Dual Blades/Willpower/Soul Brute

Having taken inspiration from an excellent recent DB/WP Scrapper thread (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=285308), I was hoping to get some Brute players' perspectives on my build. This is my first lvl 50 and the first time I've used Mids (I have just worked out how to use it on a Mac via Wineskin).

(1). My goal is a highly survivable brute that dishes out excellent damage for use in end game PvE content. I play in teams 80% of the time and solo 20%.
(2). Defence - I want to softcap S/L and E/N defence without gimping damage or regen. Currently I am at 47% S/L and 43.9% E/N. How can I squeeze myself over the last 1.1% E/N?
(3). Regen - Currently 660% with RttC active.
(4). Damage - I feel like my attacks are under slotted but I am not sure how to boost them without losing defence.
(5). Alpha - This is the first character I will incarnate. Which Alpha slot should I take?
(6). Theme is important: this toon must have hover and soul mastery. She likes to mix up sword and darkness attacks. I want both the Attack Vitals and Sweep combos.
(7). I'm not too fussed about Resurgence or Strength of Will. I plumped for the former in case I am soloing and there's no rezzer around.

Swapping the Devastations for T-Strikes in Gloom would get you the defense you want. I'd look closer with a datachunk (just check the box in the mids export options), but at a glance I'd want High Pain Tolerance slotted more heavily for heal enhancement, it's a sizable +HP buff.

If you've got enough recharge to run bf-av-repeat, I'd probably look at Vigor for the alpha. If not, spiritual.

Thanks very much for your advice EJI. I have changed things around a bit and am now at soft cap for S/L and E/N def, boosted damage in my attacks and dropped hasten and moved a slot to High Pain Tolerance to boost HP, and taken vigor (as I can run BF -> AV and/or BF -> Sweep without hasten). Really happy with the build now. However, something is wrong with my Mids in Wineskin and I can't export the build, let alone the data chunk. I'll post it when I can work out what's wrong.
