"Explorer socializers power the wikis"
Now, that I found funny. -
And I remember FG just pounding the crap out of LR at the end and yelling this over and over again:

Let's see, where do I start...
The first group of regular teammates I ran through the Hollows with. They were some of the first people in my friends list and invited me to my first SG. Unfortunately, most of them disappeared a couple of weeks later when WoW launched and never returned.
Stepping out of the Hollows into Atlas on the last night of the first Halloween event and watching as a herd of three Eochai strolled by the gate.
Being shown how to find the Natural store in Skyway (before stores were marked on the map) and introduced to DOs by an Illusion/FF Controller named (I think) Illisha who just tossed me a bunch of influence and told me to go nuts.
Forming my own SG November 29, 2004. So many great moments that followed never would have happened without the SG.
Running with a bunch of co-workers that I talked into giving the game a try. We could put together full teams for TFs on a moment's notice without having to broadcast to fill spots.
The first time my Tank went toe to toe with the Kraken in Perez and fought him to a 15 minute stalemate (before the modern monster code).
Completing the Positron TF with my Blaster. This was before we were able to lower the difficulty by adjusting notoriety. The other seven members of the team insisted that it was simply impossible for us to finish about half way through the first mission and logged out. I earned my badge solo about 10 hours later.
Unwittingly stepping out of the warehouse on the Synapse Task Force at the exact same moment as a second Synapse team to find that two Babbages were waiting for us. Our two teams were a little confused at first, but quickly sorted it out and joined forces to take out the two monsters.
The sense of overwhelming space the first time I stepped inside Eden Spire.
Tanking Infernal's Portal
Celebrating my first 50, running around Galaxy City handing out chunks of influence to lowbie characters.
My first Hami raid with my Tank was awesome, of course. But that was nothing compared to turning a Hami raid from a complete wipe to a victory with my Dark Defender and one well-placed Howling Twilight.
Master of Statesman's Task Force. July 9, 2008.
I could keep going, but I'm already over 10. -
[ QUOTE ]
Most of the old villains are dead or missing.
The Storm Korps was defeated and only 5 members survived. They were found guilty of war crimes and presumably executed or sentenced to life imprisonment.
The same goes for the Imperial Wind. They refused to surrender after the atomic bomb was dropped and presumably had to be beaten into the ground. The leader of the Imperial Wind, The Lord of Frosts, escaped and went into hiding.
[/ QUOTE ]
Let's not forget our newly resurgent friends, the 5th Column and their leaders.
[ QUOTE ]
Before they were taken over by the Council, The Fifth Column stood as the last remaining threat from World War II, a group of super powered fascists still fighting a war the rest of the world left behind fifty years ago. The Fifth Column has the nefarious distinction of actually triggering the United States' involvement in the war against Nazi Germany. Hitler first sent the covert super team to Paragon City in 1939, tasked with spying on and sabotaging US shipping and naval development.
In 1941, as the navy's Atlantic Fleet mustered in Paragon Harbor with a convoy of supply vessels destined for England, the Fifth Column struck. The attack force destroyed dozens of ships and injured thousands before they withdrew into hiding. The Nazi spies spent the rest of the war wreaking havoc up and down the Eastern seaboard, fighting countless skirmishes with America's own heroes. Under the leadership of the ruthless and deadly Requiem, the Fifth Column killed hundreds and cost the US millions in war materials. In the closing months of the war they became desperate and careless, and heroes like The Statesman brought most of the covert cadre to justice.

The Bora wind, while significant isn't a Cardinal or Ordinal wind.
[/ QUOTE ]
Boreas, on the other hand, was apparently the Greek god of the north wind. -
[ QUOTE ]
did they even have songs (or fire)when you were born?
[/ QUOTE ]
Fire was discovered shortly after I was born. Cath predates the wheel, though. -
We ran it this weekend with four SG/coalition members and four pickups from TW. First run for a few, first run since the TF debuted on test for most. Finished in 59 minutes. Probably could have gone faster, but most of us weren't built for being sneaky.

