Yeah its awesome to see Gabe sticking up for that guy, and other company's (IGN, PCGamer, and a few others) have followed example. The marketing guy got dominated by the internet. I think its a good lesson for people that are in marketing or own a business as well.

If you don't know who/what Penny-Arcade.com is ... definitely get caught up. As gamers and customers I think a lot of you will enjoy seeing this!

Same thing for me ... I'm VIP ... got a email last night that my account expired ... then another email that a 3 month subscription was paid for ... I didn't do that. I log into the game and all the characters are locked ... Not VIP ... what?!?!

Okay, so with the newer format of the forums, I'm not even sure if this is the correct place to post this...if its not, I'm guessing it will be moved by a Mod.
A little background: "My" laptop is actually a friends that he used during college (2 years back) so it is old(er) and was running CoH fairly well, with low graphics.
I recently reformatted ( I think that is the correct word ) the laptop with the help of another friend. The laptop was running slow, and malewarebytes stopped running...so ..yup ...virus or something that was suffocating the computer.
So, we reinstalled windows xp, but apparently not all of the video drivers...or something is missing.
Getting this message when trying to open CoH :
Program Error-
You card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_Multitexture (then I click OK)
You card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_texture_compression (then I click OK)
Then some message about Your video card is unsupported blah blah blah...
I tried installing a ATI Video driver that I found on the HP website, it appears to install, but I can't find anything with ATI, and in the device manager there is still no video card.
If you want the HiJackThis info or other information just let me know.

I'm trying to increase my crappy pc's performance for the game.
Found this thread, tried the /maxfps # and didnt' notice much of a change.
How do I change the "E:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -maxfps 35 -maxinactivefps 5 thinger? or maybe where is a better answer.
I got to program files\city of heroes ...but couldn't figure out how to change it.

Ok ok ok.....so what about well organized teams...good players....good toons...??

Am I "abusing" the system when I have a fully IO'd out toon...and can solo missions on Invincible without a scratch??

Am I "abusing" the system when I put together a TF with friends that I know have IO'd out toons, and know how to play them well...and we can run a ITF in 25minutes or less??

I understand that farming is "bad"....but is there that much of a difference between running a Warrior farm with a team, 4 or 5 times in an hour -- compared to running a Katie or ITF twice in the same amount of time?

Maybe I'm choosing to be...ignorant....but I'm unaware of it. =p
