I need some help on game play issues. I play on a Gateway laptop with Vista and a video card at bare basics. My problems are choppy movement, almost a stop-action movement. I had it pretty well fixed but now with the new update I`m outa wack again. I have been messing with things and getting mixed results. Does anybody know what effects movement the most? Another problem I have is bad lag in certain zones or maps, the game will crash when I get near certain buildings in Atlas and Founders Fall. I know my video card is probably the main issue but I`m not too computer savy. I have been told that I cant upgrade my card but will a external one do any good? I`m not looking for stupid answers like, "get a real computer", " go to a different game" or "just deal with it". I really enjoy the game but as it is I`m missing out on parts of COH and pretty much all of COV, so any real solutions would be of great help.

I got a problem that is driving me up the wall. I am using a gateway laptop with vista. In the past the game would run ok but it would freeze up on me when I would click and drag items such as enhancements. In Sept I had to re-boot my computer to factory settings and re-load the game. When I did this I started getting very choppy movement and could not get the settings back to what it was prior to re-downloading the game. I figured I was missing some update, but while the game play was choppy the game was no longer freezing up when I would click and drag. This past week I downloaded a ATI update and now I am back to no choppy movement but freezing up again on click and drag.

I think the devs are forced to atleast try to make restrictions because the players wont police themselves. You are always going to get certain players who will push it to and beyond the limits for personal gain whether its in-game rewards or outside cash rewards for game play. These players know that they are abusing the system no matter how they sugar coat it.

It seems to me all the problems and complaints with MA deals with those that abuse it for farming and Pling. Why cant the devs just monitor the game and crack down on the offenders? Trace the spams selling inf & PL to the game accounts. Get after not only those that create farm missions but also the team leaders who form and run the farm missions. If this is being abused by a small portion then get rid of them and not punish all who choses to use MA as it was attended to be used.

I believe the use of the terms "minority" and "majority" maybe be a little misleading. During gameplay there is more response from the "minority" side than there maybe in the forums. So where we may still be the "minority" , in gameplay we may be alot closer than what comes out in the forums.

Those who dont get lag dont know the problems with lag. I recieve lag on redside so i dont play there, I recieve lag in Cimerora so I avoid it. These are probably caused by my system and thus is my problem, but when I get lag in and around the AE buildings then that is the cause. This post was started for that reason only. It was not ment as a attack on AE or on other peoples views of it but to help reduce the lag that is caused by it. If everything is great for you then enjoy the game, but I am already missing out on game fun due to my system so why should I lose more due to game structure that can be adjusted.

I recently came across this quote from another post a few months ago:
When we created Mission Architect, the goal was to have an outlet for players to craft cool stories, using our assets, that other players could play and participate in. Other players could rate those stories and the best-of-the best would rise to the top
Some of you have taken the stance of how does powerlevelling hurt the game? and shouldnt I be able to play the game the way that I want? What we want to make clear is in order to keep the game fair, balanced, and challenging, we have to maintain a risk:reward ratio. This is a ratio weve spent years attempting to achieve. Mission Architect is not immune to this, and we are taking swift action to see that the problems players are seeing and are being exposed to are remedied.

I take it that your opinion means more than others because you`ve posted more?

I think if you make a good mission people will play it reguardless of exp, they just wont farm it which is what the changes are for. I`ve played good missions and enjoyed them and bad missions and quit them without noticing the amount of exp. then I played a hami farm for tons of exp. and was totally bored and havent returned to MA, so I welcome any changes to make it fun to play again, isnt that the whole idea to the game? This isnt a contest where the one who dies with the most 50s win.

What am I basing the game dying on? Playing the game. 6 months ago I could find a team on most of the servers through out the day. Now half the servers has very little action and the other servers are active mostly during peak hours. About 50 of my global friends have quit since the beginning of the year. Not to mention I just spent about a hour on 3 servers (Protector, Liberty, & Pinnacle) saw a total of 2 players and heard 0 broadcasts, that sounds kinda dead to me. As far as spreading AE out over the zones, whats wrong with that? Are players today too lazy to travel out of Atlas? The regular game content is based on moving from zone to zone, why should AE be treated differently? Dont get me wrong, Im not a AE hater. I like the idea and even tried making story arcs. The problems are the lag makes in un-bareable and its creating players who dont know how to get out of Atlas and dont know how to fight bad guys who fight back.

I think you all are missing the point, the game is dying and the devs need to make changes to improve the whole game content. Put a level restriction on AE per zone, make the players go out into the real world and improve those missions. This would lower the lag in Atlas and some AE buildings could be removed from some zones. Plus the devs need to crack down on players who do use AE to sell inf and power levels for cash