I would like to limit myself to one "death" arc a year.
[/ QUOTE ]
I hear that relapses of death are not good for one's health. -

Can we get some info about the Zig?
Paragonwiki doesn't have much background and the original Prima guide just has two paragrpahs.
When it was built, prisoner population, how many guards, an example of the type of security they have, legends within the Zig among prisoners, who's the warden, how is it funded, why did they make it look like a zigguraut and anything else you'd care to reveal.
[/ QUOTE ]
You know what? Add all that extra info to my original question, too. -

Point me to a PvP-n00b event.
[/ QUOTE ]
That pretty much sums up my entire experience with PvP. -
I'm that conspiracy theorist nut that keeps trying to tell everyone the Illuminati exist, but no one listens.

[ QUOTE ]
Why are certain Rikti (namely Lord Hro'Dtohz, Dra'Gon and U'Kon Gr'ai) considerably bigger than their subordinates? Is there a lore-based explanation for this, or is it simply a design choice?
[/ QUOTE ]
They picked the Huge Rikti body at character creation. -

I agree with this sentiment. I just really want to see more content. TFs, raids, GMs, Events.
Whatever. Just more content. Scratch that. More content that is engaging and new. Again, especially for villains.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm sure "more content" and "more villain content" are also somewhere on the Things the Community Has Been Begging For list. I'm encouraged by the fact that they're starting to finally pay attention to that list. This gives me hope that we might see some new villain content in the (relatively) near future. And I'm not generally a very optimistic creature by nature.
Gotta start new programmers somewhere to bring them up to speed. Getting them familiar with the existing systems and underlying code (which they would need to do for any flavor of effects customization) before the really big stuff (i.e. Going Rogue) comes along isn't a bad idea.
Creative content always seems more difficult to me. It's not so bad if you can just make everything up as you go, but with an extensive existing story line, you have to take your time and be more careful.
I strongly suspect that they gave some new hires an assignment to go write some short arcs for new content. Part of the outcome of that effort was probably the AE system. (We already know it started as an effort to make the in-house development tools easier for everyone to work with.) Another big part of that effort was probably the two new I15 TFs. They don't seem like the normal, well-polished content we're used to seeing added to the game. They do strike me as something you might get if you asked someone new to the team and maybe not already intimately familiar with every nook and cranny of the story bible to go write new content. (It may be pure coincidence that they're each about the same length as an AE arc, but I suspect there's more at play there.)
There were a lot of valuable lessons to be taken away from player reactions to those new TFs. If all of them are absorbed and successfully incorporated the next time we see new content come down the pipes, we might start seeing some rather decent material. We'll just have to cross our fingers and hope that's what happens. -

I'm all for Power Customization. There's 2 things that I'm hoping against, though:
1) Issue 16 is ONLY Power Customization. - We really do need more content (Villains, holla!).
[/ QUOTE ]
Until I actually hear a statement from the devs that this is the only thing we'll be getting in I16, I'm not too worried about it. Even without that statement, I wouldn't worry about it until it got to open beta without any other additions.
[ QUOTE ]
2) Broad customization. - If it's just a goofy hue slider that encompasses the entire powerset, I will be okay with it. A lot of people will gripe, though.
[/ QUOTE ]
If the devs were really on top of their game on this one, they might have anticipated the griping that would come with just a simple change of hue for an entire powerset. If they weren't (and let's be honest, we've caught them by surprise with things like "Why can't I create custom AVs?" and "If I write this mission so that it only involves clicking on objectives, I can farm that set of AE badges in no time!"), then I would not even be remotely surprised to see a schedule slip similar to the one we saw with AE so that they can implement it "right" instead of "quickly".
Still, regardless of how much interest any one individual may or may not have in this particular feature, it's something the community as a whole has been begging for at least as long as I can remember. Given the amount of work that probably had to be done just to get us a "simple" change of hue for the entire powerset, it makes me happy to see they were working on this. -

Looks like this in a post:
<font class="small">Code:[/color]<hr /><pre>link</pre><hr />
The 13643631 comes from your post number.
You need the Number argument to find the thread at minimum. If that's all you put in the link it'll take people to the top of the thread. The Search parameter takes them directly to your post. -
How much farming in the arena did you have to do to get that last kid?
Congrats! -
Will there be more filling proliferation in this next issue? Can we expect to finally see dual glaze krullers or fruit summoning fritters?
-
Would you care to comment on the decision to take away a majority of the sprinkles that were introduced with Issue 14: Baker? Why not just change the requirements for the sprinkles to make them easier to obtain?
