Hey, you never know...
You know the movie Hancock starring Will Smith hits next week as well. It would be interesting to have a CoH plug in the movie, or a trailer before the movie, or have some sort of tie-in with the movie. -
If I had to speculate, it would be the announcement of "City of Heroes: The TV series" , coming this fall to (insert network here). Either a live-action or (more likely) CGI series featuring the Freedom Phalanx and a host of other characters, with guest appearances from actual game characters.
But that would just be my speculation... not to mention remembering a certain article over at the SciFi Channel's website. -
I only have two words to say...
THIS ROCKS! -
Okay since when did NC Soft get bought out by Golan-Globus and the developers replaced by Joel Schumacher ("Batman and Robin"), the scriptwriters for "Superman IV", and the programmers behind Microsoft Bob and Windows ME? If I was looking for visual sounds, I would have bought Viewtiful Joe.
I am SERIOUSLY hoping someone with a red username is going to say APRIL FOOLS at the end of this whole thing.
Meanwhile... I'll just take the Battlerock Jet over to the Battlerock Cave and chill out with some Battlerock Root Beer (because anything else would be wrong) and watch the game on the Battlerock Monitors while reclining on the Battlerock Lounger. Someone fire up the "X-Signal" when we progress back to the gritty gruesome Frank Miller era. -

Perhaps you should view this thread ExLibris basically gave a sticky thread for this several months ago (like September I think).

Okay, you're right...
And now I'm pissed because I acutally did a search for this topic before making the post (using the word "Radio" no less) and I came up with NOTHING! Someone needs to biach-slap the server up and make it WORK! I am getting sick and tired of doing searches and have some poster drop a link and say "Use the search feature, dooooooode". -
Okay, since we have a multi-media forum now, I'm hoping we could generate a little directory of "City Of..." Internet radio stations. And no I don't mean the "Radioooooooooooooo" in Port Oaks.
Here's the suggested format:
Name: (The name of the radio station)
Website: (The website address)
Home Server: (Which CoH/CoV server does this station favor?)
Themed Content: (Does it have spoof "City of" commercials? Do they air Hero-themed or Villain-themed music?)
Mature Content: (Is it FCC safe or does it have language and content that would make Howard Stern blush?)
Other notes: (Anything else you want to say about the station?)
I know there are at least two such radio stations... I'll try to get the first one listed soon. -
Several of my characters are members of Guardians of Might, but I do have one SG of my own in Justice.
SG Name: Omega2
SG Leaders: Battlerock X
SG Website (if any): The Battlerock X Chronicles
SG Recruiters: Battlerock X (if he decides)
Teamspeak/Ventrillo Server: none for this SG
SG Peak Hours: whenever time allows
Other Info: As detailed in the (yet unpublished) story "Remembrance of War", Battlerock X was a surviving member of the original Omega Team who spent five years as a brain-damaged homeless derelict before the shock of the second Rikti Invasion forced him to remember who he was. To help unlock more of his lost memories, he created a small supergroup in honor of the Omega team. Unfortunately running a small one-man base without power or resources raises serious problems to where he is seriously considering recruiting others to his organization. -

/ignore_spammer
By using this command, a user will let our customer support know that they consider the person they added to their ignore list as one that is spamming. For example, if a player receives an in-game tell advertising for a real money trade web site, they can use the /ignore_spammer command, followed by the name of the character they received this advertisement tell from to put them on ignore.
Ideally, the user can then follow up with a /petition to also let us know of the disruptive behavior via that method.

THANK you!!!
Although I would suggest that maybe the /ignore_spammer be followed behind the scenes by an automatic /petition command instead of having the user to do both.
