Awwww don't be an upscale Swag, you're better than that baby. If I didn't mock some of this overt hypocrisy once in a while you'd have nowhere to ride.

Quote:Lol exactly. Wow. You guys are comedy gold. Predictibly defensive in a way that supports the point.Wow. In the time I took to post that, two other people chimed in to pretty much say the same thing?
Quote:Your statement might have actually held water if you didn't try to gloss over yellow's behavior as "Not all that bad" while trying to turn it back on not just the vocal members of WARE.gov, but the group as a whole.
I can only guess this is a last ditch effort to gain some footing back after the verbal thrashing you brought on yourself by taking shots at our guild portal site.
Saying "You mad" is something overused by this and I'm sure other online communities, but in this instance I think its hard to find a better sentiment. Your team lost some matches, so you start looking for other places to win something back, be it in aesthetics, art, a persons profession or whatever thread you have popped into following one of our members posts.
I regret to inform you, you won't find the win you were looking for in this thread. -
Mr. Liberty--
Tokyo's a troll that provokes people that still show some investment in cox pvp. At his worst, he bounces around rv ksing people. Or maybe supports Dahjee in defense of bad pvp mechanics.
Your wikipedia link is far more appropriate to your own sg. Denigrating write-ups of other people's performances in officials. Repeated harrassment of people for things as stupid as not practicing with you. Etc. It's pretty much summed up in your farm list and mission statement. Tokyo's not even close to being in the same league, and there's no group dynamic involved with him as far as I can tell.

15.
The room was vaguely blurry. Desaturated. The edges running slightly like an old photograph brought to life. There was an elderly woman face down on the floor, her neck at an odd angle. Broken glass and a dark stain beneath her body. One arm stretched out, pointing towards a metal tray that had fallen several inches away from her grasp. Past her, there was a man in a chair, his head thrown back, a gaping wound at his throat. Blood flowing down the front of his shirt. A bloody handprint on his right sleeve near the elbow.
Further in the background Tate spotted Mary in the doorway, looking back over her shoulder--the pale yellow eyes glowing. A vague expression on her face, as if caught mid-sentence. A darker figure was leading her out, pulling her by the hand, not really much more than a large shadow on the other side of the doorframe.
"Who were those people?"
The woman's eyes drifted vacantly for a moment. Her breath rattled in her chest as she gathered the wherewithall to speak. "Our neighbors. The Kleins. They were the first."
"The first people you killed after you changed?" She buried her face in her hands.
"Yes."
"Mary do you remember me?"
She peered up at him over the top of her fingertips.
"Yes...you led me to the church. It burned. I burned......" Her eyes darted around the room. "This is hell. I'm in hell aren't I? I'm here to rot for the things I've done."
She began to shrink again, turning back into a child. The schoolyard scene began to reform around them. Tate took her by the shoulders.
"Wait! Mary wait! Stay with me.....focus on me..please." She grimaced as the adult version of herself returned again in his grasp.
"I knew that man was bad. I knew it. I knew I shouldn't have gone with him, but...I just wanted... I just wanted to be..something. Even if it lead to this. I deserve this, just let me go."
Tate laughed and released her. "Mary I don't think this is hell. I think you're here because you are keeping yourself here. You've locked yourself in this moment of time. You've got to let go."
She threw her arms up. "But I've ruined it. I've ruined so many lives. Hurt people, killed them. Destroyed their lives!"
"Yes you did. It's done. It's over. There's no going back. You can't change it."
"Well then...what..what is there to do? What is this? Why are you here?"
"I'm here because I want you to leave. With me. I want us to go together."
"Where?" -
Quote:I believe the word you were looking to use was "relevance", not "relativity". Relativity generally relates to Einstein's physics. Special relativity suggests that objects cannot move faster than the speed of light. General relativity discusses gravity, the fabric of space-time, and predicts the existence of black holes (lol such as this thread):
Enlighten me.
-
Lol come on. "You lost your relativity", that's just funny to me. Lighten up.
Vinny I had exactly one duel on my ice/elec blaster. It was against Silit's kat/regen in the cage match and I won. Freeze ray>bringing all reds. Lol the good old days.
Sorry I ignored your art request in zone. Don't remember it, there's a lot of bc chatter going on all the time, I skim a lot of it. Last time I remember running into your rad you called me a "****" for chasing you into the base a couple times. I asked you why you you were so mad and you said you were never mad. But hey, didn't mean to hurt your feelings there bud. Try sending a tell next time you want something. -
I'm sorry Hot. That was inappropriate. You're too ignorant to be the butt of that joke lol.
-
Quote:His relativity has died Hot? Lol does that mean Katalyst is now able to move faster than the speed of light?Honestly, TheKatalyst's relativity died alongside his channel "Freedom PvP 2011". That channel, as well as every aspect of pvp, has been overrun by ware.gov. There is nothing left to discuss, battlewraithe and his close-minded followers (I haven't read this thread so I don't even know who's in this), give it up. Thanks.

