  1. Looks great! Nice layout and expression.
  2. There are a broad range of styles the fall under the umbrella of anime. I can do anime if someone wants it and I believe Gill Bates has also done some anime-ish stuff. I'm sure there are others as well.

Besides going to every single servers threads and looking at Rifts thread is there a PvPEC roster people can look at to see who is doing what in the PvPEC? I think the recent workings of Rift have helped a lot, finally starting to communicate with the community will lay rest to so much hear say and speculation.

    [/ QUOTE ]

There were posts by ExL and others explaining why aspects of the event proposal/committee process are being withheld (basically because the proposal is/was pending Dev approval).
Beyond that, the majority of the hearsay and speculation was actively driven by people with an axe to grind, most notably Psypunk.

I appreciate Rift's efforts to squelch the hostility, but his success is really political in nature. Nothing much to do with the structure of the committee.

While you dont have to be a woman to represent women rights you do have to be knowledgeable in the matter. When I say the PvP leet it is just the best word I could think of. I agree that you dont have to be the best PvPer in the game but you do have to PvP to know what you are talking about. Coaches dont play the game but they have, and they study it inside and out.

Basically, the people involved in the committee have to be engaged in making this event happen. For whatever reason. That's the baseline. Beyond that, different committees have different requirements. If you're going to do education, yeah you need to know your stuff. If you're doing graphic design or writing a fictional backstory for the event...really, who gives a crap? I was hired by a publishing company once to do some animations of an aircraft flying over a landing strip. I can't fly a plane. I have no interest in flying. I was being paid for the use of my skillset, not my level of interest in climbing in the cockpit. It had no bearing on the success of the project.
  8. Hey guys,

    Here's a color update: NSFW

Still quite a bit to do but I'm hoping to wrap this up soon. To everyone that has been waiting on a piece from me: thank you for your patience!

    Vengeance

Vengeance is bugged. Despite being previously nerfed so that a player could (supposedly) only have one instance of vengeance on them at a time, it's still possible to stack the buffs. It's also possible to have someone enter into an arena match dead, so that you can get vengeance off of them immediately upon starting the match.
  10. LOL!

I've seen that episode so many times I could probably rattle the song off the top of my head. Guess I have some more reference material for DB.

    Thx a ton everyone!

  11. I don't have a background in comics layout, but I have studies film editing and I think it's a useful thing for visual artists to mull over as they are laying out a visual narrative.

This page has links to different aspects of film continuity, like the 180 degree rule. These are basically principles to keep your storyline and action flowing without disorienting the viewer. Food for thought at least.
  12. Hey Union Man,

Your drawing and inking skills kick [censored]. In terms of a visual narrative I have some comments/suggestions.

In the second panel, it shows the hellion swinging from right to left. In the first panel, he's shown with it cocked on the left hand side already, so the flow would make more sense visually if he was shown swinging the other way.

Third panel you got the hellion to the left doing a big reaction, although all that's happened in panel 2 is Rumblebee moving away. Something I'd like to see happening in that panel is Rumblebee shattering the bat with a knife hand or rising block as it's being swung down on him. Then the "oh crap" reaction would be more dynamic.

The hellions are pretty realistic to me in terms of physique...lean and sinewy rather than real body builder buff. Thus in superhero terms they don't look all that threatening. More like he's beating up juvenile delinquents rather than mystical gangbangers. Maybe have thug #2 jumping on his back in the last panel as he's KOing the bat wielder?

Anyway your stuff is great, looking forward to seeing more!
  13. That's very cool! Nice style and perspective. The character design is awesome too.
  14. Clicking on the image doesn't bring it up?
  15. Hey guys,
Here's an update. The elements details are almost finished before I start coloring: still NSFW

I also see someone took the time to 1 star my thread. Yay!
  16. Heya,
here's an update. It's extremely rough and there's a ton of detail left to put in, but composition-wise, I think I can proceed from here:

    2k mark contest

    Heya,

Well like others recently, I'm getting close to 2000 views on my Deviant art page. So the person who provides a screenshot of the 2000th view will get a free monochrome picture of their character to mark the event. GL peeps!
