Ok, the boards have been absolutely dead lately, probably everyone playing in Praetoria or something (still haven't visited there yet) but *shrug* I need something to read once in a while!!

Anyway, got to wondering which characters everyone though would look best fighting each other... Or fighting besides one another... And why.

We've seen several Juggertha vs TA pieces of arts but if that the clash everyone would most want to see Juggy in? Or TA?

Comrade Hero seems to be able to hold his own in any situation but if he was going to team up with someone who do you think would look best next to him? Amerikatt is super purrfection personified but if she was going to team up would it look best with Feral Kitty or Lady Justice?


This is all totally speculative and just for fun. So use your own OC, someone elses, whatever... No artwork is being made from this so I assume no permission is needed for idle speculation and imagination

Very cool piece, and nice to see the little things being done right - The caltrops are all over the floor, one of the KoA is coming out of cloak Those little touches mean a lot!

Amerikatt looks awesome!! Though the problem with that pic now is that her awesomeness makes the rest of the picture seem really, really blank

Kappa Tau is pretty darn good as well... More so than head size (though it may be a tad small) the issue for me is that the face looks so young compared to the body. Looks like a 15 year old woke up in a muscleman's body. Course that may ne the backstory for all I know!

Seriously though, I think this may be one of my favorite Pyro pieces... It has a mood that really seems to suit her.

LoL, did you get a gift one after buying one or did you miss his Pyro art? Cause I swear I saw one a couple days ago from him... I recall a couple CoH chars I recognized - Pyro, Red Fire, LJ and maybe a few more...

If it was a standard commission I would definitely think the "signature" was a bit much... But on a special promo or such *shrug*. Preferably you'd know that was a part of the deal to begin with and as such there should be no problem with it. If the offer didn't so much as hint at it though then I'd think you'd have the right to request a change if desired...

And I am absolutely LOVING the latest from isikol - This one features the three versions of Fenian.

Fenian - The one we all know and love The Hero. A slightly seedy past but she's always had that heart of gold...

Unrepentant Fenian - The "evil" Fenian. She was created when Fenian's first major attempt at casting a real spell went... wrong. After a bunch of lightning, clouds, smoke, dust and coughing, Fenian walked away from the failed attempt chagrined but determined to carry on and make her way to Paragon... Meanwhile, the Fenian who would one day become Unrepentant Fenian walked away in the opposite direction, fed up with it all, and determined to make a name for herself... Perhaps in the Rogue Isles.

Fenian Wolf - Over there in the Isles, UF had a brief run in with Protean and a cloning factory. One clone survived. One flawed clone. At first birth this Fenian had all the natural and innate magical abilities of the other two but the faded away quicker than a rainbow... Fenian Wolf carried a mix of memories from both Fenians... from birth up until her own creation. She felt a kinship, a bond, a love for them both but she most yearned for the life of a hero. Without powers, however, she would need training. And weapons. Fenian Wolf managed through very questionable means to get enrolled in Arachnos bootcamp and soon was training to be a Soldier of Arachnos. Once she felt she was fully trained, and at the first opportunity, she went AWOL with her Bane Soldier armor and her Mace. Now Fenian Wolf is determined to make it on the streets of Paragon and be recognized as a hero in her own right... (and to party it up in the Isles when she gets the chance. The Isles have MUCH better parties!) And finally, she hopes one day to bring he sisters together... one day.

For something that's not going to be a lot of work, just settling on a title is taking a long time...

Seriously not enough praise being heaped upon you for these... they're all awesome. But unlike others, I can't really see your designs making it in game... I don't think the game could handle your designs!

btw - feel free to break out more of the pencil sketches as well! You definitely have been hiding that talent!

I think we're allowed to keep arts in a gallery thread....? I think I saw a Mod ok that... But really it could have just been someone saying it should be ok. *shrug* Just get enough art frequently enough to keep the thread undead??

And very cool piece! xJoeDx has a very cool style and is great at making sure he doesn't do the same pose over and over... I really like how he's always changing it up.

setting out to make a meme is kind of like deciding to give yourself a nickname... Even if it catches on it's just not as cool as the real thing.

Thanks all... And I agree, Bindweed and Swanzie are like a Reese Cup... Both great alone but get that peanut butter and chocolate together and yowza!! I have never seen Caemgen looking like such a Bad....errrr Bum? But I think he looks amazing here!! Great job by both Bindy and Swanzy....


CR - They initially intended to add the shamrocks around the trim but they just weren't coming out right. And since they planned on adding some flats in Paint they assumed the colors would give it that identity it was lacking... Alas, either the scan wasn't tight enough or the paper not white enough, the fill bucket wouldn't properly fill so the artist just gave up before messing them up further But ya... As is it does not immediately scream Fenian.

The Alpha one, imo, is fine... Not great, not bad, just fine. Needs some zip to be really good, they may give that one another go.

I relly like how the Caemgen one came out though. The horn definitely could be better but it's passible... bit I really like how the hair (and goatee) really define him. I'm suprised how good I think that one came out.

Ill pop in when I come up with something! I fiddled a lot last time hut usually didn't like entries enough to bother entering... But was a good excuse to fiddle in the CC...

Well I far prefer this than ones that require you to be glued to Twitter or facebook or even the boards so you can be the quickest to catch and enter the code... My feeling on those is I'm getting punished for playing the game instead of watching some social networking site... Shout them in a broadcast, then at least players would have a chance!

But the point is everyone will have different tastes and there is no contest that will make everyone happy...
