  1. *grumbles* Females don't get that awesome jacket that the male characters were wearing. Can we please see about porting that thing over?
  2. Technically, they aren't by themselves. :P You're putting together two toons with one of the most powerful debuff sets (and a good buff set on top of that) in the game - and then mixing them with a secondary that does even more debuff on top of that.

Now, if it was just one of them by themself.. that could be something.

That said, it's still pretty impressive -and I'm looking forward to leveling my new Sonic/Cold Corruptor more than ever. Congratulations on yet another pairing making it to 50.

  4. If anyone find anything, I'd be highly interested in this myself. I moved on from Vista 64-bit to Windows 7 64-bit, and I'm still having trouble with it (but, thank goodness, the regular 'display driver' crashes have since stopped).

It took me some time to figure out that it was even Alchemy that was the apparent culprit.
  5. If you've seen the screenshots I posted in the forum above: this'll be nothing new to you. It does, however, do that little graphical hiccup more justice. I give you the second most amusing bug I've ever seen.

The first, and I SWEAR I was sober, was a group of NPCs running past me to get away from something: followed by a group of NPCs sliding by me in the /e kneel emote, followed by a pair of wooden boxes shimmying on behind them, bringing up the rear.

I really wish I'd gotten video of that one.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
That... is a bug I wish I'd run across!

I'd actually send those to Microsoft anyway. See if NC will advertise with it.

Which driver release is it, and what settings, just out of curiosity? (Running Win7 x64 on a 7900GS.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Windows 7 x64 - Nvidia Control Panel lists the drivers as version 179.23 - which is older than the most current VIsta version, I believe, but tooled specifically as a beta driver for Windows 7. Oh, and I'm working with an 8800 GT at the moment.

So far as settings go.. maximum across the board.

Funnily enough, I actually thought it WAS some kind of mothership at first glance: and then a second look corrected me.
  7. While fixing most of the issues I'd had before in Vista, there's a very rare little glitch that does make for an interesting screenshot or three.

I believe I've found what causes the problem, so I'm not quite looking for technical support - I'd be in the wrong forum if I were! - but I thought the results were interesting enough to share.

Well, I think..... (fake suspense) ...

    ..funny stuff!

I'd suggest maybe turning the ui off so we wouldn't see the menu scrolling before the emote - either that, or type it in.

There are a few places where the text is tough to read, due to the background color, and I'd try to keep the text shorter - some reads may be tough to do without pausing.

Looking good - look forward to more!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Oh yay a reply. ;D

I really... don't know how to type in stuff like Chat and Dance1 and other various things... is it like your everyday /dance2 or such?

And yeah, for some reason in Adobe Premiere Pro, it would blur the subtitles into the background. I've gotta find something to counter that, maybe I should get a mic. . .

Hey guys, how about you sign up for my City of Idiots cast, so I can get an ep3 done? (' )(' )

What song did you use for the background music? It sounds familiar, like a metal take on the MGS theme.

I actually think the "bare" version is the best. Anything else seems to distract from the rest of the outfit, and there's plenty going on with her already.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is actually what was settled on. I'll post the newest versions in a little while, though they aren't terribly different from one another.
  20. Okay, I realize that's a bit fancy of a title for yet another costume help request. It seemed appropriate!

This time, I actually have a costume that I'm almost happy with. The only thing I'm really stubbed on here is the 'underneath' area. So, bearing in mind that there's really no current concept to this other than 'I like how that looks', here's what I've gone through so far in an attempt to find a solution that I like.

Here, we have the "Bare" setup. There's nothing beneath the outfit, or at least nothing visible. I like the 'clean' feel of this - but it does feel like it's missing something. (Clearly!)

So, the next step was to go through the options and find something to fill that void. Here, we have a simple Bridal top while the legs are left bare. My only complaint with this one is that the top is 'supposed' to match the skirt - and it doesn't, creating a little clash in my eyes (even if you can't color the top like you can the skirt.. and how about some Bridal/Deluxe Pants with the Bridal/Deluxe Tux designs? I'd go for those.). Maybe it's just me?

Moving on again, we have the Excess Plus version. The top, I think I like, but the bottom seems to clash between the black boots, and the red skirt. Maybe I should look at a different color?

This one is the Hearts Plus version, which is the one I'm currently using for the character. Again, though, I can't help but feel that it does clash a bit with the 'outer' wear.

Finally, for the moment, there's a Variation on the above that I'm looking at. I really can't explain this one. For some reason, it seems like it's worth considering further.

I've tried a few of the more 'tame' options, such as dress shirts, etc.. but they, too, seem to clash horribly. More so than any the above, if that seems possible.

Thoughts? I'll be adding more, possibly, as I find them, though given the options I'm currently looking at, it already feels like I'm going to be chasing my own tail for a while.

    *watches NIGHT PRAYERS and blanches*

    Oh, hell.

*watches the other two videos by Vertical Studios and blanches even further*

    Oh, bloody hell.

Watching stuff like this always rouses mixed feelings in me.

    1) PRIDE - knowing that stuff like this actually EXISTS for COH/COX that is just that damned GOOD.
    2) CHAGRIN - knowing that I can't do that quality of work.
    3) DESPAIR - thinking I may NEVER do that quality of work.
    4) RECKLESSNESS - fully intending to try anyway.

While I fully appreciate Lighthouse putting my vid in the same thread as NIGHT PRAYERS, my work doesn't hold a candle to it. NIGHT PRAYERS was fricking brilliant... and thankfully, it proves that a lot of the stuff I want to do in my vids is actually POSSIBLE.
