  1. ((I'm in... just give me a day or so to work someone/thing out. Today was.... >.> Bad for me.))
  2. Arc Jump walked semi distractedly through the RFP base, a stack of reports in one hand while the other twirled a locke of her silvery hair as she read the top most report.

    For the electric generating reploid, the day just seemed... pointless. The nominal 'heroes' all slacked off to suck face and while crime was down, it wasn't really by much. She continuously ignored the little flutter in her generators upon each visitor to the base. As usual, she was annoyed at each one. Both for coming to see her more popular sister and for not being who she really wanted to see.

    Not that she hated Essex, she loved the tiny reploid as much as she understood the concept, but the shear amount of beings she associated with... she was very glad Freedom Corp didn't monitor base arrives, or else the Doc would be arrested and the reploids probably dismantled.

    Puffing a synthetic sigh, AJ elbowed the panel to open the door to her room and resigned herself to getting her armor out and picking up the slack.

    A splash of red in the mostly blue and white room drew her gaze to the rose on her desk. AJ spent several minutes staring at the plant and blinking, CPU maxed but no output forth coming. Finally, the 15 year old appearing girl tossed the papers on the far side of the desk and picked out her more... lighter clothes. The dark blue and gold vest and skirt to go over the more... abbreviated bodysuit she swindled out of the Doc.

    With a click that settled the gauntlets and shoulder pauldrons in place, AJ walked out. A final smile at the now make-shifted vase and rose.

    ...Eh, maybe it ain't too pointless after all....
  3. ((Shouldn't be a problem. Barring any AV level ambushes from work/home/other. Though this weekend might be bad. Double XP weekend and all. ))
  4. Tam tapped her toes on the floor idily while she looked at the board. She and Dousojin had missed the opening rounds while chatting about their girlfirends over a very large (well, her's was) lunch. She was embarassed that she made their opponets wait, but no sense crying over spiled milk and all that.

    In the yard, Cortianna smiled faintly as she heard the martial artists words. While Jason had forgotten about the round, she had decided their tactical meeting would be more benifical then charging into a fight without a plan.

    Ally looked up as Blightlord entered the room that had been assigend to them, offering nether explination nor appology for her absence. She, frankly, didn't feel like telling him her business.

    ((Ok, if you really want a 6EST time, then the weekdays are totally shot for me. At 6 Eastern it's only 1 for me and I'm still at work. Weekends are about the only time unless you want to move it to around 9 or 10 EST. Give me some advanced warning and I can remind Mike about it as well.))
  5. Tam looked over at Jack and grined widely.

    "Hey, what'er you doing here? Bah, never mind stupid question. Competing of course. Partner up with you huh?" She walked around the teen and slapped him roughly across the back. "Sounds great!"

    ((Team Speed
    Fighter One: Tam Khat - 32
    Fighter Two: Dousojin - 40))
  6. Ally's ear flickered and her eyes narrowed at the necromancer. She stalked up to him and positioned herself inches from his face.

    "Listen you postering man. We need a partner for this to even get to the first [censoered] round. I don't particularly care for you, but my magic senses tell me you have a more then passing skill. But if you think those three," She casually waved to the lich and the two Knights she had rammed past, "Are going to be enough, you are blind. I'm not foolish enough to think my strength can win over the others." She settled back, hands on her hips and tail lashing.

    "Look, I'm just proposing a temporary allience. Once we win we can figure out if we want to kill the other or not. Deal?"
  7. The King 'twins', both knocked back by the psychics telekinetics, shot the purple-haired girl a glare before meeting the others eyes.

    "In the arena kitty. I'll take great pleasure in crushing you." Ally growled before smoothing some of her fur and pointedly turning her back on Tam. She spotted Blightlord andarched a brow, recalling some of what they others had said. She shouldered by the Grave Knights with the subtlyty of an air raid siren. They were dead already, they probably would be able to feel any pain from the straight arming. "Hey! Bli.... something or another... Interested in having some actual talent in the arena?"

