Hi there,
I know my post count is low, but I've been playing on and off since a little after release of CoH
Anyway to the idea!:
I was talking to a friend of mine, and we find the City of Villains zones... well... a bit repetitive... because there's so few of them (and we're alt junkies) While we easily make lots of heroes, we just can't bring ourselves to make more villains... we get bored too easily of them.
So the idea is fairly simple: Make some more zones!
A new zone for levels 5-15, one for 10-20/25, and one for 40-50.
I know you can't just add new zones without some lore... so I thought well... What if Lord Recluse decided to invade a continent (whether it be the Americas or it be an airborne invasion in the middle of Mongolia)
The result: Some new villain areas that can vary greatly from other areas and give plenty of area to expand... it's much easier to map more land out if you dont have to have new islands suspiciously popping up all over the place.
It would also give Recluse a base of operations on a continent to stage his dastardly plans from ... and add a new front to the fight with Statesman.
Statesman will from then on know Recluse has something coming... the problem is... is it coming from the Rogue Isles, or his fortress in (insert continent here)? The good guys will have to divide their forces between the 2 fronts!
The theme of these places would of course depend on where they're meant to be.
Anyway, I'll stop there for this idea. Hopefully others can come up with some themes or whatever that they'd like to see.
Edit:
Oh and as an idea for zone boundaries, since villains cherally doesnt have the big walled forcefield things...
you could have... say a valley town Surrounded by steep mountains and cliffs higher than the fly limit (snow capped?) and the sea as an inlet... things like that...
or an underground base (with igneous and trolls lurking in the depths of the caves or something)
