Need help regarding mob sizes

Hello everyone. I am kind of new to the forums so bear with me.

I am trying to create my first AE mish and I am running into a problem with the mob sizes. The mob sizes seem small(about 6 enemies per mob) for the difficulty that I have it set at. The enemy is a custom group that I made that has 12 minions/2 Lt./and 2 bosses. No AVs or EBs. I have the enemy diff set to hard because I read on the paragonwiki website that the harder the diff, the more enemies in the mob, but that is the only thing regarding mob sizes that I can find. I have read the tutorials from the AE instructor and can't find anything there either. I have my diff on my toon set to /*8 for added effect(I hope). I've tried different sized maps for different quanties of mob spawns just to play around with it. Is this size normal? Or should it be higher?

Any help would be appreciated.

If this post is in the wrong spot, my apologies.

So, there's a few different factors to consider when it comes to enemy group size.

For starters, a standard group at +0/x1 difficulty is 3 minions or 1 minion, 1 lieutenant--so for every lieutenant in the group you're fighting against you've lost 2 minions. Bosses work similarly... I believe they're rated at 5 minions (though I'm not 100% sure about that).

So, think of an enemy grouping in terms of point values:
Minions = 1 point
Lieutenants = 2 points
Bosses = 5 points

I want to say you can expect a single group of enemies at x8 difficulty to be worth 16 points. That could mean 3 bosses/1 minion, 2 bosses/2 lieutenants/1 minion or any other grouping that adds up to 16 points.

I might not be completely right about the "point values" for bosses or the number of "points" in a x8 group, but the concept is solid--every boss in an enemy grouping means it's going to be several members smaller.

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into it. That just may be the case.
