Dark Control - Possess Bugged?

It seems like Possess is causing the confused enemy to draw aggro to you. I've been out of the perception range of both Longbow and Arachnos, confusing lieutenants, and then having all the attacked mobs come running straight to me. Then when the confuse runs out, that enemy attacks.

The power isn't supposed to notify so this shouldn't be happening.

Do you have any procs in Possess?

If so they can be what's causing the problem.

I know that the AoE proc in the purple confuse set can draw aggro and damage procs might draw aggro from other mobs in the same group as the one you confuse, though I'm not as sure about that.

Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.

I was standing out of range as, on two separate occasions, a Longbow Warden and a Tarantula Mistress attacked and defeated enemies. After enemies were defeated, the rest of the mob attacked me - some of them coming from around a corner so they definitely wouldn't have seen me. It hasn't seemed to happen since though.

The problem there isn't Possess. I have had this happen with Confuse and Mass Confuse on the same critters, as well as Fortunata Mistresses.

This may have something to do with the fact that these critters posses a version of Tactics which they periodically activate. Tactics provides both protection and resistance to confuse effects, so activating it may mean they either completely break out of the effect or at least that it wears off sooner (which may unexpectedly end stacking required to mez boss critters).

I am not sure why breaking confuse would cause them to attack, but these powers also grant +perception, which may simply mean that they both break free of the confuse and can see you at the same time.
