Quote:The Hess TF was a MASSIVE success! I only died twice!4 Teams in all tonight.
Katie TF lead by Myr Success
Hess TF lead by Witty Success
And 2 Misc teams, I lead up a group of newbies up to a L40 and Prima Diva lead a more high level team.
Not bad at all Tankers.
I wanna thank everyone who Hessed with me! -
Quote:I kinda figured Emmert would pull something that would get the players in a tizzy. Hence the desire to avoid That Other Hero Game at all costs...
I think you're missing the point of the main line of complaining over there. Many of those players played CoH as well, and did go through those changes you listed. They also expected Cryptic, especially Emmert, to learn from those mistakes and not make them again in the very next game. Plus, the changes going in, and the paid expansion, are superceding filling in major gaps in launch content and bug fixes.
Quote:The game's been out long enough for wise folks to realize that the tune hasn't changed, and they're voicing their concerns. Not surprised at all, and I don't blame them a bit. I'd also be surprised if something similar didn't happen during the first 6 months of Star Trek being live. Once is a fluke, twice brings doubt, but three times would be a pattern.
...seriously...?
(much wailing and gnashing of teeth) -
Apologies for lateness of response. Week has been busier than scheduled.
I'll hopefully take a good look this Saturday, and hopefully by then get more of the novel fleshed out for rough draft review... -
-
It's a 2 PM Pacific time listing.
Did you mean having an evening event? -
Hola.
I'm finishing up a novel I've gotten to 50,000 words for NaNoWriMo last November (rough draft, obviously) and hopefully will get it done this week.
The novel is a superhero-themed work, and it will need a cover. I'm wondering if there is anyone who can accept a commission...
This is my first time asking, so I'm not too sure what the rules are.
Please be gentle.

I apologize having missed your birthday, Dinah. I hope it went well.

instead of creating new toons, why not alt-build the toons you have?
Toon creation is a terrible addiction. It keeps you from playing the toons you have and need to maintain. Yes, there's not much to do once you hit 50. But the things you can do - team with friends, above all - should still perk your interest. -
Got the new package, installed it. The same problem with Disc Two popped up, so I took it out, wiped it down with an official kleenex (tm) and reinserted the disc and willed the computer using my A+ certified powers to accept the damn disc this time and it worked. I'm now waiting through the update via the Launcher to complete...
-
You know, they don't write a lot of songs about libraries.
Gotta think through my playlist. -
Quote:I have installed the Launcher. But the launcher found error on its install attempt, so I said "bleep" and I shipped the package back to Amazon. I'll get a new package Monday.http://us.ncsoft.com/en/launcher/ncsoft-launcher.html
Install the launcher, tell it to install Aion (The launcher is what's used to launch/update it anyway even if you install from DVD). This way, when the package comes, all you'll need is a key to start playing, and you won't install from DVDs and then have to watch for it to patch up 8 versions. -
Quote:I seem to prefer either Blaster (4) or Tanker (3).I would assume so. I personally downloaded it.
As far as classes go it all depends, what do you usually play in CoX?
Quote:- Chanter is mainly a buffer with some heals.
- Cleric is a healer with some buffs.
- Assassin is a stealth DPS class like a Stalker.
- Ranger is just that, ranged DPS mostly.
- Gladiator I would say is like a Brute, it does damage and has tanking abilities.
- Templar is the Tank of the game, that's enough said.
- Sorcerer is a DPS and crowd control class.
- Spirit Master does damage, has a pet and has some crowd control
I shipped the box back, and they're shipping a replacement scheduled for Monday delivery. But I'm seriously cramming for the 602 by then, so while I might install it Monday night to make sure it works I won't seriously log on until... oh, Wednesday. -
Well hell. I tried the installation tonight. Disc One was no problem at all. I put Disc Two in and the DVD drive starts clicking at me and the install wizard freezes up. /headthump
Computer's not reading Disc Two at all.
I needs to return/exchange it, right? -

Quote:Oh. Ah.If you're intending to run the game on multiple computers from a portable drive, it doesn't really work that way.
It will still have to install on every computer, you will just save some time because it won't have to copy/download the files. This is because most of the games have to write something to the registry.
The game just showed up. They said two-day delivery, this was kinda like 1.5. I was expecting it Saturday.
If I install tonight:
1) Where do I go?
2) What's a good AT to start with? -
Quote:hope to be there on the 19th.This month's Virtue TTTour marks the culmination of all our efforts to bring the Tanker Tuesday lifestyle to all servers.
As of next Tuesday, Jan. 19th at 9 PM EST, EVERY King's Row wall near the IP gate on a NA server will have had at least one TT!!!
2009 was a momentous year for TT which included it's 5 year anniversary, a record five TT's in one month, and the TTTour which reached every server kickstarting the Justice Tanks to start their own monthly TT on 2nd Tuesdays, and TT:Reloads on the 3rd, 4th, or even 5th Tuesdays!
Thanks to all the great Tanks that helped make TT such great success in 2009! Hopefully, 2010 will be just as fun.
Stay tuned for updates on future TTProductions in the MOTD on the TankHQ channel(/chanjoin TankHQ).
I'm hoping to get a 45+ level TF going on virtue since I actually have a 45+ tank there. (possibly STF)
Be there, or be squishy!

Um. There ARE still pirates out there... arrr? -
Might also install it onto a portable hard drive (as well as CoH/oV, in case I can take this to MegaCon). You can install games on multiple drives, can you?
-
RP = dunno. I host a Pirate-themed SG, past that you'd have to ask aboot.
PVP = not that huge in Champion. Not sure which server is.
Teams = BMT channel. Certain SGs host weekly/nightly events. Thanks to AutoSKing this isn't as hard as it used to be.
TF = BMT channel definitely. Unlocking and offering Hess TF is a win.
Why are you here? = I SEEK THE GRAIL! -
Amazon was selling it for $28 plus tax. I know I'm coming late to game, so where do the Champion server ppl log in?
-
Hola and avast, ye seadogs!
I want the hardest, hardiest krewe of the cyber seas to gather in Champion server! As pirate krewes had a say in what the ships did, I call upon ye pirates to let me know which day/time are the best for ye to log in as pirates! so we can go raiding for rum and pillaging for power ups.
Lemme know so we can get a few days teamed up for the coming month.
Let's see if we can make some of ye seadogs to Level 50 Captaincys, arrrrrr! -
-
Virtue, right?
...need to speed level a new tanker then. Okay, everyone join me for a sewer run!