    Cortianna shock her head and turned toward Jason. She looked him up and down before allowing a slight smile to cross her face. "Mr. Collier. I do owe you for the help you gave me with the medications. I would like to help you."

    Tam glared at her other dimensional twin a moment more. "Feh." She thumbed at her nose before looking at the others, most of the people she didn't recognize, some in passing though. She irritibly tapped a foot rapidly, she needed someone to partner with, and it had to be someone who could keep up with her.

  8. Cortianna raised an eyebrow as she watched the girl jump off the crane. The hovering telepath was resting up after flying from an outpost by the secret sponsors of the Infiltrators. It took some convincing to let her 'offical' guardian to agree to let her come, indeed in the end it came down to Mike realizing he really couldn't keep her in the isles if he wanted.

    On another boat, Tamera King bounced lightly on the balls of her feet as the docks approched. She had hopped that she could've had Gwen come with her, but her grilfriend had commitments to help her school. Hefting her bag over her shoulder, the martial artist quickly judged the distence enough and lept from the deck for the docks and the people she saw.

    Landing with a thump, she gave everyone broad, somewhat cocky grin. "Meow babe's, what's shakin'?"

    The air behing Blightlord rippled, then burst in what appeared, at first glance, to be a Portal Corp gate. However, the gate was much smaller and gave the distinct appearence of not being as stable. Indeed, as soon as the figure cleared the threshhold, it collapsed.

    The second Tamera gave everyone a faintly condencending look before settling on Tam.

    "Great, I don't need to go looking for you after all. I can crush you here then take my pet back." Ally Khat sneered at her dimentional counterpart.

    "Gwen dosen't belong to you, you psycho [bleep!]." Tam Khat growled, settling into a low crouch in preperation to fight.

    "Enough, save it for the match." Cortianna telekinetically pushed both women away from eachother before settling to the ground and fading into general preception as she lowered her psionic cloak.

    ((Edit: Ok, images up. ))
  9. Same as above. If you need any of my girls they're yours.

  12. Tam chuckled softly at Essex. Her laugh a deep rumble in her throat.

    ----

    Cortianna nodded to the Commander's instruction and closed her eyes. To those unaware of the psychic plane, nothing happened, on the plane, however, was another story.

    A sphere of mental fire, orange with purple flecked tips, pulsed from her position, settling at a fifty yard radius. The manifastation faded slightly, but she had lit a beacon toward their area for anyone with the sight to see.

    And see someone did. The light probe didn't impinge before pulling back. Just long enough for both minds to identify the other.

    Kefetasura

    Opening her eyes, Cort looked at her companions. "It's done. I'll know if anything that thinks in higher terms then an insect comes within fifty yards. However, a strong psionic also found me. He didn't stay long or do anything... I don't believe he's allied to the Overmagus... but he's," Her, the teen hesitated. "Not familiar." A partial lie. She knew she had never felt that mind before, but the color of familiarity in their link was undenyable.

    But from where?

    A figure floated in seza a mile above the HellForge. It was the closest Cortianna could come to being alone. The oppressive heat drove smaller minds from the area so she only had to deal with the roar of the minds of few hundred workers and 'supervisors'.

    new load of coral for processing can't keep us working like dogs Scrapyard won't let this rest need a raise of I need to keep an eye on these some pet freak of Arachnos' been snooping around the Freakshow maniacs are moving in on the north side mail for someone named Cortianna what kind of joke

    Pale eyes snapped open and far below, a Cage guard found the letter he was about to shove into a burner ripped from his hand and launch straight into the air. The invitation opened before the psychic's eyes as she read it. A purple eyebrow arched as she read it.

    A wish is it? I want to know my past, and if I need to liquify the minds of these others... so be it.

    With a snapping of leather in the wind, Cortianna bagan making preperations.

    The Red Cap Hooligan giggled as he slashed with his knives, cutting deep and drawing lots of blood.

    "Damn it, that was a new pair of pants!" Tam shouted just before bringing the heel of the injured leg smashing onto his collerbone. Slumping over slightly, the Red Cap blinked through the spike of pain and was about to burrow into the ground to call a 'big brother' up to finish the job when Tam's foot connected solidly with his face, hurdling him backwards and into unconciousness.

