  1. Tress' phone rings. She answers, "Yes?"
After a moment her face droops in frustration, "Oh course, he did. I'll be there shortly!"

She looks up apologetically, "My boyfriend was captured by the DE and they're threatening to kill him. I hate to dine and dash, but... well he's my boyfriend yanno."

Tress waves goodbye and takes flight, quickly gaining altitude and before long she was a distant blip in the sky.

((OOC: Sorry guys, but I'm having a hard time following the story, plus I've got work and other things that are taking far too much time. I can't keep up with it. Enjoy yourselves!))
  2. [ QUOTE ]
"So, any ideas on how to get out of this?" He [Kojuin] queried.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Tress grinned and went Kokuin's side, "Beat them till they stop moving?"
  3. Tress' altitude dropped slightly as she tried to hold onto Agent Techtro and he jostled and spasmed.
Tress glanced over at Kokuin when he called to her and looked down at Techtro still in her arms. The confidence from battle flew from her face and was replaced with a unsure worry.
She quickly dropped to the dirt covered ground, laying Techtro out.
"I'm not sure this'll work, sugah. I heal the external mostly." she murmurs to Agent Techtro.
She put a hand to his forehead, searching anything she could heal. She pushed a pulse of green energy, then two red energies (heal other, fortitude, clear mind), leaving his head glowing a faint pink.
She waited a moment, hoping that it would strengthen the man enough to come back to them.
  4. ((yeah she's grav/emp oh, Agent Techtro is unconscious, right? If not.... well she ignores him in favor of smacking another spider before hitting the air. ))

Tress whistled to her Singularity. Who came forth out of thin air next to her.
"Keep the entrance blocked after we leave." she commanded as she flew returned to Agent Techtro's side.
She looked around and spotted Professor IQ's recent scrimmage, she smiled and raised her arm. He glowed briefly as she healed the minor damage and quickly followed with a bright pink glow (fortitude).
"That's should help!" she shouted and returned her focus to Agent Techtro.
"C'mon, Sugah. You and are gotta date outside this ruin." she muttered picked him up with an effort.
She flew up, towards the exit.
  5. Tress' worried expressed turned into shock and then rapidly into a wide grin.
"Come get some you ugly bugs!" she shouts, arms lifting into the air.. she hesitates only a moment glancing at the mines covering the floor.
She lowers one arm and grins, a ratty threadbare couch goes flying from across the room sending one Tarantulas flying onto it's back, eight legs scratching at the air briefly before flipping back, raring for another go.
Tress laughs, "too bad, Charlotte!" arms lifted in a quick upward motion as if she was lifting a barbell and the Tarantula goes flying into the air.
  6. Tress immediately goes from smiles to a worried frown. She glances around to at the walls and quickly makes her way to Agent Techtro's side.
    "Singu," she mutters, "Check outside"
The energy being floats up out through the opening. Tress prodded the teenager, hoping for a reaction.
"I can't heal ya, if you're not awake to tell me whats wrong." she murmered.
  7. Tress blinked and the guffawed, "You and I are going to get along."

The Singularity behind her, jostled in an imitation of laughter.
  8. ((I beg people to use other character's names, so that we know who is talking to who. Also, I request the the two tech named people use the full name (or the portion of the name w/o 'Tech'). Sorry for the inconvenience, but it would make things less confusing. ))

Tress grinned, "Hell's Kitchen? I was under the impression that beating and bruising some baddies was on the menu, but it seems ya'll are more inclined to play games and wait."

She glanced at Kokuin, "Though, with Junior here we may want to get a kid's plate." She winked at him, to emphasis the joke and not malice.
  9. Tress watched Koukin circle the room and Tech finish up mining the room. A smile spread across her face, like someone watching children play.
"Well, everyone looks like the just ate my momma's egg salad...pasty and ready to go to bed.." Tress said bluntly.
She looked around the room, hovering her tiny feathered wings flapping gently.
She glanced at Kokuin seeing him shiver, "If you're cold, maybe you should lay off the misting, honey."
The Singularity bobbed in placed and Tress glanced back at it, she shrugged, "I don't know why their acting like death warmed over" she paused and frowned, "be nice, I'm sure there is a reason"
Tress looked to the room at large expectantly, "There is a reason we're here right?"
  10. Tress grinned when Techtro bowed to her Singularity returned the bow to him, albeit informally and obviously unpracticed. She glanced at the ball of light and snorted in amusement, but quickly returned her focus on the group at large.
"I'm Tress of the Twilight Vanguard," she gestures a thumb towards the ball of light, "That's Singu, of....something or another..."
She pauses in her introductions, noticing that Techtro has begun pulling stuff out of a pouch, "And that's some random stuff... What are you doing, sugah?"

((I would like to nominate one of my villains, but I'm not sure how that works in context with the heroes. Just have them show up, or does the author of the thread and the villain player have a private message chat?
Villain: Kaminaga ninja/dark mm. Older asian woman, with a black wrap around her eyes and dressed in fading reds. Upon closer inspection one would notice that her hands are claw like with her left arm missing chunks.
Police profile: Consider armed and dangerous, uses deadly force . Those who have lived to talk about her say her minions respond to her without vocal prompting, it has been suggested she cannot speak. Has known associations with Arachnos))
  11. Tress flew at top speed searching the dusty, cracked landscape for this base. A ball of energy trailed her doggedly, buzzing past trees as if they weren't there.
"Yes, I know we're late..." she muttered towards the ball of twisting light.
She continued to fly, dipping into the canyons glancing around for any hint of where the base was located. She turned sharply to look at the energy flowing her.
"What do you mean you spotted it half a mile back?!" she asked, "Singu, I swear if you weren't nonphysical I would smack you..."
She huffed climbing into the air and out of the ravine, "Yes, I know it's not a word..."

    **
From the opening in the roof of the base, a light shines in and there is a tapping noise at the concrete.
"Knock, Knock.. Am I late?" the voice is friendly and tinged with southern drawl.
A woman with green skin and blue/purple hair peers in overshadowed by the bright yellow singularity hovering over her shoulder.

((forgive my lateness, I just discovered this thread and thought ya'll might not mind another person. ))
  12. Tress is mine. (Gravity/Empathy controller on Triumph.)

When I started the game, I had played a couple controllers and really disliked the archetype. Too squishy, too little defense, too much aggro... the list went on. After hearing that a friend of mine gush on about her controller, I decided to give the controllers one more try. I intend to be an alternate that I played upon occasion.
She was green with a hot biker chick vibe going. I soloed till about level thirteen and join a pick up group in fault that needed someone that could heal and was willing to sidekick me up. I ended spending every night for about a week with that group leveling her to twenty or so. It was with her that I discovered the joys (and frustrations) with teaming.
It was with her that I wasted all of my influence creating new costumes in each slot over and over trying to discover her identity.
Before I knew it she was my primary and I hadn't played my original primary in weeks -->months.
At level thirty I finally created her backstory (grew up in the Hollows, because her father thought it was great real estate). She has a real joy in bludgeoning the bad guys into unconsciousness and talking to her Singularity as if it can speak back. I have just reached level forty-two with her. I hope to have her at level fifty soon.

My seconded Breakout character is Kaminaga a Ninja/Dark mastermind on Liberty.
I created her for two reasons, to try out the mastermind archetype and to pad out my friend's supergroup. I created her image: Older woman with the eyewrap, monstrous/zombified hand and the formal robe plus tucked in pants.
She was the first character I got to level 20 and she has become the equivalent of second in command in that supergroup that I joined only as a place filler.
