I was working on a fan fiction story concerning some past events in "City Of" when I wondered whatever happened to Miss Liberty .

You know, Ms. Liberty's mother, daughter of Maiden Justice and Statesman?

Anyone know if she is still around? Or was she one of the casualties of the Rikti War?

Well then I hope the Rikti bomb the crap out of the AE building in Atlas and force them to rebuild it in one of the unused corners of the area. (Yes, I know its unrealistic.)

I don't mind AE, I just don't like where they put it in Atlas. Bad enough there's a congestion problem by Atlas Plaza and Wentworths but to stick THAT mapserver-killer in the same general area? That's just poor planning.

Come on guys, the congestion is supposed to be on the freeways, NOT on the mapserver!

3 things:

(1) I am surprised that NOBODY has jumped on the hint that Positron gave about i16!!!

(2) I tried to go to the "More Images Can Be Found Here " in the Base showcase but it is asking for a password for me to proceed.

Will owner of the Photobucket account PLEASE remove the password qualification so we can see the rest of the images?

(3) I know Trina The Body Sculptress needs to apply some of her skills to herself, but I don't think she needs to sacrifice what she has already just to look like a demented Spice Girl ready to marry herself. There is already one of those out there in the world and she happens to be in a TLC series with eight kids.

Lest the Arbiter forget that *I* have to look at her too!

This is the week before the 4th of July. If they have it go live now, try to iron out as many of the last-minute go-live kinks now (or have we all forgotten about i14's release?), then they can go into the Independence Day holiday with most of their hassles done with.

Sound business tactic.

By the way, I sincerely hope they do not rush SB3 on the same week as i15. I know I may be too late on this, but give the folks a week or two to play with i15 and iron out the bugs before adding the toys!

Okay, here is my list:

Base Suggestions
The following are suggestions for items to be included in a base. Many of these will be pretty much cosmetic. There should be a basic rule that anything you see in a normal mission map should also be available for a SG/VG either to be purchased outright or else crafted.

Base Splash Screen: Instead of having a typical “wait” screen, have one that introduces the player to the base. The splash screen would consist of the group’s insignia, group name, and a choice of backgrounds (tech or arcane).

Auxiliary Floor Textures: to be added to the floor on the highest level. If the texture exists on high floor, then all floors below it will have this.
• Water (tint-able)
• Snow (always white)
• Fog (tint-able)
• Sand (tint-able)

Auxiliary Ceiling Textures: to be added the ceiling of the lowest level. If the texture exists on the lowest ceiling, then all ceilings above it will have this.
• Clouds (tint-able)
• Stardust (always white)
• Aurora (tint-able)

Floor Textures: Include the following textures
• Floor Tile (currently listed as a “room detail”, should actually be a floor style)
• Ice/oil slick
• Carpet (shag carpet – can double for grass)
• Crystal
• Cavern
• Cobblestones

Wall Textures: Include the following
• Cavern
• Crystal
• Drywall (plain wall)
• Drywall 2 (low wall with molding and wooden baseboards)
• Cobblestones

Ceiling Textures: Include the following
• Cavern
• Crystal
• Stucco

Counters: All counters (not wall cabinets) SHOULD be stackable, especially for “room detail” items! Same for bookshelves. All counters currently listed under “Desks” should be moved here. The following should be added as well:
• Refrigerator/Freezer (stand-alone model)
• Refrigerator-Freezer-1 (combo model – vertical split)
• Refrigerator-Freezer-2 (combo model – horizontal split)
• Horizontal Freezer
• Large Glass Cabinet (basically a larger and wider glass cabinet)
• Range Oven & Stove
• Washer/Dryer

Room Details:
• Pizza boxes (if you’re going to have a mess, make it worth something)
• Drink can (single)
• Drink cans (several)
• Bonzai Plant (small)
• Bonzai Planet (large)
• Water fountain (decorative kind, not drinking)
• Pinball Machine
• Slot Machine
• Pool table
• Vending Machine
• Stacks of money
• Drinking glasses
• Coffee mugs
• Dish rack (empty)
• Dish rack with dishes
• Water fountain
• Dirty dishes
• Dishes with food
• Place-settings (plate, silverware, glass) - no food

Tech Items: Purely decorative items, not to be confused with control items

• Crystal Terminal (think crystals instead of keys or buttons)
• Candle Circle (circle of lit candles surrounding the SG/VG emblem)
• Sundial
• Crystal Display (similar to Tech monitors only using crystals)

Wall Items:
• Windows (see the windows at the police station if you need an example)
• Windows with blinds
• Windows with curtains
• Small Touchscreen panel (decorative only)
• Large Touchscreen panel (decorative only)
• Country flags (US, Rogue Isles, USSR)
• State flags (Rhode Island)
• SG/VG flags (as opposed to vertical banners)
• Small mirror (doesn’t have to be really reflective)
• Large mirror (see small mirror)
• Wall mirror (see small mirror)
• Flowing water
• Pipe Outlet - no water
• Pipe Outlet - with falling water
• Waterfall - Thin
• Waterfall - Big

Pillars: Make pillars more versatile so they can be placed next to each other, and add the following textures:
• Greek (white)
• Water/Energy (tintable)
• Dark Matter (Black with stars)
• Dimensional Swirl (multicolored)

I share in your frustration. One of my alts was being asked "Mind filling for a sec" numerous times by someone.

Now when this happens I check my search status to make sure it states that I do not fill. Sure enough the status still said "Ask First, No Fill-ins Accepted".

Do these morons not know how to READ???

They searched for my character to ask whether or not they would fill, they NEEDED to have seen the message because they wouldn't have sent a tell otherwise, and my alt was not near a place where a task force leader would have been trolling for fills.

Maybe we are taking this the wrong way... I think from now on I will be telling people if they want me to fill they need to pay me a million influence - in advance. If they want me to waste my time, they should make it worth my while.

What do you think, guys? A million inf paid in advance for fills?

Some of the frames I shortened the timing on, so I shaved a few seconds off the total feature.

Issue #9 is in production right now... and the mysterious figure you see at the end of #8 will play a BIG role in it.

I need to update my entry.... I'm up to #8 and #9 is in production.

Question #8 - Inspirations

This one is a little primer about Inspirations... what they are, how they work, and where to get them.

Also there is someone lurking in this video... someone that the Captain knows all-too-well who will make a very dramatic appearance.

Nice. Good use of size adjustment.

Now... I suppose the REAL challenge would be to do a logo for the forthcoming Going Rogue.

Issue #7 - City Hall (Part 2)

With the Goo cleaned up, Captain Catastrophe can finally finish that tour of City Hall with a look at the five agencies located on the second floor.

Oh, and don't be quick to surf away at the credits... there's a little twist at the end.

The "official" video was okay. But it wasn't great. It was nice to see some of the anniversary activities such as the monsters appearing, as well as see War Witch and Positron and others having fun. BTW, Posi, a word of advice... that Bridal tux does not go well with your containment armor.

Dark Respite/Samuraiko/Michelle's video, on the other hand, was MUCH better. It helped celebrate the City of Heroes by going over some of the monumental events, including the ones that got us here.

A much better way to remember five years would have been something along the lines of this earlier video that DR made.

Now something like that combined with the festivities of the 5th Year Anniversary would have made it a GREAT video.
