I'd suggest taking that down, we're simply not ready for a funding campaign yet.

You've made a flexible funding campaign, so you could end up holding, say, $4602 of other people's money, when you haven't even made it clear where that money will go if NCSoft isn't willing to sell - either because there isn't enough money, or they refuse to negotiate.

I think not. The fact that someone on an internet forum said that it is difficult to get rights from companies is not the same thing as failing to secure those rights.

What we need is somebody to find out and tell us:

    * Who owns which rights regarding the game.
    * Which rights are necessary to run the game, or to release the code to the community.
    * Whether the owners of the rights are willing to sell them at any price.
    * If not, whether there are other options.
    * If so, what that price is.

Once we have that information we can talk about Kickstarters. It is definitely worth finding this out and getting as far as the Kickstarter, because it's the Kickstarter that will tell us whether the demand is there, not hemming and hawwing on the forums.
