduce it to something more affordable, such as 20.

The new server i get will undoubtedly be home to mostly the same people who inhabit the current server. Just that I wont encourange new users, and un-registered users will not be able to talk.

Ah.. that was Enz i beleive. I take to a bit of BF2 inbetween CoH. Its a completely different ball park to CoH and thats nice to freshen things up a bit.
Roled a new Controller last night tho and i think i just got hooked... -
To move channel, just simply double click on the channel title you desire to be in.
U = unregistered
R = Registered.
makes no odds which one of these you are.
Cant comment on not being able to talk on TS as its down to your own personal settings. Worth playing around with every Sound Setting on your system to check. Also TS sound settings is worth playing with. It has a test programme to can keep checking your settings with. -
Control Panel and SOund Settings is the route of many peoples problems. Make sure you have the obvious settings for MIC ticked / unticked. As in MUTE etc.
Difficult to say sometimes but most of the time its due to 1 small little toggle somewhere in windows that just needs flicking and hey presto...
TS has a local test feature inside the settings menu. Change things and then try it there to see if you can work it.
Also check you have the lead plugged in the correct socket. Not meaning to insult your intelligence with that one, but sometimes, just sometimes, people get it wrong.

Nope.. Think your system will get confused if you turn On Board sound on and run a soundcard.

Probably if you have 2 sound cards. If you dont have 2 sound cards, then no.
We all have al sound coming through headphones. Which often required CoH soudns to be reduced to 25%. -

If you get problems then try sending a tell to kilo, nikta, chaplain (in that order).
Players are registered to the server whenever i manage to do it. however atm, being registered allows no further benefits to being unregistered.
More people always welcome! Although id say 1 thing. This is not aimed at anyone in particular because many people do it. If you come online, please respect other peoples channels and dont come and and try to talk while people are in a mission etc. There are some generic chat areas where this is fine.
Does anyone want any other channels? Anyone have any ideas for improvement? -
Regular Team rooms cover the demand at the moment. Although just recently we have had quite a few more people online.
Deleted the Taskforce rooms. There are still 8 seperate team rooms as well as 2 / 3 other rooms. -
Anyone typically can use it. I should really sort the channels out so they give some indication of lvl range. Ill do that tonight.

I use a medusa 5.1 surround sound headphones with mic. (can hear ppl behind me etc) Good prices for which can be found on play.com

Its slow during Office hours. As in most people are at work.
To date we have had over 120 unique connections. However mostly its 20-25 regular users. -

I am actually in quite a lot of pain today. Teamspeak is very useful and does make team play a bit easier, but the amount of laughing I did yesterday when Enzyme complained for the 15th time that the Gravity Geyzers were [censored] [censored] in his Geordie tones... I almost split my sides.
Add to that the ability to humourise debt with raptuous laughter... Sorry Battle Medic. I know debt sucks but when you get 1 shotted, rezzed and 1 shotted, i cant help laughing. My bad.
The server is a little quiet sometimes. So far we have had 25 unique connections. We have about 8 regular users. All are welcome. Havent had any cause to moderate the channels thus far - hope it stays that way.
Oh and a tip. If you log on and the server appears empty. Just have a look around. Not sure what the feature of TS is that hides other connections if not in the same channel. I dont think ihave that feature turned on but its worth haveing a quick look around anyway. -
All... Union Community Teamspeak is now up an entering Beta Testing. Lol. I am not totally Au Fait with all the features and for the moment the channels are unmoderated until i can get a responsible team of moderaters up and running.

Just a quick note to any small SGs out there who are considering merging. Kaos Contingency is also small - 4/5 fully active chars. We use our Multi Gaming Clan Site at www.kaos-eu.com an use either ventrillo or teamspeak. benefits which could be used by any new members.
I am keen to merge and increase the number of actives in the SG. We can rename/remake to take on board aspects of both SG names.
This just seems like an easier route to getting new ppl in SG. (Who only leave about 2 days later or never show up again... )
