I hear you, and I understand what you're saying, but to play devil's advocate; we also tie your forum account to your game account, which is why we want to err on the side of security in this case.

The cookie has been set to 8 hours of inactivity AFAIK. This is as far out as it will be set.

The log out issue is definitely a priority for us here at Paragon, and the web team in Seattle is working on it. This goes on a list of things such as getting the character copy tool working and fixing the Hero skin.

I've been meeting with the manager of the web team every week. This issue is not falling by the wayside as we continue to communicate it as a priority.

The optional part has been temporary.

We need it to be mandatory to more easily distinguish between VIP and Premium/Free. The reason for this is to allow them greater access to parts of the forums.
  5. I rarely address moderation publicly, however I will make this exception, then I ask you all to please feel free to PM me with any additional concerns you may have:

We more than welcome your critical feedback here on the forums because this is the appropriate place for it. Helpful comments and informative statements, sans vitriol, flaming or otherwise disruptive statements are very welcome on Facebook. If someone chooses to make such a statement on Facebook about the costume options, I'm sure you will find that it isn't deleted.

I respectfully ask that we please discontinue this particular discussion on the forums. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, I invite you to send me a PM.

Don't get me wrong, I love the art of CoH. But there's a pretty big flaw in the process, especially if you open a feedback thread regarding art assets in testing (in addition to a bug report thread) with little to no intention of actually using any gathered feedback. Feedback threads are customarily created to immediately address concerns the playerbase may have with items, not as a "circular file" for players to send feedback into a vortex.

I think that's the big problem a lot of players see with this issue. You've basically admitted that, even if there were issues with pieces, such as the pre-tinting or lack of options, nothing could have been done before the set was launched. If that was truly the case, there was little to no need for a feedback thread at all. It's like trying to give feedback on a ship that's already careening down the slipway ("Oh wait, there's a hole in the bow? Oh well..."). It makes a feedback thread an empty, futile gesture at best.
    Feedback threads are useful.

We'll make changes where we are able to, such as the case with the COT revamp. In the event we don't act on it, we still store feedback in the collective data banks for future reference. Just because we don't make an immediate change to something doesn't mean we aren't listening (P.S. We are ), it just means that we didn't immediately act on it, for whatever reason.

Sometimes things take awhile to change one way or the other. Sometimes they don't change at all. Sometimes they change immediately. It's a part of the creative process when working on live product. We are listening and taking your thoughts into account. Sometimes we just have different viewpoint, and sometimes those viewpoints change .

Same thing goes for male >>> huge. Each "port" is in all actuality a new costume piece from the ground up.

To elaborate, Jay joined his friends start up. He had been with Paragon/COH for over 7 years and contributed greatly to the artistic development of the game, in fact you're going to be seeing the results of his work for some time to come. It's also worth pointing out, CoH was the only game Jay had worked on in the gaming sector, so it's understandable that he'd want to broaden his portfolio and experience a bit more.

Basically, he couldn't tell his friend "no" anymore and made the leap over. We certainly miss him and wish him all the best. Good news is, we still have two very experienced and veteran artists with both Eric and Cheryl and a new addition joining the art team soon.

I will bring the topic to development.

Realistically, don't expect it any time soon. Schedules are planned out months in advance and right now we're working on both Issues 22 and 23 and art schedules are quite possibly the most rigorous and time consuming of the lot, especially the character artists. Time to revisit previous costume pieces is not currently included and to do so would compromise new costume sets, villain groups, etc, etc...it has an extreme domino effect.
  12. We've been closely following your feedback regarding this topic, both here and on the Beta forums. Unfortunately Cheryl, the artist who worked primarily on the Gunslinger Character Modelling, has been extremely pressed for time creating new costume sets and as such hasn't been able to post directly on the beta feedback thread. That being said, the feedback and concerns expressed have been communicated to the art and production team.

    To address a few points

We've been trying to add unique and different costume pieces for female options for the sake of overall variety, however I understand some of the concerns being expressed here, as does the rest of the Art and Production team. Moving forward, where possible, we will be making more gender neutral/male pieces created for females so as to more accurately reflect the Communities requests. Because each costume piece has to be individually created (we can't CTRL+C, CTRL+V the pieces from male to female unfortunately ), this does mean that we will be offering less overall unique options, however we feel it's important to address this concern.

If anyone took offense to our artistic choices, I apologize. It's not our intent to offend anyone.

Regarding the pretinting of costume pieces: While pretinted pieces give the artists the ability to provide some very unique materials and add more visual interest to select pieces, we don’t want to limit your creativity, either. Moving forward, we'll be offering both a pretinted and untinted option for all pieces which we choose to make pretinted.

    Thanks

  15. I've acknowledged it's a bug a few times. Once on the forums and a few times in Ustream.

Basically, something was changed with the latest PhysX version which caused some variables in KB to fudge. We're working on a fix internally, however I'm not 100% when it's going to hit live.

  20. Just popping in here to update you guys regarding an item we had to remove from the Black Friday sale:

    - Late yesterday we discovered a fairly egregious bug with the Numina's Convalescence set, so we made the decision to pull the item from this weekend's sale. Once we fix the bug we'll give everyone another chance to purchase it.

Sorry about anyone who was anticipating this one, however we felt it was important to fix the issue prior to people paying Paragon Points for it.

Thanks and Happy Turkey Day everyone!

This area of the Store does not contain anything for your character at this time. This could be due to one of several reasons including:
Your character does not meet the correct requirements (class, level, etc).
Your account status may already grant access to this category's offerings.
As your character advances, offers may become visible. New offers are always being added to the store. Please check back often.
It's not Black Friday Yet .
