For those of us with crappy computers, it's more like: "3 minutes? Maybe 5? Maybe 3-5 disconnects before you actually load up?" You never know. But I am ok with logging back in, because it isn't actually a big deal...

Yeah, it's not a huge deal to me, either. It is just something I thought I'd like to have, to save time.

It is, however, frustrating when you try quickly switching out to another toon {to join a team, etc.) on the same server and it takes almost 5 min or more. That can almost seem like a lifetime in gameplay. Just saying.

But we're getting waaaaay off subject here...

Yeah, I wondered about the first bit there myself. Although, I do understand the implementation therein to save people from themselves (i.e. their own naive, forgetful, or neglectful selves). I do like the idea of making it a selectable option secured by password. Good suggestion, though not sure of the likeliness or potentiality that it would/could be an added function.

But it would be nice.

It is against the rules because it's just "bumping" a thread, which is against the rules. So, you make it a suggestion, open it up to suggestion, word it so that it's discussed with "Yeah, i agree because..." not

Whether this is effective, or outweighs the convenience factor doesn't much matter at this point. Feel free to bring it up in another thread in Suggestions. I expect you to get quite a bit of resistance, and lots more bickering, and probably not a few attacks for bringing it up again. Try not to take it too hard. Not everyone has been on the forums or playing the game as long as some of us, and don't know that this is not a new topic.

Yes, I suppose I could have searched (endlessly) through the forum to locate old posts about this. But that would take precious time away from actually playing.

That all makes sense, though. I guess for that reason I can understand and concede to the necessity of security.

I guess using 'petition' was too strong a word for this context, in a forum. Although, in my defense, the word itself can also mean; {from dictionary.com}
PETITION:
2. a request made for something desired, esp. a respectful or humble request, as to a superior or to one of those in authority; a supplication or prayer: a petition for aid; a petition to God for courage and strength.
3. something that is sought by request or entreaty: to receive one's full petition.

Ah, yes. I /second this and will add it to my 'WANT' list. :P
And while they're at it, could they improve the text handling in the bio? Trying to simply 'BACKSPACE' or 'DELETE' can cause some serious messed up text.

So, again, not to rain on an awesome announcement, here are three things I am asking to be improved;

- Improved character switching (same server)
- Expanded BIO space
- Improved text handling in BIO

I have a bigger list, but I don't want to overburden. I'll go to the suggestion thread now...

I would prefer a Single Pistol (for Heroes), but any sort of Blaster Pistol Power Set is something I have been waiting for since the Beta!

I would also like to see an option for Energyand Electrical Blasters to have an Energy Pistol/Blaster/Phaser (actually a choice of of them like the Assualt Riffle, etc Power Sets). But that would be a much lower priority than for a PISTOL power set!

Ok, a pistol in general, ANY pistol, would be awesome. Then I suppose we can beg for dual pistols. But since they now have the dual system, it's just a matter of adding the skin, coding and animation for pistols, and it'd be easier setting it up for single or dual, simultaneously.

I have a couple of ol'west and steampunk toons that are just waiting for this addition.

Seriously, who doesn't want to be a dual six-shooter, blasting machine of awesome?

You know, they've tossed the idea around [well, more like dangled a carrot] about adding more servers, or server space, or even merging the servers. But looking at the character slots, sadly I hate to admit, but there isn't much room left for squeezing in more alts... they'd start to get hard to read. =(

But we'll see. They've added more before. And they know how alt happy we all are, and how attached many of us get to our toons.
