Psypunk keeps evading the truth like an SR in elude.
Wake up. That forfeit rule DOES NOT APPLY to the round robin stage.
This thread has reach historic comical magnitude though. I'm dying to see you or another JAL come back and post again how ESK forfeited all over again. -
[ QUOTE ]
HAHAHAHA...come back hours and hours later and the same people are still bellyaching, lol.
ESK did show up and our match did commence. They forfeited.
Now you can argue apples and I can argue oranges all [censored] day, but the fact of the matter is, it's over so stop crying about it.
You say we didn't have a match with ESK, I say we did and they forfeited. Guess what? It's over, continuing to cry about it and to throw a tantrum does nothing.
As far as the personal attacks against me, I've played against Velocity, FOL, OS, etc. and guess what? We won every match, so um, yeah....

[/ QUOTE ]
won every match? funny.........JAL has never beaten FoL in anything that counted. I'm glad to see see you count a few practice rounds vs our B squad as wins.
Its all good. We'll be meeting anyway.
BTW...I'm still waiting to hear TGIA's ruling in this. -
[ QUOTE ]
Our record is 5-1 since ESK forfeited their match. I'm sorry that some of you once again want to bust on JAL, but the bottom line is that they agreed to a fight and then left after the match was listed. JAL was there all 6 hours of the open fight times and we tried very hard to get matches against every group. Does anyone REALLY FEEL that we should take a loss in that situation when we were ready and prepared? I give ESK a ton of credit, but does anyone really doubt what the outcome of that match would've been anyway? TGIA did make the call because that set of circumstances was not discussed beforehand. He made a decision based on what he felt was most fair and I would've supported the exact same decision for FoL, OS, Velocity, or any other group in that same set of circumstances.
Another point of contention seems to be that our margin of victory was higher and it was CLEARLY laid out in the TGIA's first post to anyone that took the time to read and prepare that this was a method of dealing with ties. None of these things should be any shock to any of you.
I cut it out for you guys to all read again:
[ QUOTE ]
Initial ranking will be based first on win to loss ratio. Ties will be decided by who has beat whom. In an instance where that does not rectify the problem it will be based on margin of victory, and then on over all victories if mov still does not satisfy the problem.
[/ QUOTE ]
LOL drama... I look forward to the fights. If you guys didn't read that first and fight accordingly, that is not anyone's problem but your own.
Personally, I don't care at all where we start with all your drama, crap, and accusations. Would you just prefer JAL leave the game and have one less group to fight? Everyone seems intent on chasing people off that have success and work hard. I'm sure you'd rather there be even fewer people in the competitive PvP world. Hasn't that happened enough already?
Put us on the bottom rung if it's that big of a deal... we just want to fight matches and do the best we can.
[/ QUOTE ]
You keep insisting about forfeits rules that do NOT apply to the round robin, as previously stated by TGIA himself. -
[ QUOTE ]
Will you nerds give it a rest? lol
Who the hell cares? FOL has two matches coming up against OS and JAL, that is the point of the ladder.
The ESK and JAL match was listed and agreed upon and many of you were online and commenting in the Arena chat channel at the time. This is not a situation where we had no contact with them and they had no contact with us. A match was agreed upon and listed...hence, an official match was conducted between ESK and JAL and it resulted in a win for JAL due to forfeiture.
There are no shenanigans going on here and "if" JAL had actually won the match with ESK by competition instead of forfeiture, the percentage of our "margin of victory" would've been even higher, thereby further cementing our place in the number one ranking! lol
"If" ESK had not agreed to a match and a match was not officially listed, then TGIA's rules would've applied. That is not the case.
Less bellyaching and more matches...all I read on these forums from a particular SG is bellyaching and excuses for losing like "boohoo, we're being spawn camped and that's why we lose", lol.
Sorry you didn't like the outcome of the tourney, my heart breaks for you. Now, dry it up, and we'll see FOL a week from Tuesday.

