    I keep hearing everyone complaining about villians not getting Illusion and Masterminds not getting a primary. I was just thinking that Illusion would make a great Primary for mastermind. The tweaking would be extensive. But something too look at.

    1 - Spectral Wounds
    1 - Phantom Army
    2 - Propel (from Gravity... make some of the damage heal back like spectral wounds)
    6 - Solidify (see below for what it adds to minions)
    8 - Group Invisibilty
    12 - Spectral Terror
    18 - Agnise (see below for what it adds to minions)
    26 - Phantasm
    32 - Psychic Scream (From Dominator Psionic)

    You would have to tweak the minions powers... (more damage but have some of it heal back in time to keep the feel)
    Basic Minion Art would sorta look partially invised. Solidify would make them solid. Agnize would give them an aura.

    Since when is Hide an inherent power? Their inherent power is Assassination, which is basically Scrapper criticals.

    If you're gonna count Hide as an inherent, then Stalkers have two inherents: they get Scrapper inherent criticals and Hide. Is that fair that they get two?

    And if you don't count criticals as an inherent, then Scrappers don't get any inherent.

    Count it however you like, you're still only seeing what you want to see.

    A. When Hidden or Placated

    Ever AS out of hide? you will do no more that 90 points of damage. I dont even like stalkers so I guess you win ....lol

    Because there is no light-control-plus-melee Archetype on Villain-side, that's why. It doesn't map across directly to any Archetype.

    If you include Devices as a set that Villains don't have, you have to include all Blaster secondaries, all Dominator secondaries, all Mastermind primaries, Kheldian and VEAT powers, and all Stalker seconaries (because they're not exactly the same as Scrapper secondaries). The list gets long and ridiculous. Didn't you see it?

    To be honest I dont even know what we are talking about anymore.

    I guess it comes down to personal opinion and I feel like CoX PvP is being changed in a big way. I guess I have to see how the beta test comes out and the VEAT to decide How I truely feel about this update and decide if I would like to continue playing CoV.

    Hey, you almost had it. Remember, the Villain Epic Archetypes also have additional form sets: Fortunata, Night Widow, Crab Dude, and the other one. Add those back in and call it a day: and villains still win, man.

    I didn't include 'em the first time around because I knew somebody would be whiny enough to mention it. Wanna list the all the 41-49 power pools too? Or hasn't the argument got stupid enough yet?

    Don't forget that if we're allowing the Kheldian forms as separate powersets, then surely the set of powers for each Mastermind pet type counts. That's 15 more villain sets (oh, wait--16; mustn't forget the ghost). Then we can count a set each for all the Controller and Dominator pets that aren't shared--Controllers get a little edge there from Illusion, but then we have to consider Gang War, which acts more like a mass Cont/Dom pet. Poor Dark Fluffy is on both sides, so he doesn't count.

    Why are stalkers the only AT in the whole game that their inherent power takes up a power slot? When hidden a stalker can crit. Does Defiance take up a power slot? Does Gaunlet? Does Containment? Am I the only one that finds this wrong?

    Dominator Assault and Blaster Manipulation sets are matched in regard to Fire, Ice, Energy, Electricity and Mental/Psy. The differences are that Doms have Thorny Assault while Blasters have Devices.

    Impale = Impale
    Spine Burst = Thorn Burst
    Ripper = Ripper
    Throw Spines = Fling Thorns
    Build up = Aim
    Barb Swipe (DoT Melee)= Thorn Barrage (DoT Range)
    Quills (PBAoE) = Thorntrops (Location AoE)
    Confront = Thorny Darts (We get an extra attack)

    The point is, anyone can present a selectively edited list that purports to show heroes have more unique primary and secondary powers. But it takes some creative blindness. Truthfully, they're pretty equal, all things considered.

    The only thing that upsets me is that some of us always thought Thermal was their version of Empathy and now heroes have it also and we didnt get anything in return. I am not upset about all the other powers its just that and the fact that villains cannot get powerboosted buffs to give away to team members. Am I the only one who finds this to be wrong?

