    RP spots?

Thanks a lot for the replies. I was surprised to see that there were so many. There was a lot of good advice given here. I'll definitely be looking into some SG's and I'll check out virtueverse when I've got the time. This was very helpful.

    RP spots?

Hey there, I've got a question for anyone who's immersed at all in the RP community. Are there any RP hotspots OTHER than Pocket D and underneath Atlas? Those are the only places I ever see anyone doing anything that looks to be in character.

I'm kind of hoping there's more, because of all the RP I've ever seen going on under Atlas, 100% of it is about vampires, catgirls, or some combination of both. As far as Pocket D goes, I've only ever heard that ERP happens frequently there, so I don't tend to hang around there much.

I'm not really immersed in the RP here, and I've not even filled out a character bio yet, but if I knew there was more than Pocket D ERP and catgirl/vampires, I'd probably be more motivated to get to it. I just feel like heroes would spend more time doing hero-things in hero-places, rather than raving in a dance party.

(As a disclaimer, I don't hate catgirls or vampires. I've actually seen some really creative catgirl characters running around. It's just that the other 96% aren't that creative..at all.) Thanks.
  3. It's nice to have you. Just a thought to consider regarding new TF's: it would be a good idea to say that upfront when you get into a team. I've never had anyone refuse to help explain things to me that way. I have, however, had someone get REALLY mad at me on my first ITF run because I wasn't well-versed with it. Have fun! I'm looking to get more immersed in the RP here myself.

    MA/SD Any good

I'm not a min/max kind of person either. I have no experience with tankers and haven't played a scrapper with /Electric. That said, I -very- much enjoy playing my MA/Shield scrapper. As far as damage goes, Shield Defense gets an ability, available at level 16, which gives you about a 12% damage buff for each enemy in melee range. That may look small, but when you fight groups of 5+, it really adds up. Solo play earlier on -can- be a little tough, but I don't remember having much trouble. I can really only give you my opinion, not hard numbers or anything. If you can find a concept that you like for a MA/Shield scrapper, I think you'll have a lot of fun with it.

Blue Steel is also a MA/Shield scrapper.
  5. I'm not sure if this has been asked before or not, but I couldn't find the answer when I went looking. Anyway, there's a possibility that I may be getting one of the new macbook pro's sometime within the next month and I wanted to ask: Does ultra mode work on the new macbook pro? I want to know for one of two reasons.

    1. To get excited
or 2. To not get my hopes up too high

It's still a step up graphically no matter how I look at it, as I'm currently using one of the last generation black macbooks, so I'm still going to be excited either way. Anyway, I appreciate any answers I could get for this, one way or the other.

    Friday TFs

I'll try my best to be there.
  7. Oh man! I so wish I had noticed this back when it was still happening; this sounds like a lot of fun. Oh well, congrats to the winners!
