  1. All of this is just speculation to help Tokyo rationalize to the forum-going pvpers why he won't join in organized pvp on Freedom, correct? It was great back in the day when everyone was there and you could dupe everything you needed. But with all the bugs and instances of the devs disrupting leagues, I don't sense there is any strong desire on the part of the community to go back there.

Yes I think your role as a spectator is well understood at this point.
  3. AresSupreme--

Yep that would be a good idea. Would also help make high end builds more achievable for casual players. Doubt it will happen.

Zone pvp in RV is pretty much like zone battles in other games I think. The whole point is that it's unstructured and constantly subject to change.

Also being outnumbered doesn't mean you have to get jumped. Zergs in RV will usually come in, push to the opposing base, and then sit there in a pile. Just go around them. Pick off stragglers elsewhere in the zone or target people in the mass that are afk or gone to sleep--cause sitting in a big huddle gets boring pretty quick.

The way it is worded they can play. So by the rules they can. If Kat wants to interpret them otherwise he would be cheating.
The lineup submission rule did not specify giving the exact builds of each AT. Someone got upset and complained to Kat and voila that rule was altered.

Same sort of deal here. There are rules regarding trades and drafts, but not about bailing on your team and being added to someone else's core. Kat addressing this oversight isn't cheating any more than in the case of the lineup submissions.
  5. Quote:
    So lemme get this straight.

    1. The little dogs (FAP) whimper at the Kat but don't get anything.
    2. *Two weeks pass*
    3. The big dogs (HB) bark loud and scare the Kat into putting a draft together.
    4. The little dogs whimpers again and asks to be #1 due to some beta male mentality ish.

    Weak.

Honey Badgers. Carrying shy people circa 2011.
This is even stupider than the sackriding nonsense you typically post. Lemme try:
    1. Xanatos freaks out because people are dropping from his team.
    2. Xanatos motions to absorb a team that hasn't disbanded.
    3. Xanatos calls for a draft, but doesn't get first pick.
    4. Someone explains the rules to Xanatos. A draft isn't neccessary if you add to your core.
    5. HB take two people form CC, which still has an official to participate in Sunday. Dickmove? I guess that's a matter of perspective.
    6. Exultant Xanatos makes big dog analogy. Overweight pug Hemmingway clarifies.

Gratz Big Dog. Next time just add to your core and don't yap so much about it. There are still people we are interested in drafting but we can wait until after Sunday.
  6. Is that how it's been done all along? The team that calls for the draft automatically gets first pick?
  7. I'm very glad you enjoyed it

This is a serious concern influencing this discussion? Really? My team just wants to have fun playing for the most part. If we thought we had a surefire thing to beat you, but somehow lost the opportunity due to another team ousting us...we would just challenge you to a non-league match. Anyone else could do the same.
  9. Quote:
This would, as you have already mentioned, allow whoever lost it to claim that "WARE didn't beat them" and thus claim a moral victory BattleWraith style.
Presumably every team would have played and lost to Ware by the time the playoffs even occured, so I don't see how anyone could logically make such a claim. If you're just looking to make some lame dig towards me, don't clog this thread with it. If you're genuinely acting as an errand boy for their concerns, make sure the captains settle any complaint about lineups so that we can avoid any further pissing and moaning down the line.

Surely, I'm beating the dead horse with this, but, even in matches where we've won 40-0, Klesk and Spiner were Emping their dicks off the whole time.

Stop making baseless assumptions, it really reflects poorly on your team. Obviously you don't care if you look like a flaming idiot, but at this point it's negatively reflecting on your team.
True story: The other day I got invited to a team in Rv. Then someone else got lead and kicked me---which happened to be you. There were a bunch of people on Mumble so I asked who you were. The answer I got was "some fat guy with red hair." Now I have no idea whether that's true. It really wouldn't matter to me if it was. But what was noteworthy about it was that nobody had anything to add to the description in either a positive or negative way. That was it.

I'm not concerned with how I reflect to strangers over the internet. Thanks for your concern but I don't think you should be worrying about it either, it's not a particularly healthy fixation.

    Silit--
Of course, Vinnie. That was definitely more his speed. Thank god i'm not Asian.

The biggest thing that got me was, if you were going to try and turtle? Why not use one of the rooms that tech lab offers. There are at least 2 or 3 spots in the room with the small set of stairs, and as far as Atlas went? If you guys would have taken the globe we'd have had a match on our hands, at least having to really work for that first kill.
Well while we were underprepared, I think we overthought things as well. We thought hiding in a room would've been expected and so we tried to take the group forward. Also going on the globe was a good idea but we really didn't think of Atlas at all when considering that lineup. We were debuffing and tping people constantly, it was just too disorderly to garner kills.

To be frank though, there's a lot of rage that we even had the audacity to bring that lineup. I think it brings back painful memories from previous leagues. Silit's initial writeup alluded to it:

    Quote:
All in all, it was certainly a successful night, because I think we proved to ourselves that Earth/Fires are indeed still viable against a disruption team in close quarters, and that we are more than capable of holding it together against "stalling" lineups... even while running scrappers.
My only hope is that this doesn't end up like the first Freedom League did - where at a certain point in the league, every team save for PoWT tried to run stalling/taunter based/gimmick lineups against us.
We welcome anyone to run anything against us, I guess, and we welcome people to keep hiding their lineups from us - because they'll do anything to beat us, unless it means actually outplaying us.
That sounded pretty defensive over a win. I guess it was too revealing because it was taken down and replaced with a short slur against me personally and the team, which is accused of not making a legitimate effort. Silit I haven't seen you that pissed off since I said the big gold ****** from 300 was an accurate depiction of ancient Persians. Grow up kids, damn. You won. We brought a few mms. We didn't slap your momma (though I could see less QQ over that tbh).
  14. Thanks to everyone that read this. Sorry that it was updated so intermittently.

