New farmer
with SS/Fire it seems like farming is one of your only options

FA is better on a Scrapper for general play though, IMO, because of Shadow Meld. The only problem is that Burn makes things run, but with Melee Hybrid you can have a taunt aura 50% of the time. You might also consider Titan Weapons, it does roughly the same AOE as SS and better (?) if not comparable ST, and it has defensive sweep to help with defense. I have a TW/FA Scrapper for general play that I like a lot. It has 32.5% defense to all positions with DS, and hits the incarnate softcap to them all 50% of the time with Shadow Meld. I haven't farmed with him other than when I self PLed, but I imagine he'd be pretty solid once I get him Hybrid.
Alrighty so this is what I have come up with...not sure if it can farm but give feedback, I need to know if it's possible. I think I'm going to start this character now.

Hello all, I've recently decided that my Invuln/Elec Tanker was no where NEAR as fast as I needed him to be to farm. So, I want to level a new farmer. I'm not sure what I was thinking making a TANKER farm, I guess I didn't understand just how OP Brutes are in comparison, SAME res and def caps, and the rage meter.
So I've already decided that I want Super Strength because why the hell not, but I want something different than most. I want a secondary that will actually keep me alive, not just kill everything, it may be faster but I want to be able to do more than just farm with this guy, and with SS/Fire it seems like farming is one of your only options as all the builds I've seen have around 11% to all defenses and 50% resistances.
So, is this possible to do and still farm quickly? If not, I will make whatever can do both and stand things other than just fire and just use the Tanker for my PvE needs. I really want to be able to dish out the damage needed for farming but I also want to survive for more than 10 seconds against anything other than fire. Also, PLEASE try to squeeze in SS/SJ if you do make a build, I can't stand not having a travel power.
[EDIT] I think I'm going to go with Dark Armor. Seems to have enough defenses and resistances to last and still can do damage. Please, if you have any, post a good SS/Dark farming build! Thanks! [EDIT]
