Sometimes it is hard to see the light when faced with imminent darkness. Be assured however, even in the darkness, sparks of light emerge. It has been a long run in Paragon City, longer for some than others, but all were here of their own free will trying to make this city something great.
Atshen, while a god, had a human form. In this form, he was a devoted husband and father. Like so many others, when he heard the call for help, he was unable to ignore it. Rushing to the aid of The Statesman and so many others in Paragon city, resuming his god form, and fighting for what he believed was right, he would pay a terrible price. The price was the loss of his family.
Jennifer was Atshen’s wife. She never thought the day would come when someone would stand between them. She was wrong. The Statesman came between them. At first it seemed so innocent, watching her husband spend an hour here or there helping out in his spare time. Then it consumed him. There was never a moment her husband was not needed. Then he stopped coming home all together. She was devastated, angry, and vengeful. She came to paragon as The Vindictive Wife to seek vengeance on the one that destroyed her family. She would not rest until the one they called The Statesman was dead.
Axing Questions was the son of Atshen and Vindictive wife. He was left without a father at first, and then without a mother. He had so many questions, and there was one place and one place only he could find answers. That place was Paragon City.
This is a terrible story, or so it would seem, only to be further darkened by the final days of Paragon City. But as those final days lie before us, they all discovered each other. This world, no longer in need of their services, has allowed them to reunite. The light, and the end of this very dark tunnel, is a family reunited at last.
As the captions are a bit hard to read, they say
Atshen: "This world no longer needs me. Can you forgive?"
Vindictive Wife: "You are forgiven. I will always stand by you."
Axing Questions: "A family, finally reunited."
