I agree! The bases have been neglected for too long! About time for new things to happen with them!

"My OTHER alt account agrees with me too!!" (And I started it just today!) -
[ QUOTE ]
Wow, what an incredibly jerk thing to say in reply... Who are you? Mike Teevee?
[/ QUOTE ]
And who are you?
No, seriously, what other name do you post under on these boards? (I can guessss... ) All of a sudden a slew of new postings magically appear which all agree with a certain other poster, and they all have incredibly low post counts.
"Well, you see there Zube... all my alt accounts agree with me!! -

Since my initial inquiry into this got lost in the squeeing, complaining, and rampant speculation...
I've been intrigued by the Midnight Squad storyline since I first came across it, and I can't wait to see what they do with it.
The bulk of the Midnight Squad's work was done in Astoria, correct? (Either before or after the Banished Pantheon messed up the place.) And with BP and the Circle swarming all over the place now, there is much bad magical mojo about the place.
Does this mean... maybe... just maybe... part of the MS content could be the heroside effort to reclaim Dark Astoria?

Do we have any estimated ETA on I12 release yet??? I'd just like to know a date I need to have my villain to 50 by so I can start playing my VEAT hot off the press
[/ QUOTE ]
We have exactly the same ETA that we've had for each and every other issue since launch... -

Devs must have felt bad about pulling blaster unresistable pvp damage so decided to give them nearly 100% unresistable pvp damage with psy......
[/ QUOTE ]
If you'd asked me yesterday what I thought the new blaster primary was most likely to be, I'd have said "Radiation. Duh."
Seems like such a no-brainer to Zube...
Still... psy has a very long animation/activation time. And we don't know what the base damage will be. -

Wait. How exactly do we still have our powers in Ancient Rome? I thought that was way past our "tether" or something?
[/ QUOTE ]
The Carbon Teather is over 5700 years long. Roman was about 2000 years ago.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but...I thought we couldn't go past Breakout (or Outbreak) because our powers were only level 1?
[/ QUOTE ]
What... you want continuity consistancy in a COMIC BOOK GAME??
...gotta stay true to the genre, bro! -

What about the BASES!!!!!!!! Omg Issue after issue, the base builders get the promise... "Its not forgotten.... We'll fix the bugs.... We'll add more content...."
Ok Issue 12, I call Bull! You broke your promise. Yes all this new stuff is great and very much so needed. I bought CoV for the Super Bases and for 6 whole issues, roughly 50% of the updates and 100% of the life of the base... they have been forgotten.

Wow. Just, wow. It looks like they've thrown together an issue with stuff that everyone's been craving for since launch. Customizable powers? Hell Yes! ...
[/ QUOTE ]
Ummm... actually, Hell no.
How in the world did you read that announcement and come up with "customizable powers"? -

One year from today's date I'd much rather be playing a game with more to do than a game that looks pretty.
[/ QUOTE ]
One year from today's date I'd really like to be playing a game that allows me to play my character's actual concept, rather than trying to shoe-horn it into the currently very limited power choices with their set-in-stone animations and/or color schemes. -
[ QUOTE ]
However, they're going to keep trying to figure out a way to do it. If they figure out a way that they can do it without basically writing City of Heroes 2, they'll jump on it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Please note, however, that "City of Heroes 2" is already on its way. Except that it's called "Champions Online," which is supposed to have power customization right out the door.
Yes, yes, yes, I know that there's really no guarentee that CO is going to happen. And some have said that there's no guarentee that it will have customization. But to me, it would be foolish, foolish, FOOLISH for CO to hit the market without it. Power Customization has to be one of the most requested (if not the most requested) QoL feature.
So if CO does come out, and it has customization, before CoH has retrofitted some sort of customization's... -

I just finished a library that involved quite a bit of stacking but not in terms of book shelves. I figured it should go under library images. Here are some pictures of the construction and the final product.

Stick a couple of items up by the ceiling in the corners where the pillars are. This will suppress the ceiling trim in those corners and make the ceiling area consistantly clean and trim-free.
Very, very nice, BTW. -

did you have to make the Faeries so ugly? I want pretty Faeries.

SARAH - (Holding an injured fairy) "Ooo... you poor thing... OUCH! it bit me!"
HOGGLE - "So? What did you expect a fairy to do?"
SARAH - "I don't know... grant wishes or something."
HOGGLE - "Feh. Shows what you know!"

All my fault...sorry about that.

I think it's GREAT that there are so many to choose from, while at the same time limiting the buffs to basically two flavors.
Having several pets to select from means that they can fit more character concepts (always a good thing). Having limited buffs available means that you don't have to choose between the buff you want and the concept of the pet.
Very, very nicely done. -

The people who have been here for 48 months have paid MORE over that time than people who have been here for 1, 17, 24, etc. months. So WE'RE paying for the vet rewards. Lord, the feeling of entitlement among some on these boards is just frightening.

Welcome to 21st Century America. Please enjoy your stay. -

Why shouldn't I recieve whatever everyone else gets.
[/ QUOTE ]
(1) Not "everyone else" gets it. Only the 48 month vets do.
(2) You will get it. You'll get it when you're a 48 month vet.
(3) Sentences that are questions typically end with a Question Mark.

And with live events, you have to expect chaos and pissy players.
[/ QUOTE ]
Meh. Not necessairly.
Pretty simple, really. The "Recover the wedding presents" mission has a small chance of dropping a special temp power upon completion. It's called "Wedding Invitation." It's a single-use temp teleport power that works exactly like a Wentworth's teleport power.
Set it up a few days in advance and give people the chance to sell the invitations at WW's too. That way those who really want to attend can pony up the scratch needed. -

You do realize that if they HAD given a new badge to a limited time event, that would have only served to just ticked off a portion of the badge [censored] again.

Anyone can run the present recovery mission. How about a simple badge for that? -
