The Order of the Silver Hand (TOSH) was formed in City of Heroes within a few hours of CoH going retail. We have a very large player base(100+)with several thousand posts on our forums.
We're a five+ year old guild with experience in many different games.

Our average player is from 25-40 years of age, but we welcome mature players from 15 to 50. We are a "social" group and have over 50,000 posts on our various message boards.
We're organized and have a lot of guild events. We're made up of both hardcore AND casual players, so you'll always have someone around to group with regardless of if you're looking to PvP or PvE.
We play on the Justice server, and are seeking a few good men and women! We are likely to concentrate more over the next few weeks on villains, but we all have heroes as well, and will have a guild on both sides.
The Order of the Silver Hand has grown to transcend 14 MMORPG games. Currently we run guilds in CoH/CoV, Dark Age of Camelot, Final Fantasy XI, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, and Star Wars Galaxies. (We no longer run active guilds in Asheron's Call 1, Shadowbane, Asheron's Call 2, Horizons, EQ, or Anarchy Online though many of our players still play these games.) We are also looking forward to starting new guilds as new MMORPG games are marketed. Why look for a new guild and friends just because you change games? Join us and have old friends waiting for you if you decide to play something else.
In each game, The Order of the Silver Hand is a social guild offering friendship, information, and the benefit of our knowledge to all. Members enjoy the added benefits of companionship and being able to participate in guild hunts, quests, and other events. We foster a family-like brotherhood where you can rely on the other members to help, share knowledge, and encourage you along the way.
Of course... we also like to PvP (fair competition, not ganking) and watch the bodies hit the floor... but if that isn't your thing, that's fine as well!
If you are a mature-minded individual interested in joining our group, click on the link above to visit the Order of the Silver Hand's guild website. Come say "hello"!
While you're there, read the "State of the Guild Adress" on our general forums and you'll get a great idea what we're all about!
Thanks, and welcome to "The Hand."

they can basically kill most things even if those things can see them.

LOL! Now I KNOW you've never played a stalker. We can hardly kill ANYTHING if it sees us coming! Heck, the high majority of the time we get an AS off unseen we STILL have to run away or stand and die.
I am so tired of listening to people who have no idea in hell about playing a stalker complain because they died a few times. Do you know how hard it is for us to find someone like you who neglected to take any anti-stalker skills? A long time. Is it our fault you have a weakness and we use it?
Imagine you're a dominator, and 80% of everyone you try to hold/root/etc has break frees or resists so you can't land it in the 1st place.... welcome to our world.

Have you ever played a stalker in pvp?
No matter how many reds I eat, there's still a very real chance that I'm not going to kill in one hit, and will get my butt handed to me. I've lost to many AT's in one on one type fights, in truth, I'm absolutely positive I've lost more than I've won.

And yet, nothing resists Placate.

So untrue. There's skills that resist placate, just like ones that resist hold, fear, etc. There's also skills that make it literally impossible for us to get anywhere near a target.
Someone mentioned we have no holds. We have caltrops... but we're looking for trouble if we use it. It lets the enemy stop running and beat us to a pulp instead... because any well played AT that survives our AS can stand ground and take us out.
Silly thread.

In games I've seen in the past, 75% of someone's health was generally considered tops for rogue/assassin hit.
[/ QUOTE ]
If that was done, a stalker would NEVER win a fight against anyone...

Status Effects, Mez, Stun, etc. are NOT FUN. Understand?
[/ QUOTE ]
I couldn't DISAGREE more! PvP without crowd control skills/spells sucks. It does NOT take you out of the game... getting booted to your desktop does that. It adds a separate element to the game besides damage and healing.
Any good pvp game has a load of status skills, and it's the best players who build their characters to defend against it, as well as use it to your advantage. Without holds and roots, pvp is simply DPS, and THAT is B O R I N G. Who wants to play a game where the only two things you do in pvp are damage and heal?
Not I!
It brings a total package to a pvp game and gives it depth, as well as encourages teamwork and strategy!