    Grumbling as she fingered the tear in her pants, the wound underneith having long since closed, Tam gave the short creature a disgusted look before moving on. The caves the Caps were using to hide their 'collected' iron in was filled with junk besides iron, most of it worthless. But the iron cache was more then enough for her.

    "Hmm.... gate, gate, fence, car frame, lamp poast? How the blazes did they get that here?" Taking stock... the martial artist sighed. "I'm gunna need help with this." Flopping on a chest, she reached for her comm device to call up a hand or twelve when here amber eye caught a folded envelope with her name on it.

    "Bit out of the way for a mailman." She mussed unfolding the flyer. "Oh Sweet! A rumble! That'll be cool. Eh? A wish...?" Smiling, Tam shoved the flyer down her bodice and called up her friends.

    I wish my girlfriend's memory was restored.

    The Goldbricker's jibbering was annoying...

    Ally really didn't know what the idiotic male was so worked up about. He opened fire on her first, and damn did those sonic guns hurt her ears. One twitched spazmotically in remembered abuse. Thankfully, after bending the barrel into inoperitivity, the 'fight' became much more onesided. The Boomer's strength enhancing suit proving to not be a close match for her own mystically empowered muscles. He began pleading around the time she punched through his jetpack when he tried to run. That just pissed her off more, never start something unles you intend to see it through. That was her motto... sort of anyway.

    "Oh do shut up and face this with at least some dignity. Stupid male." She shook his leg, from almost a mile above the courtyard of Aeon City. "So... any remote reason I shouldn't let you go here?" The cat like woman smirked.

    The Boomer opened one of the small pouches on his bandolier, a feat that faintly impressed the Pretorian, concidering she had broken both of his arms earlier. A slightly crumplied peice of paper was offered to her on a badly shacking hand. Snatching it with one hand, she smoothed it open with her other, ignoring the doomed man's scream as he fell.

    "Hmm.... pathetic... Bunch of postering men intent on beating eachother senseless?" Ally tapped a clawed finger against her chin thoughtfully, "Still... one wish hmm...?"

    A dark grin slid across her features as she banked toward the ground.

    "I wish for my... pet's... return. Then I can focus on destroying the woman who stole her in the first place."
  14. "`Tchyo za ga`lima!"* Cobalt shouted. "Tammy?"

    "More or less. A bit less then more." Khat rasped

    Further words were aborted by Essex throwing her arms around her neck. She rumbled deeply while rubbing her chin on the girl's head in, what she hoped was reasurence.

    “Essex! Stay away from that thing! Who knows how dangerous it could be, it’s a feral metahuman!”

    The feral meta in question snarled at the doctors hasitlly retreating form, but said and did nothing. He was right, she was feral... she had almost clawed him when he ran toward her.

    To Experiments 'suggestion', she growled softly her tongue licking her muzzle absently. "Very tempting...." Laying down, Khat kept glitering amber eyes on as many of the rooms occupants as she could.
  15. ((Ack... sorry, ment to sign up but work kept distracting me. :/ Have parts of the intoductions.. ))
  16. Mearly feeling the Consumed's satisfaction was enough to galvinize Cortianna. She couldn't do anything to stop the draining however. So she did the next best thing.

    The air in front of her rippled as a wave of telekinetic energy flowed from her, filling the corridor and applying a steady backwards pressure on the massive form. All that remained to be seen was if her mental strength was enough to overcome the Comsumeds physical one.
  17. ((I'm pretty sure you're right. ))

    A hand closed over the front of Experiments own, smaller nubs of fingers lowered and a set of serrated claws extended to lightly [censored] the back of his hand. Khat's face filled John's vision as she lurched to her hind legs and glared into his eyes.

    The feralness from their first encounter on the rooftop had faded, but the viner was thin, and the rage danced under amber eyes.

