Thank you for the 8 years of memories. I know I haven't been around much, in and out with life and other games, but when I logged on to read the news of losing COH, it crushed my heart. I began crying, rummaging through the original Hero Dawn photos.
City of Heroes and Hero Dawn, was a piece of my heart that never died. When I was asked to help create a SG for fun back in 2004, I never realized how many people this would grow to touch. How many friends would be bonded forever, and how large this server would become. I never thought that something like this, would feel like I was losing a great deal of importance. Something that was always there, even if I never really focused on it.
So to my fellow heroes:
Goat & Doomie, thank you for everything. Thank you for making this into something more then originally planned. You two became the foundation that was needed to keep the red and white going as long as it did.
Grit, I will always remember having to teleport you around PI. All the laughter it brought when Cpt. Shwan couldn't become the "most powerful" blaster during his time.
ChiaoFeng and Lynn. Your identities still remain a mystery to us. I still do remember that time you spoke once, queuing your mic on accident, but your secrete will be safe forever with me.
Arky, Hereon, and Millennium King, see you in GW2.
Vine, love you B.
Keri, thank you for the farms for the final 50. Even though I never got to experience a fire brute the way I wanted to, at least I can say, thanks to you, I had one.
Words, thank you for your support the last month. Thank you for being you, and always remember "Lights".
NovemberSky, this is one of the hardest to write. We all became so close, and due to IRL, the last 2 years have been a distance. I miss the RP circle and the nights of laughing during base building. I was hoping to regain some of that the past few months, but it appears that that will always remain a distant memory.
Mac, thank you for the fun times and good luck with your future of become a luchadore (sp? lol).
Warren, thank you for the laughs in PD. Good luck with everything.
Mercurias, thank you for being you. B and I are still around on skype. Feel free to hit one of us up at any point.
Nelo, I'll always remember seeing you around PD. Good luck out there w/everything.
To everyone else, past and present, I love you all. Thank you for the 8 years of friendships and memories. Thank you so much for being friends when I needed it, shoulders to cry on when I was down, and the laughs, love, and memories that shaped my life in a way that no one else could.
This is Laser., Astarte the Mistress, Airea, Shkae Torrek, Aed Fiamatta, and all the other parts of me, signing out.
Love,
Heather
