  1. ((To explain...

Basically... the universe that Horowitz was so eager to get into and smash, as well as the rest of the group was the wrong universe. It was simply a trial and error universe discovered by Skjebene to attempt to futher his research into time travel and what time streams can take before slowly dying.

The time stream that all of us jumped in to is dying because of that -- good intentions or not so good intentions.))

One by one all the supers began to vanish and reappear in Ouroboros to meet a not so happy Skjebene. "Idiots. Three months of experimentation down the drain and an entire multiverse of creation and life -- gone! Even yourselves in that universe are gone."

Yosef didn't really care and said nothing.

Kamarov luaghed, "well, it didn't kill us. Now we know what not to do."
  2. (([censored]. I had this nice post written out and now it's gone. Son of a [censored].))

    00:01:27

Everything began to slowly wither and die. Bricks fell and turned to sand. Metal rusted and turned to dust. The undead also turned to dust. It was dying -- everything was dying.

The supers from other time streams slowly began to feel... less physical and more mental. This happened to everyone - especially Horowitz.

Six knew what was happening and quickly found her way out of the time stream.

    ----------

"I'm the end of this world." Abdul laughed quietly and slowly began gasping for breath.

"No, time is Abdul." The voice choked him and turned to the masked man, "you. Come with me." He opened a portal which sung songs which only the Gods dare think of. It shined with colors no one has ever seen or heard of before. It slowly tore apart reality and time itself -- unraveling sanity strand by strand.

    ----------

    Valley of Fallen Angels

Ceus and Noble Intent would find themselves standing in a barren valley with two stones in front of them. Each had several runes on them.
  3. Abdul touched the masque (pun intended) and smiled at it. There was something about it that made him smile. Then something odd happened...

    ----------

Yosef and Kamarov continued to fight back zombies, or at least try to.

The Mech fired and ripped a hole though the floor -- and anything in it's line of fire.

((Sorry for short post; busy irl.))
  4. Alharzed wasn't in his bunker at the time of the entire attack -- he was on vacation with his family at an undisclosed location, high above the Earth's surface.

He was personally testing the air craft that his nation's scientists, engineers and astronauts created. It took a year and several months with unlimited funding and a test facility that would be in any engineer's wet dream. The craft was designed to be a reuseable ground to space station and then back again craft. It did the job well and it did it in style.

While aboard the vessel he called the Ishvar Iyada, he received the news as well as live feed from his security cameras. Before I go into detail on this, lets go into more on to what the Ishvar Iyada is...

The Ishvar Iyada is the first of it's kind of vessel. It is the only space vessel capable of tracking missles, shooting missles down, and sending fire back to the sender. It had a rather impressive range of missles to choose from; in short, they were advanced beyond anything else.

It was his personal vessel and he had a crew of 25 onboard at all times. They ate, slept, and lived up there for a month at a time before being sent back to Earth and replaced with another crew that lasted a month.

He didn't like what was going on at all. He debated wether or not to even attempt anything but action had to be taken -- and Paragon and the Rogue Isles were his targets. He didn't want to do what he did, but he did it...

Then something strange happened. He received a package... with a mask inside it. He didn't really think much of it but he set it aside for the time being. He didn't want to worry his wife with the crisis and he hung the phone up with a sigh, "take care of it."

    ----------

Something that resembled an organic Council Mech hulked towards them at a pretty decent pace. It raised it's arm at around twenty meters or so and something began to glow...
  5. ((And. first day of school done.))

Years turned into months. Months turned into weeks. Weeks turned into days. Days turned into hours. Hours turned into minutes. Minutes turned into seconds. Seconds turned into milliseconds. Why? Too many reasons. The main one: everything was dying.

It was written that the true challenge in time travel was not to do it, but to stabilize it. After a set amount was introduced into a time stream, it was no longer stable for human life and slowly began to unravel every fundamental law of physiscs.

    That's what was happening.

