Okay. I want to give a brute a try and I have not tried Energy Aura or Dark Armor before nor have I tried Katana or Elecetric Melee. My search-fu is bad as I can't find anything for these combos of brutes. So I am asking the brute community, is an ElecM/EA brute worth it? Katana/Dark better? Dark Melee/EA? What is your recommendations or experiences with these combos? Help please.

I just got one brute to level 24 (SS/SD) and the other (SS/elec) to 22 for SOs. I thought about looking into sets but they seem very expensive. Thanks for the information. I need to look into the defense vs resistance numbers. Is MID's still reliable for those numbers?

Sadly, I have been away from the game for awhile. I am just getting back into it and I'm really enjoying the changes so far.

I do have a question I hope you can help me with. I have two brute characters that I started post ED but I'm wondering which one to take to 50 post I-19. I have a ss/elec and an ss/shield brute (both are low level). As you can see, I enjoy SS but with all the changes, which one should I keep or has ss/ been changed enough that its time for a brand new brute?

My search-fu is bad but if you have any advice for a returning player, I'm all ears.

Thanks for the input. Two-thirds of the SG are min/maxers and are all about the quick 'arrest'. At least we all agree on shield awesomeness.

My Supergroup is going back and forth on the 'numbers' for which scrapz has the better AoE potential/survivability. Right now it is down to elec/sd and fire/sd. Would someone who has the math down please comment so we can put this dead horse away once and for all!

I've been tanking quite a bit lately (I know I know). With double xp on the way, I thought I try a scrapper. I wanted to try the elec/shield for it potential AoE goodness as my shield/elec tank is fun. After looking through the posts, I've changed my mind a dozen times. It went from elec/sd to fire/sd to kat/regen to kat/wp to elec/wp back to elec/sd. I would like something that can deal the damage that doesn't cost a mint. Please help me choose...

I started up a warshade using Alienone's guide, which is fantastic. I'm not rich by any means so I use SO's and some IO's. I hit level 38 and was excited for eclipse but everytime I jump into a group, fire off my attack chain, I inevitably get knocked on my behind or mez'd or verbally abused by the mob. So my questions are:

Do I invest in a knockback proc for KB? Do I have to buy IO sets for mez protection? or do I just need to adjust my tactics? What are my options?

Any advice, builds or experiences would be appreciated.

I need your help. I am thinking of finally making a tank. I'd want to try a shield/electric tank but can't find very much information. If you have any build ideas, I'd love to see them. I'd like to take it out for a winter event drive so any help would be appreciated.
