  1. after much google searching, I tracked it down to a program, Guarded ID, part of Comcast Constant Guard security suite. I removed the Guarded ID part, which was either encrypting keystrokes or preventing keymapping, and now the keyboard works right.
  2. I've found that if I hold down the alt key, then the w a s d movement keys work correctly. But I don't want to play with my thumb on the alt key all night.
Does this give any hints as to the cause?
  3. it happens in Everquest II also i just discovered. Any letter key registers as a number instead.
  4. here is the hijack this log for previous post

  5. I just got a new computer, HP p6719c, running Windows 7 64bit. I copied the COH folder from other computer into Program Files (x86) folder, downloaded NCSoftLauncher and updated.
When I log in character everything looks fine, but pressing any key on keyboard just inputs sequential numbers instead of doing what the keymap says they do. example, pressing w for running forward activates the first icon in the power tray instead. pressing w again activates the second power.
Clicking on the chat bar, I can type normally and the correct letters are entered in the chat bar.
using the mouse I can select power icons normally or run forward holding both buttons.
has anyone had this experience, or an idea what could cause it? My other PC is running winXP.

Here is COH Helper log incase it helps.

  6. I thought I understood the mechanics of the market when it was introduced, but now I am questioning myself.

I have had a crafted invention "Edict of the Masteramage" on the market for over a month, asking 2 million. The I see there are two for sale and two bidders. But the last 5 sales within the last 20 days are all over 2 million.

I thought the lowest priced item sold first for whatever offer was higher than asking price, when there is a tie the earliest posted sells. Am I mistaken?

Perhaps people are just offering extrememly high prices for this item when all the sellers are asking much less. I find that foolish.

Anyone have an explaination that I have missed?
  7. Hmm, I told my son I11 was coming soon. So he renewed his subscription so he would have Thanksgiving holiday to play as well as Christmas break.

Did I miss out because he renewed too soon?

Some people in game have been saying that you get a badge for 500 presents collected.

Does anyone know if this is true?

    [/ QUOTE ]

There is a badge for 200 presents.

There are NO badges for anything higher than that, so no need to try.

    [/ QUOTE ]

From experience, after farming present spawn points, it just seems like it was 500.

I got my toy collector badge today.
