Nothing has been confirmed yet, has it? Might be jumping the gun here.

Ok! Made a lot of updates! The only thing you mentioned that I haven't changed the the exit-by-door in mission 1. I'm still having troubles getting the mechanics there to work right and for the moment, that is the only setup that actually fits the story. :-/

Woot! Thanks a bunch for the feedback! I'll definitely make some changes soon.

Quote:I hear The Rock uses it.
[BMT of Champion]Carnal: is there anyway to reduce the "dandruff" feeling from Stone Melee?
[BMT of Champion]White Hot Flash: lather, rinse, repeat
[BMT of Champion]Tygs: the what?
[BMT of Champion]KoolKat5: Dandruff?
[BMT of Champion]Carnal: stone melee has all those flakes
[BMT of Champion]White Hot Flash: all the little f/x from the stones
[BMT of Champion]Carnal: debris
[BMT of Champion]KoolKat5: I don't see that, unless you mean all the stone chunks that fly out after bashing your enemy's head in with the mallet
[BMT of Champion]SCyberTaz: head and boulders shampoo? -

XKCD came out with a map of Online Communities based on social activity and, much to my surprise, CoH made an appearance! Albeit, a small one.
Where we are.
If you want to take a closer look, here is a Link to Bigger Version. Think it's a coincidence that we are located on the Gulf of Lag? Hmmm. -

Quote:I cannot think of the deep sea without shuddering at the nameless things that may at this very moment be crawling and floundering on its slimy bed, worshipping their ancient stone idols and carving their own detestable likenesses on submarine obelisks of water-soaked granite. I dream of a day when they may rise above the billows to drag down in their reeking talons the remnants of puny, war-exhausted mankind—of a day when the land shall sink, and the dark ocean floor shall ascend amidst universal pandemonium.

Quote:The customs were very well balanced. Like you said, I could take them in small groups but I definitely had to pop some insps when I took more than 4-5 of them.
How did you find the custom baddies? My personal verdict is out on them to a degree - I find them soloable in small groups, but they have a habit of "swarming" - and that Red Energy is a total <expletive> when you get a few of them throwing it at you all at once.
Did the Princesses creep you out at all? I tried my best to design them to give a suitable level of ICK-creepiness. I'm considering adding in a couple more archetypes to the mix, throwing a few more minions and leutenants. I am also considering creating an "Acolyte" boss for the Balth encounter.
Again, thank you for the review, I hope you liked the story. You didn't say much about that, so I'm hoping it was passable!

The princesses were really made buy the elec aura. It made their appearance pop out when you saw them.
The story was good, a little rough in parts, but I'm sure that will be smoothed out as you go back and tweak it. The only thing that really stuck out was how short the explanation of Red Energy was. Delving a little deeper into that concept would help out, I think. :-) -
Doctor Giest and the Scientific Method #111022
Becky's Revenge #60197
Out of the Gutters #68054
The History of Statesman #219484
I don't know if any of these are still functional, but they are the ones I remember being a lot of fun back in the day. Out of the Gutters was especially memorable because it had such an interesting take on becoming a villain. -
I've had quite a few ideas for arcs in Praet but I've been limited by the fact we don't have the praetorian pieces yet. Now that they are coming with i19 you will probably see a lot more based in Praetoria arcs.