Quote:I played against you last night jackass, go back to sleep.
Actually, you'd practice the best team (WARE) if you weren't an idiot; since they'd give you the most practice. Teams who actually just want to play, have fun, and improve are doing just that.
Quote:Do yourself a favor; get of Vince's dick. It's embarassing. -
Quote:Is he considered the best in the game? I have no idea.
Okay, which test teams did Spiner play for? I'm waiting for your knowledgeable insight; you would know better than I, being that you're from his home server. And since you've (obviously) played with him longer than I have, how long has he had experience on a PvP emp before he was considered to be the best in the game?
As far as test teams, he was in the first 10MoP and Blacklisted. I don't remember if he had been in HellRaisers when they were fighting on test. I don't know what he did subsequent to Blacklisted, I left the game for a while.
People who know him from Protector have always regarded him as a star player. If he was with the group, he elevated our performance as a whole. Unfortunately he had a lot of rl conflicts and wasn't around as much as we hoped. He's had a lot of experience in team pvp and has always excelled at whatever he decided to do. The assessment that he's relatively new to emping and OMG HE'S SO GOOD AT IT is silly. Of course he's good at it.
Quote:Yeah, my vision is skewed alright.
Quote:I could care less about your "critique", Slan. I like that you're still trying to convince everyone that you were wholly innocent and very constructive in your comments regarding Peril's work, but you went took a sarcastic attitude and tone from the get-go, which provoked my response. It was only after the fact that you conceded that the site "looked good", and that the logo was "a bit plain". But you're grasping on to what you said after in order to make yourself seem like the innocent party that was attacked by the big bad WAREwolf.
Quote:I'm waiting for you to provide examples as to how my characterizations are false, when in fact our mission statement is 100% accurate regarding who we are, and where we've come from. And being that you know so much about WARE's roster; I'm waiting for you to provide an accurate analysis about our test and live team experience, broken down player by player. Until that point, the only one making false characterizations is you. What a shock!
The mission statement, certainly misleading in the case of Spiner. But beyond that look at what it says concerning Spiner and Silit--scrappers from Protector. That's who they were. Are they playing scrappers in league matches? No? So there goes you're 100% accuracy crap. It's a false-self-deprecating joke, which is how it comes across. We gonna keep beating this dead horse? Again, torture the obvious. -
Daknah--
1. no
2. Lol, I set up that build about a month before the league started. I've never played a blaster on an arena team before this one so don't be haunted by whatever similarities may have occured to you. -
Quote:Yeah it's just too bad there's so much baggage that seems to go along with it. I keep waiting for a Ware-rant on somebody's cookie dough recipe because Vinnie once bumped into Wolfgang Puck at Costco and he thinks the person's horrible at pvp.
Just to be real, I'm gonna go ahead and point this out: When it comes right down to actually PvPing, the players on WARE are just as constructive as anyone else, if not more. In their selfish goal of getting practice for their own team, they are more than willing to offer advice and practice (and ringers) to other teams. -
Vinnie--
Lol right, Spiner just fell out of a tree last year and figured out how to team. And the rest hardly did anything! I'm rooting for you rusty little choo-choo! Let's hope this rag-tag band of out-of-the-loop nobodies can take it to the top! Just stop, sometimes I think you actually believe this tripe and it makes me a little sad.
Quote:Obviously you'll believe whatever you want. Nobody like to lose, especially by a wide margin. But if you are, for example, a lower tier team looking for practice and you have a selection of better teams to choose from--go with the ones that aren't pricks. That's my impression of how things are playing out for some people. Just saying. My **** talking didn't run teams off then, it doesn't run them off now. Large margin score differentials are the real problem that people have trouble confronting.
Things are much worse in other games? I wouldn't know, but western culture in general does have this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sportsmanship
Maybe you're vision of competition is a tad skewed.
Quote:This discussion doesn't even involve you, yet here you are. You're doing exactly what you crawled up my *** for doing in the other thread regarding Peril's banner and site layout. It's endearing, really. -
Quote:Yes it's a joke and it's completely disingenuous as usual. You really expect people to evaluate Spiner based on the scrapper he played years ago at the start of pvp, just to point to one example? Take the people on your team and make a tally of their involvement in pvp leagues, ladders, etc. and compare it to the other teams. It isn't hard to do. It's hilarious how you guys are railing on other people as horribly bad one moment, then painting yourselves as the rusty little team that could in the next breath lol. Please keep it up.
Do you think that's a joke? Silit and Spiner are Scrappers from Protector; Dex is the random sonic blaster from Freedom that got his start kickballing; Vex was/is a premiere griefer who got his start on Pinnacle; Liberty had more relevance running the ITF on Infinity until dUmb picked him up, and Peril is so old that Penance is his favorite PvP team. The claim that I have been and still am a Roleplayer isn't an inaccurate one; every time that I return to the game I normally do it to casually PvE and RP. I was an avid RPer (like Spec) before I was a PvPer.
As for the mocking--it's all there on your guildportal page. It's in the lulzy mission statement, the recap of the matches, etc. As for constantly asking for matches--lol you have to. A lot of the players involved would rather not waste their free time practicing with..well, I should specifically say people like you. I think you and a few others pretty much sour things for the rest of your team because you can't be civil, or even reasonable. It's understandable that people don't want to waste their free time on something like that.
Vinnie, please quit rap battling and whatever performance art it is you do and promptly become a lawyer. Your real talent is putting tortured spin on the obvious. -
Quote:I did at first but something about the formatting aliased the edges of the curves pretty badly.
Why not just make your new signature on a transparent background? Because with the dropped shadow on the main text cuts off and makes it look bad. -
Yeah that was kinda anti-climactic wasn't it?
But if you scroll up and down this page now, it goes Fap-Fap-Fap-Fap-Fap-Fap.
Quote:Reported for cuteness!Reported. -
Also wanted to people to know I do stuff besides pinups etc. The gallery is basically hobby stuff. I also can do more cutesy stuff like chibis and whatnot:

