Though this isn't actually COH based, it IS what I've been working on for the last 2 weeks solid (SOLID). It's a fan fiction mashup based on the intersections of the games FEAR, Portal and Half Life.

Extensive online research, replays of most of the games involved, and consultations with others on the Steam and FEARfans forums for extra characters, and hundreds of dives into my thesaurus and dictionary... and I get: Repurposed.

That's the first chapter - right now, all you need to do is scroll into my gallery to see the rest (there are a lot, it's at 120 pages of just story thus far).

It's an AU for all three settings (two, if you count Portal and HL as one universe, which p2 will seek to distance apparently, but hey whatever) and if you've played all three, you will easily recognize many, many bits. They are however *my take*, and are also *not my take on the actual game universes*. So, what may be up in the air in terms of the games themselves, I've just gone ahead and invented.

I am having a *tremendously* fun time writing this, and I would love, love love to see what anyone here thinks. Even if you haven't played the games, you SHOULD be able to follow it reasonably well, I would HOPE, because that's like, the whole point of trying to be a good writer, eh? If you HAVE played the games, you'll see where I deviate or outright stomp all over the originals.

I will also be making a PDF version of the whole thing available, actually LiaCraft on the SPUF forum already has one put together but this will be my official version.

I'm gonna *try* and not just be writing by then, I apologize for my lack of appearances in game recently but I've been working on my fanfic and can't seem to get my brain to stop telling my hands what to type.

I am still in game, but...

I'm also writing like crazy, and often enough notice that it's like 2 in the morning by the time I'm done.

Generally we do the hero side one.

I'm up for it, on my 35 brute. I'll be there, if there are others let's do this thing, if not, meh no biggie this time. I've got writing I'm obsessing over just now, so it'll be okay if there's not enough interest. I don't think I've ever done a Numi. Though I do have a similarly leveled villain, and I've *never, ever* done any strike forces on him.

I haven't had to ignore a gold spammer in ages - I have ONCE recently, and before that, pretty much 9 or 10 months since the last time I even SAW one. I play Protector. *shrug* I don't see the need. Your global ignore list can safely be purged of most of the names on it every couple weeks, if you're really that set on ignoring spammers. Most of them will get banned and that will be the very end of them, so.. ignore and delete, doesn't matter.

If you don't want to see them at all, don't play on the busiest server...

First time in ages I've been able to get streaming radio AND be on COH at the same time. I enjoyed myself tremendously, I was busy drawing some things and doing a little writing too but the chat and the songs were terrific.

We had a pretty decent turnout.


Sometimes we had sparklies, very nice for a disco effect.










When we got synched up, it was very, very fun.

Defenders have always been self-sufficient, but slow. I know, my first 50 was an emp/dark defender.


I would suggest just examine whether you want to play up close and personal, or farther back... Controllers rule the school for range, and reasonably quick leveling. Brutes have become my favorite melee and basically are on 'easy mode' for their first dozen or so levels anyway. After that slotting becomes extremely important to Brutes.

But any AT is soloable and fun, try a bunch.

Well remember when the Halloween costume drops would leave certain parts of our characters appearance through them? Probably the same thing, might have something to do with the switch from Belts to Tail slot too.

I'd add the shirt to my ever-growing collection of City of Heroes/Villains products... o.o And wear it. With pride.

All this is why my level 19 Loyalist is parked in Praetoria waiting for further levels of content. I won't want to remove her from that section of the game. She's a future incarnation of my main, who has been heroic as well as villainous and is now bored out of her mind. She finally finds a dimension with a Cole that she actually *respects* (remember she's not terribly sane after living so many lifetimes worth of years) and certainly won't give up her loyalty easily. Or at all. There's something to be said for throwing in with *the winners* of history... Emperor's Adul8r just won't work anywhere but by Cole's side.

And it was an Aion GM that I got my mail from, so they must be having this issue very, very pervasively.

Hm, well add me to the list of frustrated long-time customers. My question isn't one of those listed on the first post... I thought I knew the answer, but obviously not - because that was 7 freaking years ago.

At least I managed to rescue my emails and confirmations from an email address that was CLOSED since I don't even have the ISP any more, so I actually do have their communication but... Really NC? Really?

I don't have a long-distance carrier on my phone, so I can't even really call them. Plus, central standard means I'm 5 minutes out of their window by the time I realized I could even call.

My account expires in like 5 days? I *DON'T EVEN KNOW* because it WILL NOT TELL ME... Since I can't you know, LOG IN to find out OR give the timecard I bought to put on it.

Please Avatea and other mods? TELL NC that this was a BAD, BAD THING. They have royally screwed up, to players who have been with them from the START of this game. That's NOT a good way to thank us.

My email question has been sent and I have a confirmation for it, but I'm not going to hold my breath on a friday afternoon to get this resolved before my account lapses.

I didn't even think the NC launcher *worked* with COH. o.o