    Heroes can give +perception at lvl 8 with a emp defender and villains can give +perception at lvl 35 with clarity. Am I the only one who finds this to be wrong?

    Controllers and Defenders get the same buffs that create easier team playing and PvP. Corruptors and Masterminds have different buffs/debuffs except traps and dark miasma that forces one AT to be a buffer. Am I the only one who finds this to be wrong?

Granted you have to access them from another set, however each form gets different HP, can be slotted, separately and they receive special powers that are not included in the original set.

    I agree...I have to get Concealment and Leadership to do what a Devices does and that leave me with 2 power pools to select. So I will need fitness and that leave me with one travel power. Do I get Superspeed for hasten? Do I get TP for TP foe? If I get TP then my recharge will suck because of the lack of hasten. etc...

    Blasters: Energy Manipulation (If you count Vengeance) =1

    Villains
    Dominators: Energy Assault and Ice Assault (If you count Vengeance) =2
    Heroes win = 18-2

    For the most part Katana = Ninja Blade, Devices is very similar to Traps, Energy Aura was introduced as a villianish counterpart to Ice Armor. Also they needed something to pair up with Energy Melee. Ninjutsu is almost like a Scrapper defense set with some devices powers thrown in.

Really figure out what is happening in PvP when you bring Psi Blast, and Powerboosted Cold Debuffs and Powerboosted Thermal Debuffs vs Villains.

    Controller and defenders get the same buffs/debuff so teaming is easier for PvP and PvE. Do the same for Corruptors and Masterminds. Give masterminds thermal, sonic, cold, kinetics etc... and give corruptors poison, trick arrow, etc... Its even hard to do a PvP pentad team because trollers can get */Emp with powerboost and a defender get Emp/* with power build up, while Villains get */Thermal corruptor and */Force Field MM. Different AT's with the same powers. Who will win?

    The Psi Blasters isnt the issue its the fact that heroes are getting our best heal on the red side as a heal set on the blue side and we dont even get a controller version of Empathy. This is my saddest day playing this game. Defenders are even getting our cold buffs set as a primary so it will be superior to the corruptor set and that doesnt include the Power Build Up they get from the epic powers that will make the ice defense more powerful than power build up fort's defense.


    When I was young I was never last to be picked on a sports team and I always felt bad for the kid who got picked last or had to sit out because of the uneven amount. Well today I feel like the last kid left and I am gettin no love from the Devs.
  16. Are they going to have it where you can remove enhancements and place them in your tray so you wont have to respec everytime so you wont lose enhancements when you upgrade?

  18. I hope this is the beginning of many more zones where Heroes and Villains can team up. I would like to see it where a Hero and Villain can lvl up with each other from lvl 1-50. It might be a little to much to ask, but I am happy for what is coming.

    P.S. I think WB should allow heroes and villains team up for PvP or make a lvl 50 PvP zone where this would be possible.
  19. I spoke with Lush and placed an order on 8/28/06 and havent heard from anyone. I already paid half so I was wondering how close is my drawing to getting done. I am a Army Soldier stationed overseas and I am getting medically released due to some injuries I received.

    Can someone please send me a message and let me know about my status on my art. I tried to send something twice on the MMOART Forums and it can up with a weird reason I cant log on both times.
  20. I tried the LRSF with my first 50 on villains - Mind/Energy Dom - Failed
    I tried the LRSF with my second 50 on CoV - Robots/FF MM - Failed
    I tried the LRSF with my third 50 on Villains - SS/EA Brute - Passed!!!

    I had alot of fun on the SF and it was good to have some experienced players who did the mission before and show us the short cuts. I didnt die till the last mission, however I dont think we would have died if we had a full team. One of the brutes had to leave and the dom we used to run into a mob and die so we could use vengence. We had 4 Corr, 3 brutes and a Dom.

    For everone on my team thanx for the fun.