LOL he hit you more than me dude.

Quote:My work? Like these?
If your work is any indication, you have no place scrutinizing anything in that vein.
How much indication do you need? Are you blind? Tell me more about how I'm failing here.
You're right I don't know you--you've shown nothing but ignorance, bile, and a crappy attitude. But by all means enlighten me. Tell me specifically how to not fail at art. -
Syndace--
I get in one of these forum flaps every other month or so, it's kind of a petty vice. Usually over a fairly innocuos comment like the logo one. I had a good laugh over it believe me. I do agree with them that my sig is not great. I put it up a year or two ago and stopped looking at it. So i'm going to redo it and there is a positive aspect to all of this. -
Dexington--
Quote:I don't think anything in this thread matters in any significant way. My opinion is "legitimate" because it's based on training and work in the field. You remain in the dark here. There you go again, thinking your opinion matters. Thinking your criticism is "legitimate". -
Weak? What are you even doing here? You're not contributing anything substantive to which to respond. The points I made about doing design work are based in reality. ANYONE with experience in the visual arts learns how to take critique and understands that when you put work out there it is subject to critique. THEY WANT THAT so that they can get feedback on how to improve.
The last couple pages are people flaming me over a comment about a logo. I'm sorry but is just a little bit of objectivity too much to ask from you? However poorly it was received, I made my point. If you wanna keep nagging me about it hit me up in game or we can get on vent and hash it out. Otherwise move along, you're the only thing drawing me back to this. -
Quote:Yeah let's be real. I said the guildsite was very good. I said the logo was a bit plain. At least read the thread before you hop on, I thought you were more rational than that.
Oh and lets be real. You dissing WARE's guildportal is basically just you looking for SOMETHING you can beat them at...cause it sure as heck ain't PVP.
Don't like my stuff? Shrugs. It's not for everybody, but at least I can tell you how and why I've done things. -
Quote:You are out of your depth, you have no visual arts background. Performance art could be anything from juggling to a postmodern deconstruction of museum displays. It has nothing to do with my assessment of his logo. I did theatre for 12 years and was published. Didn't help me with Photoshop.
Please don't assume that I am so out of my depth in this discussion. I think it's interesting that you say that my calling you an "art snob" is a characterization of myself, yet here you are echoing the same dismissive tone. It's endearing, really.
Moreover, you can't seem to tolerate criticism of your friend's work regardless of the validity. You make a lot of silly assumptions and jump straight to an ad hom over a fairly trivial remark. As for whether comments on Peril's work were warranted, this is a public forum. If you guys really can't handle someone else's opinion on the site, don't boast about it here. I don't give a damn about how it looks but if someone says the other sites are too ugly I'm going to view it critically.
Quote:What I find laughable is your claim that you're a "working" artist. You're a stay-at-home Dad whose wife is the sole breadwinner of the house. Again, humble yourself. It wasn't one comment that you made, it's the tone that you take throughout the entire discussion. Maybe when you're in a position where Peril will need to go to you in order to take the next step towards advancing his art career will it be necessary for you to come off as such a hot-air filled twit. But I doubt that's ever going to happen.
Btw the Julliard comment was really cute. Lol "I've taken performance criticism from Professors at Juilliard." Fyi I took some performance criticism from Willem Dafoe back in the mid 90s. I'm expecting my movie career to take off any day now.
