  1. Thanks for the response. I'm pretty positive I checked that, but might not have I suppose, though I'm certainly aware of it. It's still odd that it asked me and did it's own thing anyhow. Then again it's not really an issue either way, as I was able to fix it without a ton of effort.
  2. I recently put together a new computer, and am using a SSD as my boot drive (we'll call this C, I deserve points for originality here). Wanting to run CoH on my shiny new computer, I decided that it would go on my second drive, a perfectly capable HDD. As you might expect, I selected the drive (affectionately labeled D,) for the launcher and then the game. So, one might expect these items to go onto the D drive. One might also be wrong.

The NCsoft did install correctly to the D drive, but insists on both downloading the tmp file and then installing CoH C drive. It seems it even went out of its way to create a new directory on the C drive for this. I assumed at first that this was my own fault, as I hadn't payed close enough attention the first time, obviously. So I attempted a fresh install and made sure that I directed it to the D drive. No luck.

This was easily enough fixed in the registry editor HKCU\Software\cryptic\COH and manually changing the path of the installation directory file.

My question is this: Is there a simple non regedit way to get the game to install where I want it to? It seems silly to me that it even asks if it's going to install where it wants. Or is this somehow a completely specific case?