Plus, it might just be the fact that this was simply the /wrong/ universe for destruction -- but none of them knew that.
  6. The undead didn't die. They simply pulled themselves back together somehow and kept coming in bigger and bigger numbers. Sheer force wouldn't hurt these undead.

Off in the distance, there was a great harmonic sound of something large and terrible coming this way. It didn't sound too far away, but at the same time, it sounded very far away. Who knew what it was?

The things Sage wrote on the walls didn't stick. Whatever was written into them simply fell to the floor.

  8. ((I will write one tonight. I will be out mostly today due to family stuff.))
  9. Ceus wasn't sure where she was, but she didn't have any choice in what she saw and did. She did learn though some weird visions that the book wasn't magical (In the modern sense of the word).

To find the book she would have to find the folder. To find the folder she would have to find the ant. And to find the ant she would have to find out what this would mean:

"It's with favours as this arrives. The trip doesn't feel the time; the difficult situation of future, candle only to this question as it arrives. It would have to know, Skies."

There was a short pause in the mental projection.

"In the valley of the fallen angels, it is true l searched, the idol she finds. The Currentfast, the infinite storm, goes fast always."

    And another pause.

"The tides without end far away, in order to discover more at last washed away null plaque that it has been encircled from sandy water. Large era, but this knew it was null."

All she knew is that each one told something about the other, which told something about the ant.
  10. Three shambling undead per super poured out of every door and began running straight towards the group. At the rate they were coming, each was responsible for their three. The undead didn't have any formal weapons or anything to really defend themselves with besides their fists and loose items on the ground (should there be any.)

They would attack similar to the infected in Outbreak, but they actually had counters to attacks that were melee. Or did they?

Yosef threw some fire and kept it up for a while. He had it easy, ranged and all.

Kamarov didn't really feel the need to help as he stood there looking around -- apparently he saw something out of the ordinary in the out of the ordinary place.

Six smiled and moved some hair out of her eyes.
  11. Jack eventually would wind up in the same place, shoulder to shoulder with Bladewing.

Yosef just ran and followed Jack, ignoring nearly everything on the streets and kept up a constant speed trailing Jack until he went inside. He reluctantly followed.

Jake and NATE were both inside the building and they too, also were inside with the other three men.

"What's up?" Yosef was always horrible at starting conversations.

    ----------

Six saw it all. She was somehow watching everything they do and added her own little commentary to the entire situation. She apparently enjoyed what she was doing and had no problem doing it because of this. Maybe she was having too much fun? Perhaps she was.
  12. Seal 1-A5 Broken

"Looks like we've got an intruder." Six spoke with a cool, clean, precise voice. You'd never mistake her for what she really was if you saw her. She had the sweetest voice you could imagine when she wanted to have it, however, when she meant business, it took on a different meaning.

Her hair was a faded grey color with black highlights, or was it black with grey highlights? Or was it just how she sat? Black cloth covered her nose, mouth and neck and was tied neatly around the back to blend in with her hair. As for her eyes, she just wore transition lenses. As usual with all "mysterious" figures, she wore lots of black and a trench coat -- though she had a skin-tight white t-shirt on that was clearly visible.

Behind her, in a chair, sat what could be described as a Dark Servant. It didn't really mind being there and she didn't really mind it being there either -- after all, she was the only one that could see it most of the time. It didn't bother her and she didn't bother it -- happy time, right?

"This would be a perfect time to try something." She began to trail on and on about how many different things she could throw at him and decided to see how much he could take of the undead. "We'll go with... undead."

"They prefer to be called the living impaired, actually." The Dark Servant didn't really have a voice so to speak, it sounded like what you pictured. It spoke with visual words written in languages that you knew and imprinted them into your mind where you would see them.

"Whatever." She giggled and decided to play with this newcomer a little.

    ----------

    Seal 1-A5

Seal 1 told him where he was and in what particular area of the base. Seal was a codename, for which, few knew the meaning. 1 was simple, the first area. "-A5" was which section he was currently in. Sounds simple on paper, but when you actually go to look around... not so much. Hundreds of sections, hundreds of -A's and -B's and -Cs and so on and so forth. It's a real headache.