    "Fighting eachother will only result in dead bodies and won't fix a thing. Sit down, shut up and focus on setting this crap back in order!" Khat growled at Experiment before turning her head, unknowning or uncaring that her mane slapped the man as she turned to Midas. "Same to you pencil neck. Argueing about who or what counts as real won't solve jack."

    Releasing Eperiment's hand, Khat thumped back on all fours and stalked away from the men.

    "What's with the big kitty?"

    Growling faintly, she looked to the hologram of Cobalt. A few fragments of possible memories drifted up as she looked at the girl.

    "Cobalt... Out of Montresor's in an unexpected way I see..." Her muzzle curved into a fanged smirk.

    -----

    Cortianna blinked at Rosie before turning to Bear with a sniff.

    "I'll stay out of your head when you learn to keep from yelling out every third thought that flashes across the three brain cells you have." She gave the archer a condencingly comforting smile. "But don't worry, unless they pose a threat to me or Rosie, I'll not reveal or act on any of your secrets. It's not my way."

    With that, the pryokinetic turned back to the path. Her mind marking each of her three companions and holding their thoughts above the jumble of primitive animal impulses that filled the wilds with a noise only she was hearing.
  18. Cortianna sighed, she didn't like the idea of the bowyer coming along, but Rosie had made her decision. She gave Bear a slight smile.

    "And I hate you, but don't feel special, I hate just about everyone equally. You're all to [censored] loud to me."

    Telekinetically grabbing several supplies the four of them would need, she tossed a bag to both men before shouldering her own and Rosie's.

    -----

    The feeling of air whiping across her light fur, the snapping of her jacket, and the wide eyed surprise of the Underboss as she landed right in front of him a second before giving him a taste of it with a powerfull crane kick...

    Relaxing outside the Trams. A pair of specially designed earphones pearched on her head and playing a selection of rock while she watched the various beauties hurry to the train for whatever reason.

    Her room light only by a few scented candles. Her heartrate, normally rather high, now pounding through her cheast as the other girl held her close.

    "Meow babes, what's shakin'?"

    Khat opened her eyes, not having even realized they had been closed.

    "So..." she rumbled, "That's the 'real' me, huh?"

    The beast cat looked down at her forepaws, an odd mix of short human fingers and powerful claws. She was very aware of the fact that she couldn't pass for near human to a blind man in a crowded room.

    "... Let's go," Khat sighed.
  19. Cortianna gasped as the Consumed flowed around her and tried to aborbe her. The feelings of the devouring triggered several things within her.

    NO! I will not be chained again!

    With a burst of psionically excited lights, the pyrokinetic let loose with a close range explosion of fire on her wouldbe attacker.

    ((Domination and Blaze in case it's not clear. ))

    AJ kept her eyes on her own, while she did tend to rush into things, she did have a plan. Nothing could handle continued voltage like hers without it starting to affect their own systems. Be they organic or mechanical, all she had to do was out last them.

    Firing off another active electrical drain, the reploid grabbed more of the Consumed's power. The problem with her stratagy, it was easier to say then to do. Those punches packed a lot of power!
  20. Cortianna gazed blankly at the Consumed that charged her. Right as he was about to grab her, the psychic's eyes flared and a wave of telekinetic energy flashed out, pushing him, and all others it came into near contact with back from the group.

    AJ followed the simple expedient of brawling with hers, leaping onto it with her electrified armor and high voltage feild crackling.
  21. ((Yeah, yeah, yeah... ))

    Even as Bear approached Rosiland, he felt a weight inside his skull, a weight firmly attached to the boring, washed out blue eyes of Cortianna.

    Now this Bear, if you even think about finished her off, I will shatter you mind and leave you a vegtable for the remaining two minutes of your life while I fry your body to ashes.

    Keep a very close eye on him as he worked, Cortianna also kept a much lighter and gentle touch on Rosie's mind.

    "She isn't going to live long if she doesn't get to a hospital NOW! Haul your sorry [censored]!"

