melt armor is good for striping defense and resistence and i believe it is quite powerful, however, if your like a truck as you say and you have no problems watsoever, maybe you should consider getting just fireball and fire blast and get more attacks, maybe even go to the redside get the mu mastery set elec fences and elec ball for more damage.
the options are endless 
JUst hit 50 with my claws/wp brute and set him out he hits like a truck and no end problems took melt armor and fire ball good choice or not?