Ok, gave it a play and here are my notes.
Mission One
-Flying negates Princess nastiness
-The electric aura about the princess help locate them on the map, good thing
-Typo in Empress bio ' The source of teh screaming'
-There are quite a lot of objectives here, almost seems too busy. Personally, I'd cut the princesses down to 3 and the allies down to 2 or 3 in number. This is up to you, ultimately as it's not a big deal either way.
Mission Two
-The map is a little large.
-Return dialog mentions 'Demon Lord' several times in succession. 'Demon' would have been sufficient for the last couple of times.
Mission Three
-Intro dialog says 'Rumor has it' two sentences in a row, sounds awkward.
-Balth should probably be 'defeat boss to complete' instead of 'complete entire encounter'
Overall
-The Reformers are very well done. It might work better if you spread them out between missions instead of having most of them in each mission.
-The 'Author's Note' probably isn't needed beyond the first mission
-No bios for junkyard minions
-No bios for junkyard lieutenants
-Might want to change the color/bold the text of mission title and subtitle just for a better look. -
Just a quick note from reading your post.
Having more than one ally really isn't needed with the designated helper system. So gathering two allies wouldn't really help because this sytem would make sure one of them stays out of the fight altogether. -
I wouldn't unpublish it, but to be fair, I'd be amazed to have 100+ plays. I'm happy with an arc that gets 8. :-P
I guess it would boil down to what you value more: The # of plays or remaking it into something better. -
I'd love some feedback on the arc I'm working on for the challenge, The Sinister Song - #454892. If you have the time. I know I'm pretty busy but I'm trying to get it shaped up. :-)

1. Are you male or female?
Male
2. What ATs do you mostly play, and for what reason(s)?
I don't really have a preference, but for the sake of research I'll say Dominators. Why? I love the ability to crowd control as well as do enough damage to solo effectively.
3. Redside, blueside, purpleside, or any combination of the above?
Mainly Blueside.
4. What are your favorite story arcs?
The Freakylympics is always a fun one. The clone arcs on redside are great as well because they give you some fun choices, like how many clones to fight and whether to save your double or not.
5. What makes you like this game?
Three things keep me coming back here. One is the creative tools this game offers you. The ability to design so many unique characters and even build your own missions is something no other MMO can offer. Secondly, is the community. I've never felt quite so welcome, engaged and encouraged then by the people I've met in this game. Thirdly, the flexibility of play time. Life can get kinda crazy around here and It's nice that I don't have to plan out 2 hours of gameplay just to get something done.
6. What other games do you play?
At the moment? Not much. Dabbling with Civilization 5 and modding the free steam game Alien Swarm when I feel the urge.
7. How long have you been playing?
69 months according to my badges. I actually started playing the month after the game was released, but I've taken several breaks from the game due to lack of money or just general life getting in the way.
8. How many alts do you have, what is the average level range, and how many are level 50?
Oh lord. Alts? Um, lets say 25ish? I kinda rotate though a lot. deleting ones who didn't turn out like I wanted and remaking old concepts. My average level range is probably about 35-40. I have 11 level 50's at the moment.
9. Do you bother with softcaps, set bonuses, and all that numerical stuff? What difficulty settings to you normally use?
Not much. I spent some time outfitting my namesake character but I still with general IO's mostly. Difficulty depends on who I'm playing. Most of my characters like the standard set since I like to take my time leveling.
(Good luck on your project! Hope you get a good grade!) -
Quote:I love that game! I haven't played in ages, sadly.Pingus have played pass the TO (training Origin) for a long time, and there are still occasionally random drops. The best to use is the level 1 you by in City Hall.
When you receive it, you cannot pass it to the person who gave it to you.
You are not supposed to delete it. (ruins the fun)
Passing it during combat is the best.
Pass the awaken is fun too. -

Alignment: Vigilante
Factions: Custom Groups, Snakes, Arachnos
Difficulty Level: Relatively Easy. No Elite Bosses or Arch Villains.
Estimated Time to Play: Can be done in half an hour.
Level: Set to 40-54

Synopsis: A hero who hasn't been heard of for the better part of a year has suddenly reappeared and is seeking someone whose brawn is equal to her brain. She claimed she has spent the lost time tracking down an elusive monster and now she needs you to help her capture it.
Author comments: This is for the 3rd Dr. Aeon's challenge. I'm trying very hard to make it understandable for the hero in question to fall from grace. I'm not sure I've quite got it, so I'd love some feedback and suggestions. -
Wow. I thought this type of drama was restricted to Pwnz and Champion server.
(Working on an arc.)
(Have no idea if I can get it ready by Oct 20.)
(Parentheses are cool.)