    Cortianna gave the agent a hard blink before lifting Rosiland from him in a telekinetic grip. "You heard the... man." She told the rebal, "We need to get the Commander to a medic. Lead the, I'll keep an eye on our... guest."
  22. "Yeah, yeah. Keep telling me what to do and well see what you conducitivity is." AJ grumbled looking over her shoulder at her slimed back. "But zombie zapping sounds like a great idea."

    An sidetoss sent a ball of crackling energy into the horde, it was followed by a crackling AJ as she charged head long into the and began whailing with fist cloaked in lightning while a hovering ball spat bolts out from above her.

    Cortianna sighed as she flicked some of the slime off her, she had been distracted by the kid's psi-whining to through her shield up in time. Seeing the contained chaos that errupted there after, she arched an eyebrow and smirked.

    Too easy. She thought.

    Her eye's flashed and began glowing a pale blue as she reached out into the simple minds of the zombies and flipped their perceptions. They would attack eachother with the same furioucity they would their original targets, and see herself and, unfortunatly, everyone else with her, as their allies. For a little bit anyways, and there was always the more resiliant minds that wouldn't take her nudge.

    For those... she had other tools.
  23. With the sound of a winding down gear, the Tesla Duke fell over.

    "That's how it's done!" The silver and blue armored teenaged girl shouted at the fallen construct, giving it a solid kick for good measure.

    Arc Jump E-3-B, scoffed at the piles of Clockwork around her, her targeting algorythems already searching for more of the psudo-robots to pummel. A small flag in her system reminded her that it had been 30 hours since her last system down time. With a huff, AJ dismissed the notice again and shot for another cluster.

    Rounding a shattered building, she came faceplate to knee with the Babbage. A quick scan showed her alone with the monstorcity. Common sense would have been to fall back, assemble a team and return. However, AJ's vendetta against all clocks overclocked her aggression. With a growl, the Reploid ran toward it.

    A storm of lightning surrounded her as she felt a teleport take place. Emerging at full speed, she careened off a a brightly colored, metallic form, backfliping to try and regain her bearings.

    "Oh... it's you." She told Toy Dispenser.

    ~~~~~~
    It was amusing to watch the Circle mages scramble as their 'enslaved' behemoth demon ran rampant over them. All the while under her expert mental guidance. Cortianna had a half smile as she leaned against a tree in the cluster of islands the Circle had set up shop at in Nerva.
    It was a simple assignment, made all the more agreeible because it was well away from what passed as civilization on the Rouge Isles and the constant chatter of mental noise generated by the fools within.
    "Intruder!" A woman's voice cried as a succubus demon charged her from behind, the she-devil's own mental shields preventing Cortianna from sensing her.
    What followed was a dual of fire and minds. Unfortunatly, the draw of her concentration allowed her control of the Behemoth to wan and the beast to break free of it. Roaring in anger, it turned to the 17 year old and charged, the remaining members of the patrol following. Seeing her position become unacceptible, Cort triggered her emergency teleport to the Infiltrator's base.
    She knew what had happened the moment she materilized, gleening the information from the men, women and other such beings in the room. Setting her trenchcoat closed, Cortianna looked over at PStrom with a faint smile the boardered on a leer.
    "Fancy meeting you here Rachel."
  24. Seeing the robed mage, Tam crouched low and growled threateningly. The being didn't have the stink of the Orenbagians, but the beast girl had no particular love for any robed magic weilder.
    Claws flexed and dug into the ground as she prepaired to leap at the mage and releive his shoulders of the burden of his head.
    ----
    Cortianna nodded shifting the emergency pack they had stashed near the entry into the Halls.
    "I'm touched he thought we were worth such effort. Really, I might just cry here."
    Her mind was cautiously probing ahead. The odds of any of the Overmagus' troops getting here was slim in the extream, well, alive anyways, but the Halls had their own brand of danger.
    "Once we get out, it's undercover until we rendezvous with the Sector Beta squadron." she said. "Hopefully they won't think too hard about a girl walkin' her dog."
    The psychic smiled grimly. "If they do, I'll know about it and... correct them." A twinge in the psionic ether paused her. "Something's wrong ahead..."
