I was thinking earlier about possible defensive or secondary sets to go with blasters/trollers etc, and one thing I thought could be quite fun, have interesting mechanics and work well with masterminds too is Aspect Manipulation.
Let me explain...
As enemies (or even MM pets/allies) are defeated, an Aspect Manipulation user can bend the abilities of these fallen entities to his or her will, up to 3 active aspects can be running at once and players can choose which 3 aspects (including stacking 1 aspect 3 times) to utilise for each situation.
I will of course need some MAJOR help with the numbers here guys, but here's some ideas.
Multiplicity: Summons an image of a defeated entity around you, causing enemies to target the image and yourself, increasing your chances to dodge the attack. +Self/Pet Defence(all) (stackable upto 3 times unless other active Aspect powers are already at 3x)
Unspent Rage: Summons up the violence present in the mind of a defeated entity, channeling it against your foes. +Self/Pet Damage (stackable upto 3 times unless other active Aspect powers are already at 3x)
Meatshield: Raises a fallen entities previous resiliance to use in bolstering your own. +Self/Pet Resistance (stackable upto 3 times unless other active Aspect powers are already at 3x)
Essence Grasp: Utilises a portion of a fallen entities previous health to replenish your own and that of your allies. +Self/Ally Heal(AoE)
Stamination: Draws the remaining endurance from fallen entities to replenish your own and that of your allies. +Self /Ally Endurance(AoE)
Retrieval: Draws the remaining energy from fallen entities to revive a defeated ally. Rez Other
Aspect Overload: Draws the remaining energy from fallen entities and releases them explosively. Negative Energy Damage (Superior) - note this is an AoE power that causes AoE explosions from fallen opponents, designed to use midway through battles.
Reversal: Draws a small portion of your own essences to hurl at your opponents. Negative Energy Damage(self) Negative Energy Damage(Minor) ranged attack that damages self, can be used to finish off opponents or suppliment other attack powers, but not without a drawback or causing damage to yourself.
Stagnation: Enemies in close proximity feel week and tired as you subtly draw their essences to power your abilities. +Toggle(AoE) +Self Endurance -Foe Recharge -Foe Stamina
I'd love to hear some feedback and see what you guys think of this as a set, I'm worried it might sound a bit OP, but the idea is a set that requires some forward thinking to get the most from during fights.