Bladewing would find himself just where he wanted to be. Inside -- but inside was a relative term as 'inside' was simply the beginning of this nightmare of engineering and physics. The laws of the universe seemed to stop inside for some reason -- but it made for a really cool atmosphere.

The inside was a mixture of a series of small passage ways, dungeons, asylums, Lovecraft-like objects, rooms and other things and a mixture of really, really, really big things. He seemed to be in a dungeon at the time, but it rapidly changed into what looked to be a paradise on earth and then to something else, and then to something else, and it just kept on going.

Slow movement was up ahead. It stank really bad, maybe someone or something died in here recently?

((Before anyone says anything, yes I know I am confusing as hell, but that is how it's meant to be.))
  13. The darkness faded after it had been hit with the psionic attack. Maybe that was how you were to defeat them?

Yosef threw a fire ball into the middle of the mob and they too faded. So many after exposure to psionic they were weakened?

    It could be.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Kamarov was pretty confused. "Who the hell is this Jaggermonster and why does everyone but me seem to know /everything/ about it?"

  15. ((And I missed that post about Horowitz blasting them. Lets just assume that they blew up and reformed to create several smaller objects.))

Sage was able to walk right though the black mass but several did break off and follow him.

Nikolai saw that this happened and decided that it would be worth a shot -- they didn't seem to harm him. Several leaps later, he was on the other side standing with Sage.

Yosef however, had several pissed off blobs floating at him. He could try and keep throwing fire at it, but it probably wouldn't work.

There was a voice that sounded cold and unforgiving that echoed inside his head. Psionics.

"Try psionics!" He yelled at no one in particuliar and ran around trying to keep his distance.

Then they got smart - they seemed to become solid so you couldn't run though them anymore, and they also started to emit dark blasts at everyone by Kamarov and Sage. Infact, they ignored those two all together and focused on the others.
  16. ((They don't have brains. They simply are. There is a really easy way to beat them, though.))

((Also, Krazy, that's some pretty kinky stuff. ))

The blobs hovered around and began to rush the targets at the slow speed they were limited to. Anything they touched became absorbed into their overall mass and eventually, they would absorb each other anad that could be a rather huge problem.

Two went for each member of the team. One went low, the other went high.

Kamarov just kept running instead of trying to fight them, it seemed to work for him. Until he made the mistake of running over a bunch of spent rifle cartridges -- they just got bigger and faster.

Yosef jumped up and hoped that he could knock them around a bit with plasma. His limbs were covered in the substance and didn't burn him one bit. He jumped high and landed a powered up overhand strike on the beast...

Mistake number one. It blew up sending everything but the other blobs in a 2 meter range flying.
  17. There were many, many, many interruptions. First there was a small patrol walking down the street doing regular checks. They saw the two boys and decided to approach them with intent of apprehending them as, surely, two teenage boys shouldn't be out when the city was declared a warzone.

    ----------

    Faultline, Paragon City

"Faultline has just been invaded! We don't have many details, but all we do know is that Alharzed appears to be making his assualt on Paragon City." Microsoft Sam always did do a poor job at saying messages, but it got the meaning across. The message was broadcasted thoughout the entire city. Sirens were raised, Longbow were summoned and several other paramilitary groups were also rallied.

Alharzed did indeed send a countner assault out -- and it was massive. Several hundred soldiers and tanks were air-dropped into Faultline and more kept coming.
  18. Seven blocks down nothing but darkness could be seen -- and the occasional blur of movement. Things of pure dark energy and negative matter loomed ahead.

The trick to fighting these was learned though countless trial and error. Every error that was made, several exploded, only to reform and taint the air and ground around the impact site. To kill these, they had to think back... way back.

Though, there was still several blocks to go before they would even come close to these beasts, they still posed a threat... somehow.

