4/10 done, with Goblin Queen being the latest completed. I gotta say, I'm nowhere near as bad at faces as I thought I was And breaking down the barriers of the comfort zone is a very, very good thing.

I get way more work done here than I do at my own flat (lack of space, computer temptation, urge to just veg out), so I'll see if I can get one or two more done today before I head back up, and then I can scan the ones I've done in in one go

Heh, don't worry, hopefully this will go well and I can finally get some commision offers out there. And, believe me, I ain't starting off with high prices, not until I can actually get some demand going
Also, yeah...sleep is worthwhile. The creativity was good but the come down....hoooo boy. Talk about crash and burn. -

I never saw this thread until just now and I wanted to say that I love the final Technobot "Cradle" piece.
The lighting and shading really brought the whole thing together nicely, in my opinion (Besides the obviously nice line work on the original sketch of Alpha).

I had literally had it up to the back gears with my art block, and decided to break it wide open while at the same time getting my foot firmly in the door around here this time. I've been hoping for some time to set up commision shop here but, without some examples of what I can do, I'd be woefully undergunned.
And thanks. While I still like the Cradle, I do feel certain that I could do way better than that.
Kalenta is the current WIP by the way, and by WIP I mean the lines are finalised and I'm just getting ready to ink 'em. Your getting perspective and all, mo-fo's!
Ye gods, if this is what lack of sleep does to me then, please, someone get me some bottled insomnia!

If it's ok guys, can you try and crop down image to the bare essentials? Huge, forum busting images do not a good reference make. Geist and Jinken et al have the right idea; nicen eat images with no clutter.
Also, Orchid, does 'Demon Guy' have a name? Just for the sake of titling here. Ta much. -

Sorry. The mad frankenstein experiment has bourne fruit; Captain Blood, as the first one with an all round reference, is done!
I'll ink him up properly a bit more, as right now I don't have access to my scanner (It's 5:17am here, I'm crashed on my friends sofa, it's tossing it down with rain outside, thank YOU Cornwall, and...sleep can go commit messy suicide for all I care right now)
The order may well be very random, as I'll simply latch onto whichever character sparks something off and run with it before the little **** can get away.

Ok, you 'orrible lot! First ten people to post with decent references get a free sketch of their character! Front and side refs are best, back optional. Sketches quality will likely be variable, but suggesting a keyword, action or pose style is a good idea (and very helpful) Also, the name of the character is nice, since I'm gonna be putting these up on my dA.
