  1. Aoleleb watched Nether come into the view of the statue, then watched her move away.

Oh please! He wasn't that gullible. Bending the air around him, he turned invisible. He flew back from the statue about 20 yards, waiting for Nether to come to the top.
  2. Aoleleb came out of his meditation with a jolt. He had sensed Nether Mistress coming out of a portal at Portal Corp.

"You must want to die." he growled into the air.

He waited for her to come. If she wanted to fight, he was willing to oblige.
  3. ((Um, Garret, I'm on the other Island SOUTH of PI, where Crimson is.))
  4. "Aoleleb, we have a lock on the device. Nether Mistress lost it in the midst of her battle with Lord H'taed."

    "Excellent! Thanks Krystell."

Aoleleb opened a portal back into the Shadow Shard, on the Island that Nether and H'taed fell off of. He could barely see the glint of the device falling into oblivion.

Focusing on its trajectory, Aoleleb opened a portal directly below the device into his pocket. He smiled with satisfaction as it plopped right into the portal. He closed it and opened one next to him to Peregrine Island.

He stepped out of the portal slightly south of the main Island. There was a large statue in front of him. Reaching into his Pocket, he pulled out the device.

"Yes! I got it! Krystell, can you teleport me to GoPC HQ?

"Um, actually, I can't. One of our other operatives was being teleported back here when a blast of dark energy was thrown in after him. It fried the system totally. You're gonna have to wait a while until we can get it up and running again."

Aoleleb swore explosively. He had almost been killed three times today and now he that he finally had the device, the system was down. He flew to the top of the statue and settled into a meditative position. It was gonna be a while before the system was back up.

((Just to clarify, GoPC HQ has blocked their dimension from being teleported to by anything but remotely opened portals, just to prevent any of their enemies from teleporting there.))
  5. ((I kinda already see what the weakness is. Since Aoleleb closed his viewing portal before that happened though, he doesn't know about it.))
  6. Aoleleb looked down from his little hole in the sky, this was gonna be interesting. He closed the portal and opened a new one slightly closer to their location. So Nether DID have the device after all. He couldn't decide what to do now. Should he try to help Nether in some way, or just let he battle take its course? He closed the portal for now. Maybe he'd look in in a while.
  7. ((Am I gonna have to pull a Deus Ex Machina again..? ))
  8. ((Just so yall know, and as a reminder to myself so I don't become too powerful, Aoleleb has control over the elements. These are Earth, Water, Ice and Air. He has some control over the energy elements, Fire, Electricity and pure Energy (as demonstrated by his massive detonation), but those are not as strong as his control over the elements of nature. He can also travel around using portals, which can teleport him almost anywhere.))
  9. Aoleleb let out a frustrated sigh.

"That's all right, I'll be able to find it in a few hours. Hey Krystell?"

"What? Is it not enough that I just saved your life a few times over?"

"I love you too. Can you get me a lock on the location of the deivce?"

"It'll take me a while, but sure. I suggest you don't stay by the Storm Palace. The Rularuu will surely be able to sense you with the amount of energy still hanging off you from that blast."

"Alright, I'm gonna stop by my Pocket and rest a while. It's been a rough day."

Opening the portal to his Pocket he left with this remark.

"Thank you for your help Nether Mistress. I hope we don't meet again."

    The portal closed behind him.

((I'll be back, make no mistake about that. Interpret his closing words as you will No he can't read minds.))
  10. ((Oh, ok, not that it matters anymore :P))
  11. Aoleleb looked out through the small window the portal provided into the Shadow Shard.

"Well, it looks like Nether escaped and has the package. H'taed is apparently not going to bother me anymore. Guess I'll get out of here."