Yosef and Kamarov just kept fighting alongside all of the other supers gathered.

    ----------

    "Project DARKNESS unleashed so soon?"

    "Infantry don't do much good."

"Be sure to go out with a bang..."
  19. Ceus saw three items. Another book, a folder with two numbers written on it: 1 and 0, and what looked like an ant. It would take quite a bit of channeling to figure out what exactly these were, but it was pretty obvious to anyone who knew what they were and why they were so important.

    ----------

    "When should we tell them?"

    "When things get interesting."

    "Oh?"

"Let them know after the deed is done."

"It is written as you say. What is the deed?"

    "It will know."

    "Wise choice of words."

The room slowly became lighter and lighter...

    ----------

Oh great. Another psychopath. Yosef mentally kept tabs on everyone, especially the ones that laugh at shooting people up. He was so much different now than he was young.

Nikolai didn't really mind manic laughter all that much, he just loved to fight when he was pissed off and he certantly was pissed off and fight he did. He fought with such speed and power that he and Horowitz tied and competed for who could kill fast enough and often traded first.

The fight wasn't house by house, street by street, but it was block by block. Every block that met resistance was soon crushed. Sapper technology was being used on the heroes as well as slow fields and experimental anti-super weaponry such as odd metals tipping bullets and such. Almost all resistance was crushed in the super's advancement.
  20. "Interesting. They could have learned something."

    "Interesting indeed."

    ----------

With the man pumped full of lead, he fell to the ground, unaware of why he was shot he simply asked, "why...?" Hoping to receive an answer and was quickly answered by Kamarov.

"Because you have the bloodly Necronomicon."

    "...what are you talking about?"

"You know what we're talking about." Obviously this man was of no use to anyone and was simply met with an energy transfer, which finally killed him.

Yosef sighed as Kamarov systematically began ripping though the surviving soldiers who had opened fire at him.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
    <3 Sandri!

  22. Given the onsluaght of supers, the troops rappidly began to retreat and scatter. Then they stopped coming. Only a man dressed in a suit came from what appeared to be the entrance. He had simply one thing to say:"Negotiations?"

Yosef stood and looked at him and Nikolai did the same.
  23. "Oh my..." He sighed. "Change in plans. No sleep tonight. First task: get Horowitz back." He smiled.

Yosef and Kamarov jumped through the portal and landed next to Horowitz who was in the middle of some sort of rage. As all those who followed though the portal would find themselves next to Horowitz.

Not really knowing what to do, Kamarov jumped and ran around looking for possible people in charge and or communication hubs and began systematically taking them out one by one.

Yosef followed Horowitz throwing blasts of fire and the occasional ball of fire at the foes around Horowitz and approaching. He never stopped moving and wasn't really noticed by the soldiers.

However, Horowitz was. Troopers kept coming, a seeming endless swarm after swarm. Squad leaders were yelling orders and frantically trying to figure out what had happened. Snipers were taking their aim...

    ----------

"Dimensional disturbance. Skjebene's portal is offline."

    "Interesting."

    "It's begun."

    "Already? Push the meeting ahead."

    "That will break protocol."

"Do it or I'll do it for you."

    "Aye. It's done."
  24. ((Sure.))

"Very well then." Skjebene smiled. "That leaves of where to start from. I believe that we would work best as hit and run tactics. Seeing this, first mission will begin tommrow morning promptly at 0300. I suggest you rest up."

Mender Michael wheeled a crate of blankets and pillows in and began to pass them out.

Yosef and Nikolai were one of the first to get in line and threw them in a corner.

"If you can't sleep, we'll get you set up with a head start on the operation today." Skjebene added. "Just come inside and we'll get you all set up."

Both of them walked towards Skjebene.
  25. "To destroy the book we'd have to destroy several things at the same time. I'm not sure what those things are at the moment, but I do know that they are probably not too obvious." Skjebene went on again. "Anyone have an ideas on what to do?"
