    SMASH!

i think ive got a tale for this thread, on Zyst my db/wp brute whos pretty well slotted up i was helping with a misison vs some +2/3 nemesis (set for 6 people) on that shadowshard looking type of map, laying waste to allwe came accross, then we spotted what can only be descriped as a damn army up on a raised platform, somthing like 6 groups of 15 mobs + or somthign insane each, everyone wanted to be careful and pull, i wanted to test myself (evil grin) so on telling everyone not to follow i jumped into the middle of them all and let rip (while yelling death or glory awaits).

as the battle began, allw as going well then i aggroed the second group, no problem, ill pop SoW, all abck on track, half way through them (with them havign alot of vengences going off) i aggroed another group - time for demonic aura... all still going well.

thought im done for when these drop, but i was wrong, they dropped i kept fighting, and fighting, the bodys piling up and my blades spinning like mad i kept going, about 3/4 the way through the entiire mass now and SoW was up again, no need fo it now as i was on a role, and after another few minutes the last one fell.

end score was 100+ nemesis at once to me (non stop solo) nemesis on the other hand merely scored i think one team mate in the first few seconds who foolishly followed me in :P

was probably the greatest fight ive ever had in CoX and i couldnt stop laughing on vent at how the hell i managed to pull it off, got to love brutes sometimes =)

  2. give a pvp zone without travel powers - theres your fury bar, and the use of tanks actually tanking, and hell - itll even let db's use a combo or 2 and remove al the annoying and boring travel power zooming combat bs :P

but main downside as i see it for any db set in pvp is the lack of a build up for that nice big fat dmg boost for a few hits thats really needed - on a plus db wtfpwns pve lol
  3. what more advice could you possibly want ? run 1 or 2 misisons on 1 difficulty - if its easy - move it up - if its tough but fun stay there - if you get your butt handed to you drop it - it will also vary alot on your lvl and the type of mob your fighting - if youve played CoV alot - you should know how to work out how hard the game should be for you, just experiemnt - theres no set answer - bad players might struggle on heroic - while good ones will find invincible easy.
  4. same as khorak - i tun it on when i feel i need it - or hell - even if i just feel likeit, its not a long cooldown, and ill be using it along with tough (coming at 47) to nearly cap myself for smashing / lethal resists, and hell it onyl needs 1 extra slot so you have 2 resists in it - seeing as 2 slots soft caps the resists for anything (or defence - and regen really to) compared to needing 3 more slots for tough (2 end reduction / 2 resists) its pretty economical not to mention it makes you even stronger vs psi hehe so should be a popular secondry for pvp come the influx of psi blasters lol
  5. apart from pvp where DB cant make use of its combos and has no build up which ruins it saldy (unelss you get the odd organised slugfest)your left with a much bigger area of the game - the pve side - and its here that i find DB just anihilates stuff, sure it doesnt have the big numbers the other sets have - but the other sets dont land half as many hits, did some testing lkd to a mates bs/sr scrapper the other day vs some rikti, DB kileld the groups faster than he could - and quite surprisingly - i even killed a boss faster than he could - just cos db doesnt have the individual big numbers doesnt mean it doesnt have the important part - DPS - which it has in spades - jut dont try and solo EBs and AV's - it hurts unless you carry a perfect tray of insps lol (speakign form experience it takes demonic aura + SoW + a fair number of greens and oranges - well silver mantis did anyway)

  6. alternatively drop your travel powers you dont really need them, swift + hurdle + sprint is pretty fast bunny hopping or running about and you have plenty of hps to take any hits, if it take travel power at all on my db/wp it wont be til the 40's (well 41 for cj and and 44 for sj) even then im considering tough instead, only things im not taking in my build currently is the self res (taunt is coming at 47 mainly for just how sodding cool it looks lol - if youve not seen it have your daggers - sorry swords - out and do the tarzan emote seems to trigger it hehe) grabbing stamina helps loads more than a travel power i find - chaining vital strike and sweep back to back non stop rocks.

    Naming minions

thought id reply with this as i have such uber tough guy names for my robots.

the battle drones are Dizzy, Spoon and Twist.

the protector bots are Noodles and Chili.

And last but not least is the ever so evil Assault bot known to one and all as Fluffy.

(from this anyone that knows the bot names should know who this is =)
