I posted a screen shot of how this move usually ends up looking like I'm performing a colon examination. Well whether you saw it or not, I'm wondering if it is in fact feasible to change an AS graphic or not? It doesn't _have_ to be something new, but how about something less.... intimate?

Just shout "Kanchou!" when you do that attack.

    Now THAT is funny.

Okay, in case you didn't see it on the beta boards, here it is......

    Kanchou: The rectal assassin

I'm kinda wishing I would have named the character Kanchou.... how humiliatin'. I love the look of the MA set otherwise, so that's why I kept with it. I would love to see something something less personally intrusive for the AS though. A flying elbow crack to the skull. Something like that.

Anyway, as you can see in the picture, I finished examining the Aberrant and told him to come back and see me next year.... oh , and I told him to eat more fibre, and less.... corn.

    I have a quicky.

First though, I think it's awesome you're so responsive to the Stalker communitty. Truly.

On to business. I don't know if you saw it or not, but in beta I made a request/post on changing the Martial Arts Assassin Strike A.K.A. Rectal Assassin.

I said I probably wasn't going to take MA/* in live but I just love kicking stuff in the junk. So my new mission is to get that AS graphic changed.
  3. Havok,

It's been a few days since I respeced JawCracker into your perma hasten style build. It's been super solid.

I'm soloing my missions on Invincible but it isn't easy. To be frank, the hard part is endurance. Even with end reducers in attacks, it's a bit slow. I'm sure that will change in time. For right now, I go to my contact and fill up my tray with blue pills. That's right, I said all blue pills.

The only thing that slows me down is end. I admit, taking a high end boss can be hairy but aside from a boss, I'm more than fine. I just have to count bananas between attacks or else you hear that disturbing *Shhhzzzzzzooooom* as your toggles drop and you hope the bad guys don't figure out that now is the time for them to kick you in the junk.

So last night I dinged 27. I hardly use Dull pain right now for end issues, I also hardly have one of my defense toggles running (I only use Invinc and Unyielding) as my health is fine. I can't afford to replace all my SO's right now but I'm thinking now that Stamina is 6 slotted (was 5 slotted at 26) life will be easier. Right now I don't know anyone who has a 'natural' contact in Bricks for SO end recoveries. D'oh.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that although I wasn't shooting for Superman per say I did get a great build out of your guide. And I think it's great that you come back and comment on other people's version of your build.
  4. Thanks for the response.

I'm unsure about flight. I've had it with my controller a long time but right now, as of this writing, my tank has Combat Jumping and Super Jump for travel. I hardly use combat jumping for its end use, but I do use it in tight situations.

I've swapped Stamina and KO blow around and Stamina will be 6 slotted (as it is now in my current build).

I guess I'll put off slotting Invincibility until late 20's, early 30's. Damage is always nice.

I can't wait to try this. It should feel pretty diferent (especially if I do take flight).

My toon will go from a cigar chomping, leaping, massive bar thug type to a spandex wearing type who may even end up with... (gasp) a cape?!

    Thanks again!
  5. Hi Havok,

I've tried tanking a few times, in a few different flavours but recently I've re-visited my INV/SS and am loving it. I'm hooked. I finally feel like I can tank (I just dinged 25.)

I'm about to respec JawCracker at 25.5 and I've decided to move away from my current build to try this superman-ish idea. I like the idea of being an anti-superman type (not sure what that means.. yet (CoV tanker?))

Anyway I've never posted a 'could you please look at this' build but I'm stuck. Here's where I am:

So. How does it look? My own thoughts so far are that I instantly noticed I slotted Invinc differently then you. Is this a waste?

Furthermore- I am mostly a team guy but find I'm fine with punchvoke. Therefore, you'll notice most of my attacks are low damage. I also find I am having a lot of trouble in invincible missions and endurance usage... I go through it like water and can only use K.O. blow about once a fight or else I'm buckled over, sucking wind.

I'm taking the resist specialties a little later because I want to have travel and End recovery.

What's new for me in this build is the idea of Perma Dull Pain (never had hasten or dull pain before, never needed it so far). But this build (yours) looks even more... invincible. I also had SJ, but flight is so fun. I plan on fighting on the ground though.

So I'd appreciate a critique or two. I just finished Terra Volta so I want to use the respec tonight after work. And the above is what I was planning up to 30-ish.

The only downfall I see in some of these (fantastic) guides is that they _rarely_ take the early game into account. I understand you've been a '50' for a long time. For my sake, pretend your huffing like a 4 pack a day smoker but you don't want to run from mobs either. (then again Dull pain might be my magic pill).

Again, thanks for posts like this. I remember reading one of your early ones (back in the 'Krunch' days I think). Posts like this keep the game interesting for vets who want to explore. Great read. (I'm even going to start reading the series again)
  6. I'm new to the defender genre and this build really interests me. What I'm wondering is in your build, the one you call tankfender, what is your travel power? I can't figure out what it is, unless I don't understand how one of the other powers work.

    Thanks for posting this.
