  1. Well, for my take, tried to stick with the sapphire theme, while keeping some of the elements of your original design. Kept the bird icon, but to bring it out more, and give it that cheesy, golden age tanker/protector appeal, used the chest emblem shield, with more gold to bring it out.

Gold contrasts well with the sapphire/light blue, and gives a 'majestic' feel to it, so I used it a lot as accents. Chose some more armored looking pieces, like the Tech 1 shoulders, Wrist Bands, and large, Armor Plate boots. Plus a nifty half helmet, since you are a tank, and all that. Not certain what your origin is, but armor always helps when taking a beating >_>

    Sapphire Assault take two.

Gave him a smirk, since I always imagine tanks to be a little cocky >_>
  2. I had to go back and do a double take of the image. I saw the two ferrets (Squirrels?) at the bottom right as I was closing the image, and had to make sure I had not just seen two critters bumping uglies in a Disney-esq picture >_>

I've seen it before, so it wouldn't really surprise me that much <_<

    Dragon...berry?

Ah, good ol Axer, just so happens I watch that fellow...now if he would just post new art swag more often then twice a month >_>

    1) Natural origin Mind Controller/Empath

    2) Mass Hypnosis!

    3) Hass Hypnosis from my point of view. I wave my arms out, and everyone in a huge radius takes a nap ^_^

    4) Mostly anything robotic, or undead, as both groups tend to lack the brains to be afraid of me would be least favorite : p Difficult to put to sleep. Everything else I am good with ^_^
  5. Oh, wait, strike that! I do have one other corr ^_^

    Jack of Bones!

My aptly named Dark/Fire corrupter. Now if only I would take the time to get him past level 5, he might have some really cool powers >_>
  6. Well, I only have one corrupter I think, BlackBetty , my Sonic/Kinetic. She is an alternate universe clone of my main, who is forced to wear a muzzle to control the destructive nature of her voice.

...yeah, my corrupter is my controller's evil twin from another dimension, cloned from her DNA...I never claimed I was that creative : p
  7. Ack! I didn't even think of people being blocked from PB : p

    Thors Assassin

    Roxstar

    The Designated Drivers

And it's too bad you missed out on the con FF : ( Truth be told, I wanted to spend more time in artists alley, and get some more sketches of other characters, and forumites...but I am just too damn shy to talk to that many people. For some reason, Milton and Jim were just easy to approach. I think for Milton, it was because the rest of his crew at the table were waving people over with free candy, and saying, "Hey! You want him to draw you something? He'll draw anything, even something really disturbing, challenge him!"
  8. Heh, http://rabidwookiee.deviantart.com/ <--That's a me! Funny thing, since I saw one wookiee ant the convention, as well as Peter Mayhew, good ol' Chewbacca. Oh, and there was a Power Girl there that would have made you drool >_> The one time I go to ECCC without my camera >_<
  9. Heh, well I am glad you like it ; ) It's funny, on Roxstar's, the artist Jim asked me why I was having other people's characters drawn. I just like adding a little campy humor to all the serious and stoic imagery out there...because really, some times you lot are waaay to epic >_>

Which is not to say you aren't fun too, with all the chibis and goofy pictures out there ^_^

And with Rox's picture, I suppose you could just say he's really in tune with mother earth some days ; )

((And it is no secret to me that kittens are the true source of power in this universe, after all, I have seen the Legion of Catgirls in action ^_^ ))
  10. So, I just arrived home from Emerald City Comic Con and see Battlewraith completed my Oniwanban no Shoujou commission. Freaking awesome. Excellent weekend over all ^_^

Now, the point of the thread. Any one who has been to a convention probably knows about artist alley. A fantastic place to view wonderful artists works, purchase prints, sketchbooks, and or course, sketches ^_^ So, I went to the convention with evil intent this time around. I present to you...

The true secret behind Thors Assassin's great power! That's right folks, his armor is powered by kittens! The only energy source great enough to create that much static charge, and inherently cute enough to compel all those artists to draw him. It was a toss up between kittens, and tons of money pouring out >_> ((Sketched by the over talented, over worked Milton Cadogen))

And please don't ask me what compelled me to have this drawn...it arose from a discussion with the artist, James Dean Smith, creator of Boris the Bear. I give you, gender bender Roxstar...Because I am slightly mad...you should all be glad I cannot draw myself, because the forums would be flooded with these things.

And, I figured I should have something for one of my own characters, but as if by some divine retribution for the other two images, the sketched turned out slightly off >_> D and D, the Designated Drivers of the super group Bottoms Up. Unfortunately, from this screenshot, on my tiny PSP screen, Milton couldn't tell Mistress Noires and my characters were female...and I didn't stick around to watch that sketch, so...heh, I am my own worst enemy ^_^

    Oni Final

    [ QUOTE ]
Nicely done there, though, is that a fan he's holding or what?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Tetsuba, actually. A large iron club/mace that is often seen with Oni statues and other depictions ; ) She is a stone melee brute, but for character concept, she swings a giant tetsuba rather then a mallet ^_^

And a very awesome image there, I am most happy indeed ^_^ Not only did I just get back from a comic convention, but I get to come home to this. Excellent end to my weekend, many thanks to Battlewraith!

