    The Feature teaser has been released. Closed Beta is going to start real soon. According to Kerensky, Closed Beta is going to be very short (probably just very initial debugging under a soft load) before moving quickly to open beta. So, I'm guessing I11 will be released a few weeks before the Winter Event, i.e., early to mid December, thus meeting their three-issue-per-year goal.

    We don't know. Announcements of new costume parts is traditionally left as the last run-up teaser before release to live, if it ever gets announced at all (or even included in the Patch Notes).

    The Devs are a bit slow to catch on to how rabid the costume fan base is and to use costumes as a selling point. <sigh>

    You mean the arachnos mace you can shoot with? That's highly doubtful you'll be able to customize that with a shovel that shoots!

    Drawn weapons have a longer animation time than other weapons, but it is made up for with higher initial ACC.

    The drawing and sheathing of weapons adds nothing to the animation time of attacking. If you already have your weapon out, you will still have the same amount of 'rootedness' in the animation attack time. If you watch carefully, you'll see that if you attack with your weapon already out, there will be a slight pause at the end of the attack animation in which you can do nothing (you are 'rooted'). That amount of time is exactly equal to the time of drawing your weapon. If your weapon was not already drawn, you go through the animation of drawing and attacking and there is no pause at the end.

    The only times I can think of that an in-game power or costume reward was given an an account wide basis is the purchasing of special editions and in the veteran's rewards. Everything else is on a character by character basis. So... you can pretty much count on unlockable weapon choices being a character by character deal and not account wide, unless, it's part of a Vet Reward.

    This applies only for *unlockable* weapon choices. We'll have an initial list of standard choices available for all toons from character creation onward.

    Don't count on a revamping of the Exemplaring code. Too time consuming and too likely to cause unforeseen bugs elsewhere. I give this a likelihood of less than 1%.

    The first Feature announcement of a new issue almost always has a complete list of major features. Since EATs were not mentioned, then we can safely be sure they won't be in I11.

    Of course, we been told they're working on it and that there's an overall plan to Issues 9-13. So, I'm fairly certain if I read my Devs correctly (and I often do) that EATs will be here by the second issue of next year (summer '08). But, just a guess on my part.

    Simply to go back and to do missions one has outleveled is what we've been asking for ever since the original beta. Later on, the role-playing explanation was that this was a 'flashback' as in comic books (or any literature) jumping back in time to tell a story that may have been missed in the current continuity.

    Most probably not. Ghost Slaying Axe is very particular. Although who knows. If you have the Axe Powerset and you customize the type of Axe, it just might change the look of the Ghost Slaying Axe (although I'm guessing the Devs wouldn't want that to be happening).

    If you don't have Axe Powerset, then no, you won't get to pick types of axes, and thus, no customization for the GSA.

    Well, you wouldn't be 50, instead, you'd be auto-exempted to 15 (I'm guessing). But, you'd have four times the number of enhancement slots than you did at 15 plus an easily obtained Shivan.

    The colors of rarity follow the colors of difficulty of foes: white, yellow, orange, red, purple. Has nothing to do with WoW.

    Shields won, but is taking too long to animate. Second highest vote getter was Willpower and here it is. (They warned us in the poll that choosing difficult-to-animate powers would result in delays.)

    No. Yes you do.

    Weapons customization is simply choosing a different weapon to brandish about. None of the animations change, so, yes, you will be sheathing and unsheathing it. Whether the animation of (un)sheathing plays or not, the animation time of the rootedness of the power (how long you can do nothing while the entire attack cycle animates) is always the same. Yes, the overall animation time of drawn weapons is longer, but you get an ACC bonus as compensation.

    For the old sets (other than Dual Blades), no, you can't choose handiness. Broad is right, Katana is left (I think) and will remain so. They're not revamping animations, just the object the player holds.

    There's no mention of the weapons showing up on backs or in scabbards. That is certainly not part of (and probably never will be part of) the powers' animation. It would have to be a costume piece -- either new belt options, new back options, or the theorized 'coming someday' backpack option.

    Timing: I'm guessing that I11 will be out mid-December. Happy Holiday Gift Giving Season! The Development team is pretty serious about trying to stick to a 3-issue-per-year deadline. So, they have til the end of the year. With the announcement of the issue Features and with pretty strong hints that closed beta testing is starting real soon, then all the signs point to Fall testing and early Winter release, right before the Winter event (which usually runs from the week before Christmas to the second week of January [for all the kids off from school and college]).

    Not on that character. There is no switching of primary and secondary powersets. You'll have to start a new character with Dual Blades.

    BackAlleyBrawler said that some weapons will be able to be tinted, but some not, at least not right away. Eventually they'll try to make all customizable weapons fully tintable and maybe some or all of them to also have customizable auras. See here.

    As the Devs are finishing up I11, they're already working on I12 and I13. All the stuff that they hinted at but didn't want to commit to as showing up at a specific time should be coming: Moon Base; Fifth Column; Villain EATs, etc... They all should be here by summer '08.

    Yes, and this was actually a tricky combination to figure out. A Thugs/Trick Arrow Mastermind for example will be able to customize both their left and right hand pistol as well as their bow.

    Crossbows... no. At least not for Archery or Trick Arrow. All the animations require the two-handed standard bow and arrow shooting. Only the bow will be customizable.

    A Crossbow Pistol like the Luddites use could theoretically be a customizable choice for pistols... but weapon animation is very different from the attack animation. You can 'shoot' a crossbow pistol from a pistol powerset, but it would go "BANG!" and shoot bullets.

    So.... sorry, no crossbows for you. (But it would make a good, new Ranged Attack Powerset.)

    The first Feature preview usually includes all the *major* updates or additions. Side switching would be a *major* addition. So.. I'm fairly confident that side switching is *not* in I11.
