Sunday Night Costume Clash

Presented by: Disciples of the Darkhand

Where: Atlas Plaza
Time: 10pm est/9pm cst/ 7pm pst

Prizes:
First Place: 10 million inf
Second Place: 5 million Inf
Third Place: 2.5 million inf
and
2 Runners up: 1 million inf each

Note: Prizes are subject to change without notice. Rare salvage, uniques (enhancements and recipes) and superior recipes will make appearances as prizes at the discretion of DDH members.

There is usually no set theme as we appreciate personal creativity and imagination. Bios are sometimes considered by judges but are mostly disregarded.

We are not repsonsible for injury, death and/or dismemberment due to personal actions before, during and/or after costume contests.

So 10pm est?

I would not be opposed to changing the time if it means more people will show up.

A couple of points that were also discussed after last weekend:

Please choose one costume and stick with it. Do not change costumes repeatedly.

No powers other than weapons, if it accentuates the costume/character. Please don't use: rain of fire, ice storm, ice shield, snow storm, shadow fall, emp powers, ff powers, kin powers, rad powers, sonic powers, storm powers, thermal powers, lightning field, fire "aura" powers (toggle), ice "aura" powers (toggles), etc. Basically, if it is either a distraction and/or inhibits sight of your costume, please don't use it.

Remember: The more people that show up, the better the prizes get

Uniques, recipes, rare salvage. Everything that we were able to transfer between all of us is in the billions in influence.

The more people that show up the more likely they will make an appearance as prizes.

Those are the tame ones, of course he's not gonna show the eye sores.

Ham still refuses to change his "uniform" to the new one...he's still sporting it old skool.

I'm usually looking over his shoulder when he's in the character creator, I do team with him and I don't want a headache, which a few of his "non joke" toons have the gawdiest costumes you've ever seen :P

Amount of PvP: Does forum PvP count?

Amount of Powerleveling: Absolutely, positively NONE. We believe (and I say this from personal experience) that a good team is more efficient at racking up XP/Inf/prestige than PLing/Farming.

Amount of Drama: Ham is the only drama queen we allow in the SG...anything else is set to a bare minimum of "if you start it, I will finish it" Eh, it happens in the best of places, we prefer good-natured drama to the "you hurt my fweewings I'm going to rant on the forums about how sucky your SG is" drama.

Size of Base: Small atm, no porters, no med bay...have the most important thing though...a bar!

Requirements: Be good, cool and fun or be somewhere else. Basically, we don't open recruit, we've done it and 9 out of 10 new members don't make it past the two week point. Please contact one of the people below for a team invite (doesn't matter the level of your toon will SK or exemp depending on level range) and register on our website (or check it out for more info).

Other: I would really like to stress that this group of people is extremely easy going, relaxed and fun loving at all times. It's also very very competitive and problems that lead to losing or lack of fun are either fixed very quickly or removed.

Voice chat: Have a vent server that is seldom used due to lack of people. Down atm but with more members that are willing to use it, I will resubscribe.

Another reason is none of us have any villains with the infamy to do this. We'll be starting new villains here sometime soon...maybe in a few months we'll get to the point of doing CCs for both sides :P

This weekend will be our first Sunday Night Costume Clash on Pinnacle. Meet us under Atlas at 9pm est/8pm cst.

Prizes will be the same:

First Place: 10 million inf
Second Place: 5 million inf
Third Place: 2.5 million inf
and 2 Runners up: 1 million inf each

How we play:

1. No powers unless it accentuates your costume.

2. Finalists will be invited to the judges team. When the 5 have been chosen they are taken to our base. (Just moving over it is small, but there will be a judging area by Sunday)

3. We do not announce winners in bcast/request channel. Please check this thread Sunday-Monday Night (depending on how fast I can get the winners posted).

4. Bring your best, your worst or your most interesting. Judges change on a weekly basis, what one judge may not like another one will.

5. We do not repeat. If your toon has won a spot in the finals, please don't use that toon again for awhile. Players are allowed repeat spots in the finals (meaning - bring new toons).

Alright guys and gals,, unfortunately we will not be holding our SNCC tonight as I have tried a few times today to get on without success.

After some discussion between myself, the voices in my head and our current awesome members, we will be holding our next SNCC next weekend, February 1, 2009 (Super Bowl contending - sorry guys and gals I'm ebil) at 10pm est/9pm cst.

Just a heads up...

The SNCC scheduled for Sunday, January 25th, 2009 may be canceled due to Double XP weekend. Will give a final decision on the 23rd.
