    Pretty much.

I do belive that you can get in some deep poop for lying about how much money you are making, if you are a company.

    Just so you know.

Why yes since technically you can't make real money out of this it doesn't legally count as gambling.

Of course the legality of the classification could change with a single court case and several ebay or similar similar sites, auctions as evidence.

"I spent $1 on this and sold that for $5 and that for $2, I'm $6 up!"

Did you know until recently, online RMT and so on weren't really considered trade, until goverments wised up to how much in taxes they wrre missing?

Personally, I would not have a problem with the local McD's selling alcohol as long as they were scrupulous in carding minors, just as the local convenience store is. Seriously, why can I walk into the Chevron and pick up a case of Bud but can't get a bottle from the McDonald's that's right next to it? Does that make sense to you?

Also, you are aware that McD's in some countries do serve alcohol, right?

So does this game card minors?

I'm pretty sure gambling has a minimum age in many countries.

Of course, to be completely honest I don't think a good chunk of the complaints going on now would be here if it weren't for costume pieces being part of the equation. Note I'm not saying everyone. I'm sure there'd still be plenty of people complaining about being able to spend real money for random in-game rewards if it weren't for the costume pieces, just not as many people.

appart from the costume pieces, there is nothing in the super packs you can't get elsewhwere.

    Want the inspirations?

    You can buy them.

    Want the ATO's?

You can get them through game play.

    Exp boosters?

    Buy them.

    Reward merits?

Run a whole bunch of stuff.

    Costume pieces?

Super pack only, and only a chance to get them.

Took me nearly 25 packs for the whole costume set.

Whats so special about this set that its worth almost three times the cost of a regular set?

Alcohol is seen as a vice by many people. It's a vector for addiction. It can cause brain damage if consumed in large enough quantities, and drunk driving is a very real danger.

Yet somehow 95% of the world manages to survive while imbibing fermented plant juice. It's a relaxant that gives a nice buzz and provides enjoyment when used in moderation. And most people can cope with moderation.

Same with gambling. Same with games. People with addictive personalities latch onto them. They do have the potential to harm, in that their mental chemistry is poorly wired for handling such things. But taken in moderation, they're fun. Most people enjoy them, despite the complete lack of other contribution to society they provide.

And because they're entertainment, they are not necessities. Folks with moral qualms about indulging are free to avoid them. I don't require my entertainment to be a paragon of virtue, merely not so repulsive I can't enjoy it.

You are saying there would be no complaints if say your local Mc Donalds, started serving alchol?

Okay baring in mind that I have dropped subscription for all of three or four months since the EU launch of CoV. I'll take you up on that.

I'd like proff that you have bought a second copy of GW2, additionally I'm going to keep checking for proof each month of an additional subscription to the game.

You want to play silly beggers? The games ******* afoot mate.
  12. I spent £13 on packs today, I hope Paragon are happy because that is the last money that is coming from me.

Futher more that £13 has cost their parent company at the very least £30, since I've canceled my GW2 pre-order as well as the subscription on my CoH account.
  13. Had 82 points left, purchased one packk.

    1. Temp power Experienced X 1 (I don't actually use all my vet ones by the time I hit 50, so this is useless to me)

    2. Team inspiration (Completly useless I rarely team, and would never buy consumables in the first place, unless they are things like exp boosts that last a set time.)

    3. Elemntal order face mask (Something I want)

    4. elemental order legs (Something I want)

    5. Defender ATO (Alright I guess, would of prefered another costume piece)
  14. I suspect Dink really did work on these in her own time, which makes her a class A awesome person.

However whomever waited until last night to give her permission to post it is the worst kind of ******* ever.
  15. You know what, I’ve just had one of my depressive mood switches, looking at this in the post elative light of a serious down mood, I can’t believe what I fell for.

Anybody else realised that this was announced when the super packs went live? That it’s just a way to distract us from being pissed off about their attempts to gouge us?

“Here look shinnies, look at the shinnies, don’t complain about the $20+ costume set, ‘cus look shinnies.”

The problem is Zwill can be considered somewhat a spokes person of Paragon, and what he intends to be just a joke, could be taken as official word that Paragon do not ‘give a fig’ about that particular posters concerns.
  17. Zwill could do with being a touch more professional, after all how many times have the devs ‘thought they were being funny’ and ended up off the cuff offending some one?

Without starting on what J used to post, there have been a fair few.

I don't really see how it's different from the pre-order arachnos helmets.

If you really, really wanted you could track down the pre-order codes for those helmets.

    I know I did.
  19. Okay Dink is now my favourite red name ever.

Sorry Zwill, you keep bringing us bad news, but Dink brings us presents.
  20. Ah good, I'm running low on points as it already.
  21. If we've already purchased the packs, we won't have to pay extra for these parts will we?
  22. Bah, my sub runs out in a couple of months.

I'm not purchasing these, and I'm not giving Paragon any more money.

Hell I feel betrayed enough that I'm canceling my pre-order of guild wars 2, its put me right off their parent company as well.

  24. Its like some *self censored* decided to mix deviant art with a thesarus.

I get that sometimes it is nice to play pretend, when I was eight I used to play Power Rangers with my brothers. When. I. Was. Eight....

Seriously, once you progress to big boy school your pretendy fun times games, should at least invovle your own creations.
  25. Crappy day at work.

This has really tickled my fancy, amused to the point where I could pop.

What a vainglorious verbose way to commit forum and game suicide, I would applaud but I am luaghing too hard.
