Just wanted to say thanks to Paragon studios for their time and effort on City of Heroes. I used to play the game all the time with my wife until issues of her health forced our hand into retiring from the game. Between the medicine bills and other monies that were going out... playing a game seemed like a luxury we couldn't afford.
My wife passed in December 2010 after ten months three days of marriage. We had actually spent more time playing CoX together than we had been married. After she passed I came back to CoX to let SG friends know what had happened and have been playing since and have met a lot of new friends. Its also been nice to be able to go places that my wife and I spent a lot of time at. I know that may sound strange.... but its true. Its the old familiar places that heart embraces... So... when I logged out and found out that CoX would meet its demise in November, I was saddened. Not just because of the friends and enemies that i would miss... but because places close to my heart will cease to exist in the virtual world. Yeah, I sound like an idiot I know... but its how I feel right now.
So I say my farewell to the staff of Paragon Studios who have made the game so enjoyable over the years.
I'll be playing, and faceplanting as I also do on trials and the like.... but this was something I needed to say today, while its fresh.