((Email is chumpmail@giftzahn.com by the by, if you wanted to send payment information ^_^ ))
  12. Very awesome indeed ^_^ Further comments in DA, of course.

    *Bounces*

((Oh, and I really appreciate the updates too. Hoping my Oni concept hasn't been too annoying to work with <_< ))
  13. Suspend disbelief! I mean, just look at those huge...electrical arcs >_> She is obviously suspended by some kind of static currents <_<

    Free Art Mk. II

    >_>

    The Designated Drivers!

Twin sisters of justice! The official designated drivers of Bottoms Up! D and D, or Double D as some like to call them, will stop at nothing to make sure their friends get home safely after a long night of heroics, and hard alcohol.

Designated Drivers have street cred >_>

Double vision? They'll have your car keys out of those pockets before you know what hit you.

And remember, Bottoms up for a good time.

Edit! Forgot to mention, they are both Mind Control/Kinetics. Because nothing says drive safe like a speed boost and an increase density ^_^

    Zoooooom~WHUNK!~ Wall >_<
  15. 1920 by 1200 saved as TGA format. As it turns out, only 5,327 screen shots, but still 29.3 gigs...heh, I tossed one of my web comic folders in there on accident during the initial consolidation ; )
  16. >_<

Damn you and your screen shot post. You prompted me to collect my various screen shot folders from the past couple years, and move them to a separate drive, so I could organize them better. Finally found all of them, and have them in one place...now all I need to do is divide them in to years, and months.

11,650 files, 30.7 gigabytes...Some times I hate my nervous screen shot finger (Right ring finger, by the by)...
  17. Oh, I know what you mean!

Another fine screenshot of an arachnos base, ruined by some amature getting in the way!

    And again...

Just imagine how much better the view of that villains crotch would be had I been in first person!

    >_>

You said screenshots, that may as well be a word of power, because it summons them from the void of the internets : p
  18. May be I will just post a favorite screen shot here every day, proliferate myself to this part of the forums >_> At least I am more likely to write crap here every day then in a blog.

    My stress relief toon.

Oniwanban no Shoujou, a stone/dark armor brute. There is just something incredibly fun about that set, at least for me. The animations are incredibly vibrant, and expressive...and being able to shake the screen with a rumbling boom, on almost every attack, certainly doesn't hurt ^_^

    Not quite a nuke...

But damn I love the boom. The only way it would be better is if it didn't take so long. Ah well, makes for some fun combined with a full fury bar, electric fences, and in two more levels, ball lightning. Actually, I am using that last screen as my desktop at the moment. Kind of like she's trying to bust through my monitor to kick my...stupid over sensitive censors <_<

    Oni Head Study

Heh, for a point of reference...

I did not give BW much to work with as expressions go ; )

Oni was not created to express emotion in any human capacity though, as everything she does is an expression of her sacred duty. Holy, or unholy, she likely wouldn't have any gripe with the monk/priest in this situation, since her only duty is guarding the gate...and occasionally escorting 'lost' travelers back to their proper side.

I like what she has managed with what little room for expression there is on this character, though. In all honesty, as a stone/DA brute, she has a very dynamic range of motion in her powers, which I think more then makes up for her being fugly as all get out. When Oni wants some one to know she's angry, they'll get the hint when the ground starts shaking ; )
  20. I was just going through some of my 20 odd gigabytes of screen shots, thinking to myself, "Holy crap, I need to sort through these, find my favorites, and ditch the rest." Because I have this old photographer habit. I was taught that the odds of taking a good picture are about one in twenty, at best, so you find a scene you like, and take as many shots as you can.

This translates to my spamming the print screen key whenever I get the whim...and I never clean house, or my hard drive for that matter. Any who, this thread is where I will post some of my fond memories because what is the point of taking all these screen shots, and not showing any one?

One of my favorite nukes with The Kitty Construct.

And a moment before that with the HUD up.

The Kitty Construct was actually my first character in two and a half years with a nuke of any kind, because I tend to stick with controllers as my main arsenal, and level very slowly. To say I was excited, and a bit trigger happy when she hit 38 is an understatement. At the time, she mostly ran with a duo or trio of extremely effective players, keeping defensive with the kinetics, since all the damage was taken care of by a scrapper and a warshade.

After hitting 38 though, I kept leaping in to full mobs, and stealing the warshade's prime Eclipse fodder to Fulcrum Shift and nuke to my heart's content...and for that, War, I apologize ; ) Of course, that group out leveled me near a month ago, and now they are almost catching up to me with their new controller group...I'm sooo slow >_>
  21. As noted in DA...

    *Bounces in chair*

  22. Ooooh...

*Drools and gets all bouncy in anticipation*

    Runi's toons

Mmm, pie ^_^ Any one who ever doubted the power of pie, let it be known, pie can regenerate you!

Never mind the small technicality you need to be of a certain species to gain that particular benefit...pie is awesome >_>

((And now that I have further espoused the glories of the pie, I enjoy your style as well ^_^))
  24. You know, this topic is becoming a little scarier then a bunny in a box >_>
  25. Heh, awesome, and frightening at the same time. Some how I can see a mastermind building an army of Invinvibelle fem-bots equipped with exploding costumes >_>