Openeing a portal back into the Shadow Shard, Aoleleb landed right next to Nether. The portal closed behind him

"Sorry about back in the Storm Palace. I needed to dispose of H'taed somehow and I was fairly certain you'd make it out."
  12. ((I'm lost. You said it was not able to stabalize because I threw H'taed into it. Aoleleb and Krystell stabalized it now, so it should send us SOMEHWERE.))
  13. ((I do have a dimensional teleport, one of the perks of being an trans-dimensional peacekeeper ))
  14. ((I have a plan too, you don't have an anti-teleportation field INSIDE the portal do you? Now who's a schmuck? lol :P If I may inquire, how did it become destabalized again?))
  15. ((I didn't post it, I edited it.))
  16. ((We just did. Well, me and H'taed did, sorry about that Nether. Dive in after us. Anyone feel free to say where that portal is going. With all of us jumping in, H'taed's interference, along with GoPC technology, that thing's goin nowhere close to where it was originally aimed. :P))
  17. ((Cheater! You shouldn't edit a post after someone else posts. It screws everything up. :P))
  18. This was going to leave him drained for a while, and possibly save H'taed if he wasn't already dead, but it was Aoleleb's and Nether's only chance of survival.

"Krystell, are you able to stabalize that portal from GoPC HQ?"

"Um, I might be able to, but it will take a few seconds."

"I knew this was gonna be a rough day..."

Calling on all of his energy, Aoleleb let a out a huge explosion of energy which destroyed all of the Rularuu around him and pushed Nether away from the portal. He forced his energy into the portal, willing it to stabalize. With the combined efforts of Aoleleb's magic and Krystell's..well, whatever she did, the portal stabalized right as Aoleleb fell into it.

"No matter where this is going," he sighed, "It's got to be better than there."
  19. Aoleleb almost laughed at how naive H'taed was. Being an trans-dimensional traveler, Aoleleb knew all about portal energies and knew that the beams would only hold him in place until the portal stabalized.

He flew toward the ground and pulled out a mound to wrap around him and hold him in place.

"Oh yes you are!" he spat back H'taed.

He wished he could help Nether somehow, but he had to concentrate all his energy on holding him in place until the portal stabalized.

((Well, I could have just flown you into the portal without grabbing the device. Aoleleb's mission is simply to retrieve the device or destroy it if he his unable. That however, would have ended the story, and that wouldn't be good. Personnaly, I thought you were gonna say something along the lines of the portal stabalizing right before you flew into, but your way took me out of the fight for a while until the portal gets stable.))
  20. Aoleleb saw his chance to end this once and for all. Seeing the portal over at the other side of the room, he knew it was unstable and would probably destroy whatever used it. Using his powers over electricity, he held the rope so it would stay still even if he moved. Calling on the speed of the wind, he flew down and grabbed the device from H'taed before he could even blink. He flew straight toward the portal, slightly above it. He flew right over it, but H'taed momentum was carrying him straight toward it!

((I can't wait to see what he thinks of to get away from this.))
  21. ((I must've missed that in the patch notes one day, even though it does make sense :P. I wish H'taed would hurry up and post, I wanna see what he does.))
  22. ((Rereading from page 6, I found this statement pretty ironic.

"I'm sorry Mr. Blowhard, but I think someone needs to learn thier periodic table. Electricity ALWAYS SEEKS THE GROUND. As of such, I can become literally cemented to the ground when I need to be. You just made a very. Big. Mistake."

Electric Armor has no ingame knockback resistance :P))
  23. Noticing Nether running behind his boulders, Aoleleb decided to help her out in case H'taed found some way to dodge or (the more probable scenario) destroy his boulders. Calling on his powers over the air once more, Aoleleb bent the air around Nether to make her invisible. Remembering what H'taed did to his last stone attack, Aoleleb got ready to redirect the rock away from Nether in case H'taed blew them to pieces.
  24. ((By the way Nether, and maybe H'taed if you didn't know, Aoleleb is still floating in the air. The boulders were pulled out of the ground in much the same way as the Kaolin of Earth use their ranged attack. Thanks for the compliment Nether ))
