  1. Way cool 8-baller! Congrats to you and all the winners!

Sure was cool to see a clip form my movie on TV though! Wee! Got me all excited for a second there!
  2. So the party is going to be at Pocked D on the test server?
  3. The Return of the Revenge of Dr. Mechanico! Wow the voice acting in that was great!
  4. What! Star Dancer's video did not get selected? I am very surprised. It had a great comic flair and some of the best funny bits of any of the entries! I had pegged it personaly as one of the top 5. Actually there were quite a few good entries I felt were better than mine that were not selected either.
  5. Oh... they did not put a description with my entry for some reason. Darn!
  6. Wow! I made the final 5? Holy _____ Batman! I am so surprised by this. Cool!!!
  7. I thought the hero con thing was back in July? when is it again?
  8. Yay! They added all those movies! Cool! I am happy that mine will be displayed. I am off to watch all the new ones that just got added now.

I am also on Guardian, but I recently started there and my highest there is like level 10 or something. Look up Beta Cat if you get the time.
  9. I had never even heard of this site before this contest. Seems somewhat interesting. I went to their help threads but they are non ot helpful. The posts (by staff) go back to 2004 where they tell you things are jsut being set up.

Hmm my movie still seens to be compressing : ) and no response whatsoever from thier help system and notes I have left.

Still it was a fun project to make, and I got to meet a few of your cool film makers through this thread in the forums. Perhaps something will change today.
  10. I sure am hoping they get all these submited entries online sometime soon. Still no response back from any messages.

I got to get into this demo recording thing and figure out how to edit them. I guess that would be the next thing to learn how to do.
  11. I loved Cease and Desist! That was just so clever and fun! I have it saved on my hard drive somepalce. What was the name of the hero at the end of the movie? That made me laugh so hard!

Mine is still sitting there compresing... Anyhow I uploaded a version and sent the link to that with a note to those two addresses. I hope that helps a bit. Never got an answer back about the help messages I sent to the site though. Still I am grealy looking forward to seeing all the remaining movies online! Hopefully mine will appear there as well!
  12. That is a very good idea Dr! I had not thought of that.

I noticed PsychoPez was mentioning the lack of pans in a previous mesage and such. Looking back my movie has ... none of those! I knew I forget something!

My film is still sitting there with that compression message going on... I am going to try to upload it to tget general section thing to see if it will upload at all. I sent a not einto help on this site this morning, but have not gotten an answer back.

What I enjoyed most about the films was the variety of humor displayed in them. Each and every one that had humor has a different style of humor! They were all great and so far I found something I really liked in each one of them!
  13. I uploaded the revised version to YouTube. My voice is not so good today so it is not a perfect match for the voice I was attempting to do the other day, but it no longer mentions the Matrix or Toyota now.

On the other hand it is still processing on that web site. I hope this gets through.
  14. Ok I revised my entry not to mention the Toyota Matrix. Thank you agian Star_Dancer for pointing that out to me. I switched down to a lesser form of compression in hopes that it would re-compress correctly. The original upload is still compressing. If anyone has any ideas about how to achieve the correct settings from windows movie maker (which would work with the gametrailers site) I would love to know about it.

So was the raining dounut thing done with a model substitution? Like donuts instead of ice particles raining down? I was curious how that was achieved. It looked wonderful on the screen! Very memorable moment!
  15. Now I am all upset. I just spent a ton of time making this thing. You cant mention the product the contest is advertising? Oh... well the darn web site won't accept it anyhow. Like 15 hours later is still says compressing. I am still trying to re-send it. Unfortunately I don't have quite the options for exporting in Windows Movie Maker, but I tired to use the right settings. I read a lot of the discussion here but I must have missed that. I looked at the entered videos, but I thought most of them would be disqualified for violence. That seemd to be a key aspect of the rules as well. I must have missed that post somewhere in there about mentioning the contest sponsor. Hmm. Not sure if I could rework it or not. I may give it a try. Oh and I really loved your movie Star Dancer! It was a hoot!
  16. I too have uploaded my movie, I got that monor error and now it says that it is compressing.

I guess I can check in the morning and try to send it again. (well before noon anyhow) I sure hope it goes through Ok. This is my first movie that I have attempted to make in CoH and I think, despite only using one person to do the voice (what a silly idea that was) it turned out pretty good. I do wish the time limit would have been longer. Something like 6 or even 8 mintes would have made for a much better story. That and the violence clause! I had this great Ritki invasion thing filmed where the wedding party gets wiped out! Oh well. And I had to cut three other scenes because of time too.

I found making a movie in CoH was fun, but often when I was filming, or trying to film, bad guys someone would just come by and kill them all!

I got a whole bunch of rather demonic looking wedding crashers hanging out on the corner 'stripping' while we were trying to film.

I discovered that while there are tons of emotes in CoH the amount that deal with looking like your avatar is saying something is a bit lacking. It sure would be great to have more conversation emotes. This makes the videos I have been looking at recently before setting off to make this video all the more impressive.

At some point I may learn about this demo file thingie and how to make it work. But for this film I just went in world and filmed it live (so to speak) like I have done all my other movies in other worlds before.

Well to check how long it took I also sent it to YouTube. So its finished compressing there...

    I hope you like it!

  17. You are an absolute lifesaver Ashcraft! Thank you ever so much I found the setting under the Options and Keymapping section. Now I can hide all that junk!

I have not made anything in CoH yet but I am world famous in there.com!

    Check out my junk here!

  18. Say, does anyone kow a command or keybaord shortcut to hide the User Interface in CoH? I feel like shooting my entry in world live as it were. I have seen some entries with that but it looks funny in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
