Steel made a great suggestion here, let's pass the word! So far, Friday July 15th @ 10pm EST in RWZ. So, showing up 15 mins early is encouraged and then a 15 min window afterwards to get all the people there for this. After which, so many ppl in the zone a MS Raid will follow and I'm sure several Trials!

Either way, I wish you would out of good faith move some toons and join us for some practice. Our team practices vs other willing teams and internal drills @9pm EST in PD most days of the week.
One thing I've come to know for a fact is you will never know it all and the day you assume you do, it's likely it's gonna be a very hard lesson. Even the people you'd think have nothing to offer you are usually there with the simplicities often overlooked. -

Wanting to play with the group of friends that I am familiar with and have a rapport with is not a bad thing, it is not wrong, and was a big portion of what made Test Server so much fun for years before League's like this were brought to the forefront.
I am in no such position to even offer an ultimatum to begin with. Well, it's quite unfortunate that it is the way it is. I can assure you there would be teams willing and ready to practice or KB's there for you to join.
As for the last man standing, the only rules would be simply arena typical (No HD/TS/DR and small insp) Essentially, a team of 8 would fight the other teams of 8. Elimination style, first player from either team killed is out and then it becomes a 6v6, 4v4 and so on. The last 3 players to survive would win something (a 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively). The last two would have it out over the final biggest prize. It'll be good fun.
I don't fully agree, and we don't have to (that's the beauty of opinions). How you can say you won't bring yourself or even Xan to join the free agents (even if out of good faith) but only will come if you can bring a full team isn't an ultimatum. Then not only do our opinions vary, but also definitions of the term. As I said, you are no more right than they are wrong if that's your stance. Whether I agree, does not mean I don't respect it, make no mistakes about that. -

Have you seen what our proposed roster would be, or are you making an assumption that a team is going to be stacked for the sake of?
Take this from someone who has more experience in virtually every realm of PvP gameplay and organization that this game has seen; spreading the wealth does not offer the benefit that you assume that it does.
The rules were set in place and you can debate until you're blue in the face. At some point, you have to decide where to cut your losses. (That's just a general principle, it also applies here). Now, I concur it is an assumption that it would be a 'stacked team'. However, I don't think Xan helped there to much with his statements that you would bring a readied team that would show ppl in this current league what real PvP is like. I took no offense to that, I admire confidence and vigor. But I would hope you could see where that might come off as brash and a bit unnecessary considering this type of vehicle (text) can lack inflection and things can be not only taken out of context, but assumptions will be made. That's just human nature for you.
That is not to say it made any effect as to allowing another full team to the roster, it's how they've chosen to stick to the rules they've laid out. I can respect that as I've had to adhere to them, but then again it's unfortunate because the more experienced players there are in the mix the better. (I like you Vinnie, am a very blunt and outspoken individual, not to mention very sarcastic.)
That being said, I don't think you're anymore in the wrong than you are in the right to presume what has been presented is an ultimatum. No more so than you not participating if you can't bring an organized team to an ongoing league. It seems that's the option at this point thus for being the definition of a compromise. I wish you guys would bring more activity over here so we all benefit in the long run. Whether that be KB's or just practice, I would enjoy more experienced ppl like yourselves here. Since it cannot be a team in the current league that is going on, just come have some fun with us. The team I am currently on would welcome and appreciate more seasoned players to learn from.
In closing, while this league is going on and we have the activity of new to seasoned vets here on the server. I am going to announce a 'Last Man Standing' contest that I hope at the very least you guys will consider worth your time. (Substantial monetary prizes will be awarded. Bills not Mills) I will post the details soon and at the very least for the sake of what PvP community is left I hope will show up and participate. I would hope it wouldn't take just a league for you to move some toons and join us for KB's or even some good arena PvP to motivate. At the very least, maybe my contest will. Hope to see you here sooner than later. -

We'd all get to PvP; us newer folks can continue to benefit from the experience of others; and I think it provides a reasonable solution to the current issue--Xanatos' team gets to fight matches with the others without affecting the League, which should (I think) make MAH and Cherry happy.
Some more kickball maybe? Or a night or two a week when all comers can meet in PD (or where ever) and start laying smack downs?
Sort of like a major league sports team playing an exhibition game.

Just trying to help here, as far as why it would be an issue. By a certain date teams of 8 had to be submitted, after such time a team of 4 could form and select players from a draft that was held. That's really the stance that is being taken, because everyone else had to do so. I thought the original post that MAH made here advertised that, it has been some time so I might be mistaken.
It's not to say that you as individuals could not register at the site and join as free agents and you're more than welcome to come indulge in the PvP experience that is currently going on and I encourage and welcome you to. As you previously posted, sadly it's a dwindling aspect of the game and one I would personally hate to see deteriorate anymore or disappear altogether from CoH. It may not be ideal, but that allowance was made to get those not drafted or those late coming involved.
Here is to hoping you guys sign up and get involved, the more experience out there we have the better as you also stated previously. If not then I understand and it's a short season so maybe we'll have the chance to enjoy such an untapped resource in the game down the road.
