I would like to take this chance to thank you also, for your work is truly eye-opening.

I haven't found mine or any of our teams names yet, but I'll keep looking!

Don't worry... remember you can always turn the XP off for a little if you'd like.

Oooh, I can actually post in response to a Dev post now, even though we never had that ability before!
I for one am loving the sound of super-sidekicking as it will mean that TF/SF's will be easier to find teams for... and if you earn XP whilst Ex'd down, then what can I say? Where do I sign up for it??
When you said that you're looking into a fix for the losing of powers... am I reading it wrong, or do you mean that say if you fix it... a level 50 can undertake Positron's TF with ALL of their powers, but scaled down to the examplared level? Because if that's indeed the case, I'll happily run that TF from there on! -

From both myself and Tygrrfang, thank you for all you've done, and will continue to do in the future.
Whilst I've never teamed with you as I've always been a Defianteer, your Legend spans far more than just 'servers'. See you soon Mumsie! -

Quote:I would have been perceived as one of these... the difference is, I belong to the aforementioned group. I just don't feel that you need to detail your orientation in a game. If nothing else, is the game not full of 'characters' who have secret identities?Just on this thread alone, multiple posters have described themselves as not having anti-gay prejudices, but are opposed to LGBT-friendly supergroups, or think that LGB people flaunt their orientations when doing the same things that straight people do all the time.
As Ms.Gaynor once stated 'I am what I am', but what I am is down to my manners and personality not factors that would take my own personal preferences into accord.
I feel my orientation is a part of me but it should only matter to those I love, and he's quite happy with who I am, not what. -

Quote:btw, I was the Sonic/Sonic Defender you teamed with on that, and one of the only ones that didn't die at the end. :P Thanks for that TF though, was a blast!I also did a very fun Hess TF (my first time ever on that TF) with my L50 Blaster (sacrificing my beloved Rain of Arrows when I exemped /cry), for some nice doubled Prestige which allowed me to finish adding storage to the second workshop in our blueside base, completing its layout.

I'm looking forward to Aion... but I'll more than likely never leave CoH unless I really have to.
Even when I gave up on playing for a few months and went to WoW... I still came back, just because of the fun... WoW just didn't have Endgame... it had the DAILY GRIIIIIIIIIIIIND. lol
CoH might not have much Endgame either, but at least I don't have to contend with a guild/SG drama every weekend. :P -

Lode-y!
Good to see you around, and at the very least, well.
I'm still around on Defiant, even if a lot of the old guard aren't anymore. :P Still, regardless of where you are, hope you're still having fun! -

Quote:You can always turn off XP for a little while to slow yourself down if you so choose to.First let me say, I am a farmer of convenience...meaning if there is something on tv and I can mindlessly push buttons, I will. This double xp let me down. I logged in on my second account to finish off a level and hit it in like 5 minutes. That's when I knew it had happened...double xp was applied to AE. I didn't touch the game the whole weekend.
It's pretty sad because due to my hectic schedule, I will usually log on to do crap stuff like change a costume, but thanks to that, I didn't touch it at all. Architect is getting to the point of outrageous. I still like the stories that I do find there, but when I found out double xp was applied to it, it became no fun. And that's really aweful cuz it doesn't take much for me to have fun. I am not knocking AE because the idea is good, it's just the implementation is flawed. I'm not gonna rant on, but that's my two cents. -
True FFM, very true. Still, doesn't detract from the fact that the loudest noises seem to have trouble listening.

Quote:You're being sensible.. stop eeeeet, stop eeeeeeet!I know nobody has yet really started flaming or beating on each others beliefs (quite an achievement given the subject matter) but I'm thinking it might be time to take a break, step back and generally agree to disagree on some points.
I doubt anyone here would reduce the topic to flame-bait. You all seem like nice, intelligent people (and I KNOW Floating fat man and Myopic Aardvark are) but these types of things always seem to draw in the intolerant.
I vote we all agree that segregation is bad, acceptance is good and people in superhero games deserve their privacy respected sexuality wise. -
Although, oddly enough.. if I ever create a new toon and hit 'Random' for a laugh, why do I always get toons in pink. Not a little pink, no... just a massive heap of PINK!
Could just be me setting it off though. :P -
Myself?
I managed to level my Sonics Defender to 35, a MA/Invun scrapper to 34 and a Stone/Axe Tank to 33. Gained a few levels here and there with a few other toons, although mostly of note, I got a Brute to 20... I don't really have any other villains apart fom my Stalker.
Met some awesome people, chatted, did stuff and had fun.
How was it for you? -

Quote:Aye... I mean, you could always be teaming with FFM and not realise it!IMO, in this game, here and now, it's not a fight that needs to be faught. I've never seen any incidences of the GLBT community being picked on in this game, and if I ever DO, I'll report the scuzzbags immediately.
Congregating as a group in things like GLBT SG's, or even single sex or ethnic group SG's and the like is just segregating yourselves, in an environment where it just doesn't MATTER who you are. You could be teaming with Kim Jong Il and it just DOESN'T MATTER!
We all share a thing in common, we all like to play CoH. Let's just group together based on THAT and leave artificial boundries for the idiocy of the real world, yeah?
But yes, less aggro, more playing together aye? -
Quote:Oddly enough, I've intergrated fine. I am who I am and what I am is what I am, but that will never get in the way that I'm no different than others whom I'll meet on my journey through life. Anyone who has met me will tell you that fun and friendship comes first. If you want to know my sexuality/lifestyle then that's fine, but it's hardly an issue. If you want to decide not to like me because of it then that's their loss.Sure thing! I'm not a fan of injustice and yes I have been persecuted in my life. I can't think of one persecuted miniority that has over come injusitce by simply intergrating into the main stream. One can not fight injustice without being seen/heard. In a perfect world in which everyone was treated equally we would have no need for specialized groups but we don't live in that world. So people feel the need to group together and share their experiences.
If gay SGs are harassed they have many tools in which to report the offenders. If you don't lilke their ******** I suggest not reading their posts.
You say that you can't fight injustice without being seen/heard... but remember, there's two sides to the coin. The only thing I refuse to do is look at both sides.