The environment shifted yet again, objects breaking apart, floating through the air as glowing motes of dust. They hardened and flowed across the field of vision, rendering scenes from Tate's life. The two years that had passed since the encounter at the church. A car flew through the air towards them, only to be caught in a rising pillar of earth and redirected away from the civilians cowering on the pavement below. Robot and werewolves flailed as they sank into patches of quicksand. Garishly costumed supervillains lurched around in a drunken stupor as concussive particles stunned their senses.

Scenes of victory. Heroism. Yet as the tableau progressed, it became clear that Tate was somehow apart from the proceedings. Distant. People embraced him for his exploits, yet he never seemed to fit.

"It's like I was sleepwalking through my life." He turned and over his shoulder Mary could see herself. Tate was on the steps of the church. The grave dirt was moving towards the entryway. She was beckoning. Pleading for her existence. Showing him the cloth doll and trying to convince him not to destroy her.

"That was my defining moment. I had a choice. I had the option of sparing you."
"But you were right to do it. You did the right thing...."
"Yes. But that's just it. I've always done the right thing. I've always done what was expected. What people wanted me to do."

    He turned to face her.
"You made a choice. You wanted to be something. Right or wrong, you chose to become something. I've never wanted anything. I never wanted to be anything. I was changed and gifted with these powers." He looked at his hands, glowing with cold shimmering light. "But I do what I think should be done. I feel like a ghost in this body. Acting out a script that was given to me by someone else."

The scene dissolved again. Tate's image remained on the steps. Frozen in the time.

"For the first time in my life, I felt guilt. That I should've done something differently...not just gone with the flow. Not just done the right thing or the expected thing. I felt bad, but this guilt also...made me feel alive somehow. Like I was waking up from a dream. I realized that I can't keep floating along. I have a lot of time left. I can't keep going like this."

"But what does that have to do with me?" Mary lifted the doll in her hand. It glowed faintly in the space between them. "What's happening?"

"I believe we're connected somehow. We complement each other. It wasn't just a coincidence that we met the way we did."
"What does it matter? I wasted my life. It's over."
"No. I've made a pact. I'm trading mine in."
"What? You're giving up your life for me?"
"For both of us. We can start over. I'm giving up 500 years of existence for a new start."
"But what's going to happen to us?"

Everything faded. All the light in the world formed a doorway. A rectangle of blue light that seemed very small but at the same time immense. Size and proportion passed away. There was no color. No sound. Only the thought of what was taking place. The rest was as Tate pictured it in his mind.

"I don't know what will happen. We'll try again. We'll be different people. Will you come with me?"
    "I think I'd like that."
    She took his hand.
  16. LOL. Claps. Take a bow Tartuffe.

In all fairness, losing 8-0 on an MM inclusive lineup intended to be a direct counter to our lineup is a complete trainwreck.
Meh, slice it however you like Silit. As we already stated it wasn't practiced and the intended lineup didn't make it into the match. We had fun and definitely saw what worked and what needed to be changed.
  18. We were pleased with the results because we thought that that match might be a complete trainwreck and it wasn't, despite the fact that we hadn't practiced it and didn't have the actual lineup there. We ran the lineup the second time simply on the chance that we might get a favorable map, which didn't happen. Even at that the results were pretty much the same. C'est la vie.

Your team doesn't give acknowledgement or respect, that's pretty much a non issue.
Also "Tryhard Extaordinaire" Barrier wanted me to post this:

  19. Quote:
I can't say I blame you for playing a mastermind... If I were bad at pvp I would do the same.
Your general lack of sportsmanship distorts your perspective.

Ware has the best offensive lineup in the game atm. The stupid thing to do would be to try to run some variation of the same thing and try to outpace you. Not going to happen.

I hope some of the other teams took note of that match. We had a lineup planned to fight on that map. Two of the people we intended to use didn't show, and one of the mm builds we intended to use wasn't ready. We literally went with what we had. None of us are adept at playing mms and we didn't practice that lineup at all before the official.
Despite the overwhelming lulzyness of the proceedings we kept you to single digit scores both times we used the mms, even on the Atlas map which was horrible luck for us.

Moreover, we laughed our ***** off and had a good time so take your inexplicable bitterness elsewhere. Getting a simple gg from "the vocal members of Ware" is like getting blood form a stone. Who cares.
  20. Quote:
Why did you pop inspirations? You weren't targeted.
Lol I popped an orange at the start of each match which turned out to be a waste of inf.

Comedy gold. It's all in your quote.
  21. Just wanted to clear up some confusion. I received some concerned tells from people wondering why I wasn't in the matches. Later there were posts in arena chat:

[Arena] Midnight Hands: O like battle battlewraith who got benched the first 2 matches?[Arena] Giraffe Neck Hot: [Tell] @BattleWraith: they benched me

Hahaha I was just fooling you guys. I played all three. It was actually pretty anti-climactic. I popped 3 inspirations all night. GG!
  22. They announced their intention of simplifying the forums a while back. In addition to pvp they merged the fanart and the multi media sections. The actually wanted to collapse the archetype sections as well, into things like melee, ranged dmg, buffing, etc. but people raised hell about it.
  23. Quote:
You know something BattleWraith I'm getting sick and tired of your limitless personal attacks against my group, if you have any problem with anybody keep it to yourself or go through me.

If you're sick and tired stop reading these threads. I've made three points relating to Ware on the forums:
    1. The logo is too plain
    2. The current lineup doesn't really include scrappers from protector.
    3. The cyber-bully allegation more accurately describes your group than the anti-social zone troll.

The rest is responding to trolling and hissy fits. Sorry, get over it.