ok...a few things here.
1- We beat you, so we don't need to make any excuses about losing. If you ended being awarded the top spot for running up scores vs new groups doesn't take away that we beat you in the head to head.
2-The forfeiture clause is for matches AFTER the initial round robin was done. TGIA had explicitly stated that if you didnt fight a group during the 2 designated dates (Sunday and Wednesday) that both teams would be assigned a loss. The round robin was to be considered separate from the ladder, and rules were stated very clearly for each one.
3- Its not JAL, nor FoL that should had finished ranked first. OS was 5-1 same as us, and they had a bigger score differential than us, thus OS should had been awarded the top rank.
I'm sorry if going by the rules sounds like bellyaching to you, but it is what it is, and not matter how much you try to paint it as like you don't care, the fact of the matter is that you do care enough to go making glorious postings on the news section in your website frontpage.
I have a lot of respect for your group, and I have no doubt that JAL is one of the top groups in the game. As such, it is in YOUR best interest to win that top spot by your own merits, rather than fishing for a cheesy technicallity that doesn't even apply.
We'll still pursue the matches and earn our spot on the field.
See ya then.............that is, if you actually get to play on the lineup. -
This is going to be a first, but I actually agree with Groebuck.
The world is coming to an end. -

I fail to see in those screenies where ESK agrees to a match, and a time is set, unless you're referring to "kk" as a binding agreement, in which case I guess we should include "kk" in the glossary of the ladder rules. -
[ QUOTE ]
TGIA had told us that since a match was agreed upon in arena chat (somebody has it on screen shot, not sure who) and they failed to show up, that it would be counted as a forfeit for them.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd like to see that screen shot then.
In the ladder rules posted above you'll find
"The first round of an official match must begin within 15 minutes of the designated start time. If the match is not started within this time frame, it is an automatic forfeit of that match by the team that is not prepared. If another 15 minutes pass and the delaying team is still not ready, the prepared team takes the win."
Did they agree to a match, and a designated start time discussed? -
Yes, they should be 4-1, not 4-2 and not 5-1.
-
We need a ruling from TGIA about this. I also was under the impression that all 3 teams were 5-1.
-
hehe it does sound like that, although I'm sure he probably doesn't mean that.
-
Could we had run up the scores vs those groups? yes, but I am standing by with our decision not to use the starting team vs any of the new groups (SW and ESK), even if it meant us ending in 3rd place due to the tie breaker score differential rule.
I am not going to pass judgement on what other groups do, so as far as I'm concerned, this is a non issue.
Besides, it'll be more fun to work our way up the ranks. -
[ QUOTE ]
For the time being make challenges here in this thread. On Monday I will get a better means of challenging, but atm Im going to be out of town this weekend. Have a great weekend and good job to everyone who has joined the ladder so far.
[/ QUOTE ]
FoL issues challenges to both OS and JAL in that order.
That is all for now.

Updating our roster as well. -
Out of those 3 I'd pick Infinity. I still love Liberty as well.

Here's the initial Freaks Heroes roster.
This is my active roster global list. I have an inactive roster member list from where I may add some more in the future should some of them reactivate their accnts. There are a few that I know are accurate on live server, but haven't verified that they are the same on test. I'll update the list as new info becomes available.

There is already a global channel on test with quite a lot of the ladder members in it.

I accepted a challenge from Ownage's ice/EM tank to my ice/cold corr.
I knew I had 0 chance of winning that, yet I stayed the full 10 minutes, even after the first death. I manage to keep it at 0-3, which was a moral victory by itself.
I wont turn down challenges based on AT rock, paper, scissor, however I do understand the need to limit constant, repeated challenges of matches of this type where you have no chance whatsoever. -
You're not the only member there (unless you joined the wrong one). There's quite a few of us on "The Ladder". (many are on perma hide)
-
Exactly........I could play the same game and avoid MM''s and ice tanks with my cold since there isn't much I can do vs those, but that's about as lame as it gets.
